Really nice ambience and the restaurant was full so totally recommend making a booking. The staff was also very efficient in tidying up! The dessert - chocolate ball like was delicious. Would totally rcommend to share at the end. One was a lot of one person. We had the beetroot burger, katsu curry, the salad, the pie, the miso aubergine and the courgette flower as a starter. We loved the courgette flower and the aubergine. Plating was very pretty. A bit on the expensive side as portion was smaller but quality was top notch.

I have been visiting various The Gate branches and absolutely love their dishes but also the atmosphere of their restaurants. This evening, I visited this branch with a friend. The Aubergine Schnitzel was delicious and so was the Dark Chocolate Snowball desert. The team on site was attentive and friendly. Overall, a lovely atmosphere for a place to dine out in Central London. Highly recommend.

We had a work dinner here and everyone who are not vegan really enjoyed their meal. The starts were amazing and so much to choose from we ordered most of them to share.

Follow my food account on instagram @best_restaurantsldn 🥦The Gate - Marylebone 🥕 * Who’s New Year’s resolution is to eat more veg? * Are you veggie and fed up of only having one option on the menu?? Try ‘The Gate’ next to oxford street. Their focus is one healthy eating. The Gate has won awards for sustainability, and locally sourcing its ingredients. * Choosing their set menu was an easy way to save some money. The restaurant had a good atmosphere, definitely a good spot for a romantic evening. The food was delicious and had so much flavour, anyone would enjoy this. You dont have to be veggie. All in all we enjoyed our evening and felt like we had eaten so good food. * We ordered: * A La Carte * Christmas set menu: 2 courses for £28 or 3 courses for £36 (glass of Prosecco included) * Starter: Plantain Fritters * Main: Aubergine Schnitzel, Wellington * Dessert: Sticky Toffee Pudding Ratings out of 10: * Taste: 8 * Service: 6, the food took ages to come and they seemed short staffed * Price: 6 * Presentation: 7

Such a discovery! We were in the surroundings and had no booking, we tried another restaurant that had not availability and then tried here. When we took seat we realized that it was a vegetarian restaurant. It fairly exceeded our expectations. All the plates were really tasty and the atmosphere was really nice. Pictures speak by themself. I will definitely recommend it. Good cost-quality relationship.

A food heaven! I don't think words can do justice to this place. It's all vegetarian/vegan and every single item on the menu is an explosion of flavour. Although the dessert was underwhelming compared to the rest of the food, all the starters and mains are worth the price. This is definitely going to be my current favourite vegetarian restaurant in London.

One of the best places for vegan food. Most of the menu is vegan. I actually had my wedding lunch here so you know i am a big fan! All my guests enjoyed the food a lot (most of them were not vegetarian). We had the tortillas and the mushroom risotto cake. As well as the brownie and the mango cheesecake. Everything was absolutely delicious and filling. The desserts are amazing! All the portion sizes were great. The staff are lovely too. Definitely check it out. vegan or not!

Loved this place. Prob one of my favourites on London. Lovely setting and atmosphere. Great service. Plenty of different options. We had the tartar and courgette for starters and the Katsu, Tortillas and gnocchi for mains. All were really tasty and well presented. Definitely recommend 👌

Delicious vegetarian cuisine! I am so happy that I discovered this place. The atmosphere is very pleasant, the menu has great options to choose from and the food is made with attention to detail. The staff were polite too.

I'm blessed to have this excellent restaurant just around the corner from where I stay when I'm working up in London. My wife & I first stumbled on it for a veggie brunch which was excellent. Fast forward a few months and I'm now there once a month and have introduced my colleagues to the delightful menu. The burger is an incredibly well conceived dish, and a great introduction to the menu for 1st timers but I make a point to try something new when I'm in. Tonight was wellington stuffed with a bunch of goodness..can't remember what...and some polenta chips with vegan aioli. It was excellent. All washed down with a punchy Ginger Spritz mocktail. The service is great, the atmosphere lovely. It's always bustling and the wine menu is top notch. Just go, you'll not regret it.

Amazing place for people who are vegan. Never thought that vegan food would be so diverse and unique in taste. A slight disappointed that the restaurant didn't agree for allowing my friend's birthday cake to be cut...that will always remain a disappointment!

What an impressive vegan restaurant. I truly was not expecting this quality of food from a vegan restaurant, there wasn't a single dish that disappointed and I couldn't believe how they made some dishes vegan. You wouldn't even be able to tell that the desserts were vegan if they didn't tell you. Service was friendly though a tad slow at times but definitely a lovely experience. Will be returning for sure.

I love this place I only become vegan 2 months ago but this restaurant is my go to place I have been to the Hammersmith branch too the food is great in both but this one is nicer bigger. My favourite dishes the truffle Arancini the avocado beetroot starter and the main is mushroom risotto. (I was missing the fresh bread that they offered in Hammersmith and not in here) I have tried the tiramisu and the chocolate orange dessert none of them was my favourite. Tiramisu wasn't sweet enough for me the chocolate was too bitter. But rest of the food is very good and the staff is friendly and quick. We spent around £70 without alcohol just water so it is not a cheap place

Had lunch with my vegetarian friend on a Friday at lunch time. We enjoy the food so much, everything was truly great. We order the prosecco menu, having a glass each and three courses so we could try different things. During the day we couldn't stop talking about how good it was. Will definitely be back.

We ate here 2 years ago and I could only give the restaurant 2 stars. We returned last night and to my surprise, the food had greatly improved! It was very tasty, properly cooked, vegetarian and vegan cuisine. I can definitely recommend this restaurant now - 4 stars! Previous Review - from 2 years ago: Unfortunately, the food is obviously not freshly made at order. It tasted like it was made hours in advance, warmed in a microwave and then served lukewarm. Taste wise, the food is good, well plated and pretty but for the price (80 quid for 2 people) you would expect food made to order. Also, we belive the food is made with out herbs - just salt and pepper - not bland just not very distintive. The service is very good. But one should expect more as this is a restaurant not a buffet.
