Finally I decided to give a go at this Caribbean joint after seeing it well packed in several occasions.
The place is a classic take away, with clean counters overflowing with food. While the staff can be a bit of a hit and miss, with one guy on the phone with friends while taking orders and a lovely lady willing to help me choose the right combination of dishes.
In the end I went for the obvious with jerk chicken, rice and peas, fried dumpling and fried plantains, and I will soon be back for more, as the food was really good, for different dishes but less food next time, as the portions are generous and the price quite cheap. Definitely a great place for a takeaway in the area.
I'm sure when the lady sees my review she will know who I am because this is my local Caribbean food restaurant I order from here quite regularly because the food here is amazing and has a lot of flavour the food is never dry I am always very full because the portion I get for food the is only £6 could last for two day. The staff are always happy and very friendly.
Amazing restaurant service is normal staff are very polite and is my new West Indies food supply I was very impressed
I always get my Curry goat and oxtail dishes at Gabby's. It's the favourite in the area.
