A cafe is a different beast to a restaurant - I ask for very little, somewhere to escape inclement weather (or bask in it, if ever that happens), catch up with friends over a well-made hot beverage and some tasty goodies. Most of the time, this can prove to be a challenging ask, which might explain why I’m always so happy to visit a Teapod.

We both opt for the Spicy Masala Chai – which comes either as a pot of tea or as a ‘Latte’. I opted for Latte form, which I regretted as it was far too sweet and I suspect had a hand with the syrup – but then I didn’t ask how they made either. Next time, I’ll ask if they can make mine extra spicy and less sickly sweet!

We also opted to share a spiced orange cake, which was utterly delicious and sticky and gooey and probably contributed all my calorie intake for the day, but it was just too good to turn down. Next time though, I’ll get the Lemon, Olive Oil & Rosemary flavoured one!

The staff were super chilled out and content to let us sit and chat for as long as we pleased and we left sweetened and happy.

'There is no problem on Earth that can't be improved upon by a cup of tea'... This is what TeaPod reminds one of with the writing on one of its wall! And this comforting place is just one of those places you want to be at to study a little - or much - or for a short meeting or date! :))

The bacon and cream cheese toasted bagel is delicious if you are looking for something bigger for breakfast. It goes well with the iced teas or the real fruit smoothies! If you are looking for something with a little less calories or more nutrients, the Greek yogurt or porridge pats options are excellent! My preferred one is the Greek yogurt with strawberry, banana, granola and honey! Yummy! That is perfect after running the Queen's path, which is close to the cafeteria!
