I keep coming back for more! I enjoyed their egg fried rice with chicken so much. I recommend any rice dish they have. I love how it is served as a circle and the noodles taste great too. Plus, their dumplings are delicious! There is something spectacular about their soy sauce too. I wish the prices were cheaper but still, definitely worth it. Very quick service too!
At the end of the day, search for some good food led us to dis place. I ordered Vegetarian noodles and spring roll. I m giving it a 4 star due to the authentic taste of the noodles. The spring rolls were fine n the sauce wd the spring roll was fabulous. Just a quick thank you for the hospitality.
If you are looking for halal for at Westfield , this place is a decent option for you. Went here for the first time , and to be true ..I’m not that satisfied as I was expecting. Ordered spicy fried rice with prawns and chicken , which was supposed to be spicy, but it wasn’t. Though it tasted good but not great and the price overall wasn’t worth it as well. Ice lemon tea was great without a doubt. Due to the price range and the quantity+quality we got...I am not sure if I’ll prefer this place again.
Honey Glazed BBQ Chicken served with Oyster Sauce Noodles: £7.95 & Ice Lemon Tea: £1.95 | It's such a happy moment when you find halal food that isn't junk food and that's exactly what happened today. I was out shopping and came across Lotus Leaf and decided to go for something familar which was the chicken and noodles. My goodness was this delicious! The chicken was cooked to perfection, tender and soft, I was able to cut through it without any struggle. Also, the bbq flavour wasn't overpowering, it was perfectly seasoned. Never before did I have oyster sauce noodles so I was curious to try it. At the first bite, it tasted salty but the more you had it, the better it got. It wasn't anything special in terms of flavour but it was tasty. The noodles weren't too soggy, definitely cooked right. The ice lemon tea is something I didn't taste prior to today and it's definitely something I'd go for again. It was such a refreshing drink, perfect for todays weather. Presentation wise, hats off to the staff. There was a huge cue as it was the lunchtime rush but their presentation was spot on. Despite there being so much sauce, there wasn't a speck of it on the sides- fully impressed! I also liked the little cup they served the drink in- very cute! Also, they give you a buzzer like device which flashes when your food is ready, rather quirky me thinks! Service was great too, didn't have a long waiting time and the server was super friendly. All in all, head to Lotus Leaf people! Foodie.007 x
This place just doesn't get anything less than a 5.
I'm always one to try different dishes but even with all the variety in Stratford Westfield I still find this place extremely difficult to avoid.
They have my favourite thing to eat outside of home; chicken satay with noodles. Their version is just amazing, great tasting fresh noodles drenched in their satay sauce has me drooling every time I think of it. I've had this with different people and not everyone likes it as much as me and my wife do, but they all found it at least nice, so definitely worth a try.
I've tried some of their other stuff and for me it doesn't come close to the chicken satay with noodles but it's still pretty good.
Located in Westfield Stratford City London Lotus leaf is a hidden gem!
Lotus leaf offers delicious tasting authentic chinese street food
There is a small island kitchen so you can see the chefs making little dim sum dumplings and preparing everything freshly before your very eyes. The place is clean, food is fresh and the service is prompt. if you haven’t been before you may find the ordering system a little confusing. You order and then are given a little beeper which will buzz when your food is ready.
They serve some of best noodles that i have tasted. Really tasty, hand-pulled noodles ,full of flavour. The prawn toast and accompanying sweet chilli sauce also very tasty. The handmade dim sum dumplings are delightful, very flavoursome.
I always come to this place when i go shopping in Westfield Stratford. The food is a tad expensive but well worth it as portions are generous and food delicious. Would highly recommend.
In sum- lovely chinese food, cooked fresh as you wait. The noodles are standout! Well worth a visit if you happen to be in the Westfield shopping centre.
This was a ‘loner lunch’ when shopping in the rain. I grabbed some steamed wantons and the barbecue chicken bao. Both were great, their prices are slightly inflated but I left full and happy and I’d go back if I was shopping again. (A rare occurrence, and I wouldn’t make the hour long trip just for two baskets of dim sum).
You wouldn't think that a chinese joint in a food court would be the place to go for roast duck on rice - let me change those preconceptions straight away.
I didnt have high hopes - it's a busy mall and a busy food court and not terribly cheap to boot, but what a find. The duck is good quality, not excessively bony or fatty. The skin is crispy and the meat tender to the bite and the accompanying chilli oil packs a punch and complements the umami rice and duck flavour beautifully.
A real surprise!
I had the Roast Duck with Jasmine Rice. And a noodles (cant remember which one)
The duck was very good. Succulent, juicy, delicious. The rice was good, the soy sauce made it an overall solid combo.
The noodles, however, was bland and/or under-salted - I'd recommend not to go for it.
There was big queue to order. I think that's a testament to the fact that they do make good food.
I was a little surprised to see it rated so low on Google.
We tried prawn fried rice, egg fried rice and last but not the least noddles with chicken gravy and spicy sauce. It was so delicious I can’t get over from that.
Everyone should try and also it’s halal ☺️

My GF and I love this restaurant very much. We are Hong Konger and Taiwanese, and it is surprising that they can make Chinese food so well even without one Chinese chef. I see no reason why some people gave them one or two stars, probably their tongues are broken. This is our second time coming to lotus leaf and we will come every time when we visit Westfield.
The fried rice were very good and deserves five stars however the dumplings I wanted was not available so had amend according to the availability. The portion on the price does not deserve four star along with its taste. Enjou
I'm surprised there are so many bad reviews about Lotus Leaf. I've have eaten at their restaurant so many times, and have always recieved good customer service and food. The majority of the time, I order their duck (off-the-bone) in oyster sauce noodles. It is so tasty!
Absolutely ❤ this place. My new favourite place for fast Chinese food. The flavours, ingredients and cooking styles are authentic. Prices reasonable too and comparable to any Chinese restaurant that is more centrally located. Certainly better than a nearby rival chain that I previously reviewed.
I'm a bit confused why Lotus Leaf has so many bad reviews. I've been there several times and gotten good service and good food. Majority of the time I order the roast duck with noodles in oyster sauce, super nice. Other than pricey drinks, Lotus Leaf is one of my favourite restaurant to get a quick bite when craving Chinese food. It's also Halal.
They also can offer service big you want catering. Just ask the manager on site.
I ordered noodles with seafood and black bean sauce but there were literally 3 prawns. I think they could be more generous with their portions
Good taste but the paper sheet in the dimsum basket got stuck to the dumplings and tore some apart
Great Chinese food in the heart of Westfield. Kung po, Black Bean, you name it. Pretty spicy!
Good portion size, good flavour. Was a bit on the expensive side for whats just a pop up in Westfield. Water was £1.90……….
