This modest restaurant serves good food but don't expect to be pampered. There may be a long wait at times so you are served quickly and politely encouraged to vacate the table. The waiters are very polite.
If your around in the area and you want to try some non veg with a twist then head out here the food is amazing and the staff and service is amazing.
Good food...good filter coffee and a well lit restaurant with lot of natural light...
Nice place to have non veg of Indian style. Great place to hangout with friends on weekends. Had my 1st treat in this restaurant in london.
This place serves some of the authentic Indian curries.Went there with a bunch of friends.
I liked paneer tikka and manchurian for the starters.
We ordered Chana masala, aloo gobhi and kadhai paneer for the main course.
Biryani was well flavored.
Fresh juices go well with the food.
Everything was cooked to perfection. Seriously couldn't find fault with so many dishes we had.
The North Indian cuisine scores over the South Indian one. Nothing can match Sarvana Bhawan for South Indian food.
Good value for money!! Would definitely recommend this.
This place is always crowded and noisy(the only glitch).
Was on my way back home from east ham on a Thursday evening and contemplating what to cook until I saw this place at the corner. The Taste of India ..True to its name, this place does justice to the Indian Curries as well as the South Indian dishes.
The place is clean and has a traditional diya at the entrance which gives it a very Indian Feeling.
I decided to get a take away for 2. The prices were reasonable and totally worth it. I ordered a Chana Masala, Malai kofta, Butter Naan and Garlic Naan. I also decided to order wada to have at that time till my take away arrived. The wada was good.
As promised by the servers, the take away arrived in 15 mins. We ate the meal at home and really liked it !
This place is definitely worth a try ..best thing about this place is that it is authentically INDIAN food !
A stellar start to the long weekend!
I was a bit worried as my previous experience at Taste of India near Euston was very poor.
This restaurant really stands out and gives great authenticity to its name and flavours.
We ordered Chicken Chukka for starters , Prawns Kothu Roti and Crab Masala , we were looking to order Jigarthanda ( as a dessert but it was unavailable due to no milk and ice cream which is fairly disappointing in a good restaurant ) .
I loved the Crab Masala ( deserves a 5 star) very few Indian restaurants can serve this dish with such authenticity and the portion size was amazing to my surprise.
Chicken Chukka is definitely recommended for its spicy tangy and great chicken marination.
Service was good , the lady was really polite and service friendly. I saw a gentleman server who always had a smile and you really can't ask for more ( unfortunately couldn't get his name ) .
Overall , It definitely gives you a "Taste of India"
Delicious vegan food. The selection of vegan food is bigger at their other restaurant. This one serves meat too. Lovely ambience, kind waiters and good portions. I have the vegan channa batura and vegan idly. Make sure you tell them to omit the yoghurt as one of the side dips in the channa butura.
Weekday lunch time, went as a group of 4. Ordered veg Manchurian and chicken lollypop as starters. For mains, we had mutton biryani, butter chicken and veg kofta curry with butter naan. The biryani tasted better than many other places and butter chicken too.
Felt like I was eating somewhere in south India. Amazing quality food with proper authentic Indian dishes.
Only negatives were service could be better and the naan bread we ordered wasn’t soft enough.
It’s a surprise menu so make sure you state any allergies and preferences beforehand. You eat in the complete darkness but you do climatize to the surroundings. Amazing experience. The fun is guessing what your tasting.
Is one of my favourite places to have Indian food, always the best and very friendly staff.
Last time we had Paneer 65,Ghobi manchurian and mutton biriyani was really good however the mutton mandi was not that great. Will definitely recommend for anyone looking to have delicious Indian food.
The dining experience was satisfactory; the food was flavorful and offered a diverse array of options. However, there was room for improvement in the staff's responsiveness as they appeared somewhat slow in attending to our needs, although they maintained a friendly demeanor throughout the visit.
I loved Tandori Chicken and Kadhai Chicken (extra spicy). Food is awesome👍
Thali was average. The butter Naan was very soft and delicious. The chicken curry was tasty too. I will definitely go to try other recipes.
It was a decent meal. Whitebait could have been a better- it had too much batter . Coffee way too basic and too strong. First half of the service was really not great. Later a new waiter came, an elderly chap, who was very sweet.
We had veg biriyani and gobi 65 which was tasty and crispy, my husband liked their sweet naan. Good place to have Indian food, but i think dishes are slightly over priced.
Food is great as always. You get great south Indian food, just that if you are a big group visiting , just make sure with them before , as space may be an issue ..
Thoroughly enjoyed the food here! Friendly service, lovely and clean.
Taste of india, this place deserves the name and food is tasty as well, service is so good and fast, boti fry, paaya and parotta special mention.
Biriyani is not so good.
5 star for the service.
