Went during a quiet time, about 5pm. Lovely friendly staff and a nice half a pint. Very very clean place, really clean. Very much a working class joint, darts board, pool table, Sky sports etc.

Stopped in to wait for a few minutes, quick service and a nice drink. Toilets were functional and looks like plenty goes on there to keep visitors busy.

Pleasant pub with sports on TV and a dart board. Food at the weekend. Garden and seating out front too. No ale on but reasonable lager choice. Friendly staff.

Nelson only had one arm. This pub is a sacrilege on his legacy. Rename this pub Nelson's Arm now. Five stars on the understanding this will happen. The might of the British Navy stands ready to ensure this.

This is a nice friendly pub. The locals love there football. All good humoured banter between rival supporters. Trouble will not be tolerated. About four TVs inside and one in the garden. Food is served. Nice wine and lager selection. Special offer on some cider and lager. Dart board installed on a small stage so people do not get in your way when throwing the arrows. Friendly bar staff.

Can’t fault the place! Good times 100% of the time, every time, all the time… what’s the time?

I give this pub 5 stars purely because it is just that - a pub with decent modern decor and a great place to get away from the missus and watch the football! It's a local landmark and so you cannot miss it. Its about a 8 min walk from South Wimbledon tube station. A local pub but the place welcomes everyone. Last time I was there they were selling some decent bottles of red wine too!

First time at the Nelson, not sure why it took me so long. Noce pub, good food and beer. Could really see they had prepared for their reopening, not a cobweb in sight! Nice atmosphere (even with the footie). Really nice and attentive staff too. Thanks guys.

In reply to the review from Lindsay D, I feel like you didn’t give the pub or locals a chance because if you look at the reviews from everyone else then you would see that there is not any bad reviews and from a customer that has been drinking in here for a long time, the staff and customers are nothing but welcoming and friendly. Best pub in South Wimbledon for sport and atmosphere. Maybe give it another try and not stay for 10 minutes with half a shandy and you might see that anyone and everyone is welcome in the Nelson. As a local guide I think it’s a bit unfair and misleading that you would write a review on a midweek night in a sports based pub when there was no sport on or any event inside the pub. As a local guide I think you should come back and see what the pub is all about. Choice is yours my friend.
