I was just passing by and decided to pop in and have a look at the menu and had such a lovely welcome. They were about to close but I was offered some food to take home and I even sampled some rum cake!! Thank you Kevin, Jackie and Topsy. Highly recommend this hidden gem
Went last night to watch Noel McCoy performance. Was amazing.. The vybes, the place, the food.. Oh the food � The vegatarian roty is delicious and a slice a caribean rum cake is a must!

So I only knew about this place because of Ebifusion Earth based ingredients, and I must say I will definitely be going back. Fantastically friendly staff who made us feel like part of the family. A visit to the Well Street Market is never complete without having a cup of Winta Warma at NuDawn. Kevin's family recipe of hot rum punch is to die for. It smells divine and tastes even better. Absolutely loved this cosy family run cafe and the people who run it. Proper driver of the warm local community spirit
Fantastic venue with great people working there. I had my 40th birthday party at Nu Dawn, Kevin and Topsy were fantastic hosts and made me and everyone else feel so welcome. I couldn’t recommend Nu Dawn more highly.

Came here with a friend, for what I thought would be a quiet and pleasant birthday treat. What we encountered was a wonderful evening full of laughter and fun. The hosts were attentive, really good customer service they made us feel very welcome and at home. The food- we started with the most delicious fish cakes. Little puffs of joy, so tasty, not greasy at all.
Then on to the Lamb roti and Prawn roti. Never had a prawn roti in my life ( my friend is not a meat eater) & this was so nice that I will be ordering a prawn roti, when i return.
Cocktails - Rum Punch, definitely packs a lovely subtle punch & Honey Dew cocktail made with JD Honey- another delicious experience.
Vibe - the hospitality & atmosphere was exactly what was required post lockdown. Well worth the trip.

I’ll be going back for the rum slushies, they taste amazing!! The rum punch is great too, especially for £5! The staff and everyone in there was super friendly too. Don’t know why I didn’t go sooner, but I’ll definitely be going again!
Visited here with a friend recently and it's really nice. A cute and cosy; food and bar place with a dance floor at the back. Very friendly staff and service with a smile.
Little gem in Hackney friendly staff great game of scrabble going on we got the domino's out hadn't played for years. Sampled the cocktails and roti although a bit salty was very tasty and great value for money
We had our school reunion here on Saturday 12th November and had a fantastic time the atmosphere was fantastic same goes for Kevin and his crew were very accommodating and helped to make our evening special . Thank you all 🥰
I held my book launch at this venue and it was fantastic. Space is clean and cozy. The staff did a stellar job. We even got to join a free rum taster session. The roti is delicious. We will definitely be back !
This was hands down the best experience I have had or shop bought roti in London. I had the lamb roti and everything was cooked, seaosoned and textured to perfection. Even the proportions of all the fillings were perfect. Have you ever had a roti and you are searching for meat and flavour because the thing is pack up with bland potato. Well you will definitely not have this problem here. They also have an excellent island rum selection. They do have vegan options too, and their fish cakes were perrrrfect. I wish they were on my street. They staff are wonderful and lovely. Deffo can't wait to eat here again!
This a great venue that always provides a welcome.. A superior range of rums, delicious food and the cherry on top... A comfortable venue/gallery space in the rear. I'd recommend repeat visits😍😍😎😎😎😎😎
Large spacious back room for a dining experience/ party/dance. A bar with sitting area in front. Very friendly funny & courteous owners. Pleasant easy to talk to. All in all a very nice place.
Welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and accommodating. Lovely night out went on my one met new people nice cocktails and music. Will go back again.

I attended the financial surgery held at NuDawn on 22nd November 2017. I found the session informative and I came away with some useful advice which I will be acting on. They plan to run these surgeries on a regular basis and I would urge anyone who is not confident that they have the best deal on their mortgage, or the right isurance policy, to attend the next surgery. The fee will apply once you avail yourself of the service but the initial drop in is free.
