I was lost in London after a day of work looking for a place to eat. Nagoya got my attention due to the plastic food near the entrance, this reminded me of Japan as this is something that you see a lot in Tokyo. The staff was very welcoming, I started with a small sushi course and finished with some Ramen. The quality of the fish was good and the rice was well prepared, as for the ramen the broth was very rich and the noodles were delicious, in my personal opinion it could have a bit more of beef and other ingredients.

Will return to Nagoya on my next business trip to London for sure!

I was in the area for a seminar that finished late and I was searching for a takeaway place around 10pm. The only places that seemed to be open were pubs and I did not want to walk too far.

I saw Nagoya open, zomato rating 3 and I decided to take a chance. They had only one couple who were finishing up when I went in.

It's a small space (they may have more seating in the basement) around 5 tables with a sushi bar. Decor is very reminiscent of small Chinese style restaurants.

The lady at the counter was very sweet and gave me some recommendations when I asked her.

It took some time for me to get home (partly because a certain bus driver refused to stop & I had to wait 20mins for the next one), but the fried chicken had gone a bit soggy. The taste was very good and the chicken beautifully marinated and super tender and juicy. Family and cat loved the prawn tempura which came with a dipping sauce.

The chicken Gyoza was densely filled (personally I prefer a bit more give in my fillings) and tasty. Loved the mini 3ml bottle of sauce that came with it.

The pork ramen was packed with the soup separately. Just 2 thin slices of pork and half a boiled egg (so not too much protein in the dish - more noodles to fill you up though) with sliced mushrooms & sprouts. The soup was a mild broth flavoured with miso. I enjoyed the clean flavours, but brother decided to spice it up. A nice complete meal in itself, if you aren't a protein addict like me.

The lady very sweetly offered me complimentary green tea while waiting for my order and I loved the fact that they lined the base of the bag with a piece of cardboard cut in the right size to keep everything steady.

Nagoya is a good little neighbourhood Japanese restaurant. The menu is authentic and execution is good. Atmosphere is calm and quiet and decor traditional but a little on the lacklustre side. Overall, a pleasant place where you will eat decent Japanese food. It has stiff competition in the area and would need something more in order to stand out!

This is a lovely little Japanese restaurant right on George St. not far from Selfridges,
The place dishes out fresh sashimi, small izakaya plates and noodles etc... The highlight is the teapot soup.. fragrant, clear and sweet perfect soup to accompany the dishes... also their salmon jyu or fresh sashimi on top of a bowl of warm sushi rice is just delicious..

Many establishments think that they serve authentic sushi. Only a few actually understands what real sushi should taste like. This simple dish is one of the hardest to get right, and harder still to master. There was perfect balance and harmony in every piece of nigiri. The sashimi was rich with flavour, but not intrusive. Every maki tasted wholesome, enveloped in the warmth of the lightly toasted nori. And the ikura popped in my mouth like umami bubble wraps :) The experience was near spiritual... I may have attained nirvana, if not for my friend who felt ill at ease without a conveyor belt and the scarcity of mayonnaise :)

Serves authentic japanese food. Tried the ten don and nabeyaki udon - perfect for the cold weather. And as always, the staff were polite and nice rounding up the perfect dining experience.

Absolutely wonderful. Best truly Japanese only menu I have found in a week of restaurant visiting in London (6 so far) with a Japanese chef. Side dishes with real fresh vegetables. Friendly staff and quick service. Authentic taste for non-sushi main items. Came back for more twice after first visit!

I liked this place. Food was very tasty and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and service was quick. I've seen some reviews on here whining about 'authenticity' but I think that's unreasonable given how much they play around with traditional food in Japan. Unless you're a frightful bore and very picky, this is a nice place.

We had a fantastic experience. After making a reservation by phone, the very friendly host met us at the door and recognised our voice and greeted us by name. We were then treated to some fantastic Japanese fare and the service was as good as you can expect from one of the politest cultures in the world (IMO). I would highly recommend and we are going to visit again.

Excellent fresh sushi and sashimi. I definitely recommend the Katsu Don with a miso soup set. The pork wasn't tough and was the dish was in true Japanese style. The experience was traditional and authentic, very reminiscent of my travels to Osaka several years ago. Highly recommend. We will visit again.

Nagoya (名古屋市) cruise. Pretty unique if you haven't tried a restaurant dedicated to that region of Japan. Especially liked their Nagoya style sweet deep fried chicken wings and hot pot. Food consistency seems to be an issue. My girlfriend went back with her Aunt later on, only to find the quality of several key dishes dropped dramatically. At least I had a good experience when I went there with her.

The quality of the place was not exceptional (I also got a bit of burnt oil smell stuck on my clothes) but the food was genuinely japanese. A good experience overall.
