Have been there 2 times! Love the place: cozy, affordable and good to hang out with friends! For every bottle, you will have a unique story told by the guys!
After a warm welcome we spent a lovely late afternoon in the garden drinking cracking Austrian wine.

I was in wine heaven! Take me back please!
Amazing wines, people and atmosphere!!!!
Nice place to sit for a glass, with both the garden out back and shop itself being remarkably tranquil considering the location
It’s a cool place, with a fantastic range of wines that get up to some serious prices if you’re picking a bottle to drink in. I appreciate the layout, display racks and overall design
Today was my first time at the Newcomer Wines , Alice and Trent made me feel so welcomed, the atmosphere of the place was amazing:
I tried different wines which they explained to me one by one, what a great selection!
I will definitely come back soon for more wines.
Great wine selection with good prices, especially if you drink in. Add on a few tasty small plates and it made for a lovely lunch. If you're there try some of the wines by Milan Nestarec, really pure and supple and there's less 'funk' if you're not that way inclined.
Super friendly and knowledgeable staff with a great atmosphere. Also always great to see feminine hygiene products on offer in restrooms. Nice touch. Overall a great experience and somewhere I could sit all evening.
i’ve been here a few times to dabble in their weekly curated by the glass list and came for the christmas party newcomer held this evening. the service is always consistently super informative and personal - whether you’re choosing just a glass after work or a bottle to take home or for a gift and whatever night of the week the staff are ready to help and spinning some great tunes from spotify.
the christmas party this evening though was worth mentioning, a lively community feel with specials including delicious hot dogs (which may become a main stay!), chestnuts and absolutely delicious mulled wine, which itself was on the house! delightful atmosphere and as ever lovely service, and particularly fun this evening.
props to the guys who run this place for a lovely evening and generally a lovely place to go for a relaxed drink. i will be back, and you should too!!
Lovely wine bar in the heart of Dalston. With a focus on Austrian wine (and neighbouring countries), there’s always something new and special to try. Natural only, the well curated wine list will please any cravings!
Newcomer Wines, just opposite Dalston Junction, is everything you need from your local wine bar & bottle shop.
Offering a weekly curated by the glass list, as well as a plethora of bottles to drink in it take home, this is a welcome addition to the neighbourhood.
From crowd pleasing classics to super funky skin contact naturals, there really is something for everyone. If you are unsure, the friendly and knowledgeable staff will be more than happy to guide you to your perfect wine.
In case you are feeling peckish, the bar snacks are simple and high quality - German meats and French cheeses, and, wait for it, they are trailing some pretty damn good hotdogs.
Lastly - killer tunes. Go and drink some wine, it would be rude not to.
Quaint wine shop with a delightful and wholesome selection of organic wines, largely Austrian. A pleasant atmosphere, and very helpful staff, including the very friendly and knowledgeable Austrian owner. Recommend!
Wow such a great discovery!!
Great and different then in other places wine selection!
Somms were so friendly and helpful. Very good prices. We will be back for sure?!
Beautiful little jam in Dalston. This Wine store hides a lovely garden in the back. The set menu is really tasty albeit expensive (around 50pp). They have a great selection of wine, including very interesting oranges! Glasses are around 10-12£. Perfect environment for a date. Really recommend it.
Really love this place, awesome vibe. Great team, knowledgeable, young, passionate and full of energy. Will be returning soon for a glass… okay, a bottle!
Fab wine bar in Dalston, with lots of Austrian wines. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Recommend the pet nat. More grown-up feel than the rest of Dalston.
Popped in once, too expensive, unsuited to location, but good luck
Always get a great recommendation from the team in here, I'm super picky about wine and service but this remains one of the very few places I look forward to coming back & getting some lovely wine.
Have been here several times and have been so thoroughly impressed by quality of service and the selection. Have had some Austrians and Loires that have been truly wonderful and eye opening. Not just due to their uniqueness in some cases, but often just due to the beauty and their being a classic but bold example of a style.
As a seasoned Dalston and Clapton wine bar junkie, this one is great. The staff is so charming and open.. everyone has a nice vibe and makes you feel very welcome. Much less rude than other places I have frequented in Dalston and much better prices. I hope there bring more food and wine onto the menu! I would love to see this place flourish. :))))
