Very reasonably priced food for Angel. Portions are great and the service is top notch. Always good to see the owner in the shop promoting his business. Would recommend!

My partner introduced me to this cafe some years ago and the food and atmosphere have always been great. I prefer this cafe over many others that I have been to.

Nice little traditional Cafe in the heart of Islington. Very reasonably priced too, expected to pay a lot more in Central. Not many proper London cafes around now, recommended. Tenner got me a meal and a cup of tea, very reasonable for good food.

This place is special. It's a family run business. Dad has been doing his thing for decades. The kids help out. They tell him he's got to embrace Deliveroo, and they also say they don't get paid! All I know is that the service is always good, the food is honest, the portions generous, the tea is as it should be. I'd just as happily have egg and chips here as I would a chateaubriand at Frederick's, because it's equally good at what it does.

It may not look great from the outside but the food was excellent and the portions were huge. I had the mushroom omelette with chips and it fed me and 2 kids. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Prices are very cheap as well. Overall excellent breakfast! May be my new weekend spot.

Very cheap for the area. Food quality is decent. Usually always busy but always find a place to sit. Service could do with being a bit quicker and really I would say that they should do what other cafés do and that is pay once you have eaten. I felt the bread they gave was a bit hard but was nevertheless a decent bit of bread. The breakfast was very cheap for the amount and also the quality and this was what I was most impressed by because most places, especially in this area charge so much for very little and are an absolute rip off! However, this is a great place and will definitely be coming back here more often. Highly recommend and lastly, they do a great cuppa!

Excellent Family run cafe. Yes it’s a cafe so expect good quality cafe food. Full English with tea and toast for under £6. You can’t go wrong.

Love this place. Great prices, and look after the local community well whilst also catering for office workers and students. Staff friendly and owner is lovely (as are his kids who work there). Highly recommended for both sandwiches and hot food.

Excellent lunch. Well cooked.very reasonable prices. Prepared to cater for dietary problems. We'll be back on our next visit to Sadlers Wells. Only disappointment was they were closed when we returned after the ballet performance for a cup of tea. Thankyou
