By far the best Indian restaurant in the area, just a shame it's only a takeaway!
I love to skip the rice/naan and bulk out my meal with potato and spinach/courgette dishes - this place is great for vegetable sides, and even better for their curries.
The meat is good quality, and portion sizes are always good and fair.
Their biryani is brilliant, but as is the case with pretty much every Indian restaurant I've been to, the token vegetable curry slop it comes with as a semi-free extra is meh.
The Tiffin Tin was at the top of my road when I lived in West Hampstead which was amazing - food ordered and delivered within 20 minutes. The quality is good, portions just right and I'd highly recommend the tandoori salmon (although I'm yet to see that on the menu in India, perhaps I need to venture out of New Delhi and closer to the coast.)
Thumbs up Tiffin Tin.
A fantastic indian takeaway, delivering what others seem to find so difficult - fresh, tasty curry that doesn't taste like its been sitting somewhere for days and meekly reheated before being put on the bike. I've been getting takeaway from Tiffin for a couple of years now, probably around once a month, and never had a bad meal. Especially love the Jihnga Masala (king prawns) and the murgh friezi. Portions are good, meat is succulent and sauces are rich and beautifully flavoured. If you like your curries hot ask for extra heat and they'll whack up the chilli-ometer. Long live Tiffin!
One of the best Indian takeaways in North London. A bold statement maybe, and although I don't think it can quite hold up with the best Brick Lane can offer, it is a trusted go to place for me when I don't really want to leave the flat.
Often take aways can be a bit disappointing, after all, your food is prepared, has to wait for the delivery guy, then wait in traffic while it gets to you. Luckily with Tiffin Tin they are quite efficient and everything is always still reasonably hot, and portion size is more than generous. Particular fan of aloo chop for starters, which is perfect for dunking in a curry. The Murgh Jaypur is another favourite, chicken with cashews and coconut, fantastic flavour.
Don't order anything that is not likely to be that great after 10 minutes in traffic, like the fried squid, it tends to go quite soggy and rubbery, not great.
Tiffin Tin is really good value for the amount and quality that you get, especially compared to other fairly 'generic' bland tasting alternatives in the area
I enjoyed the vegan tikka masala with their seitan/tofu and creamy sauce. I wish that there were vegan naan options too like there used to be, though, as only the boiled rice was a vegan side.
The food at Tiffin Tin is, in my opinion, better than almost any Indian restaurant I know. I say "almost" because there are a few excellent, generally 'modern' Indian eateries such as Babur, in Brockley, which are in a different league both for food and price. However, compared to most high street joints, Tiffin Tin is far superior.
One aspect which I always appreciate is that the kitchen is open, so if you stay to watch you can see that everything is indeed cooked fresh, from scratch, and you can observe that the standard of hygiene is good.
My favourite dish is Mirchi Lamb, which contains plenty of good-quality pieces of meat in a rich and tasty sauce, and always one or two quite deadly little chillies which anyone with a delicate palate should fish out! (I love them)
The mixed veg curry is also excellent, with a big variety of vegetables, moderately spicy.
If you like to go to order in person, service at the counter is always friendly. You get a couple of nice crispy poppadoms as a freebie, and the only very slight let-down is the rather cheap mango chutney (like runny jam) which comes with them.
All in all, a great way to enjoy good Indian food!
Great variety on the menu. Freshly made food which tasted great.
Friendly staff.
Clean premesis. Take away only. Free on street parking after noon. No AMEX accepted.

Service is good and the aroma is mouth watering. The preparing time worth waiting for as they deliver fresh. Also the taste was fabulous. Hospitable host, delicious dishes and beautiful presentation. The delivery bags and containers are environment friendly. And maintained food safety at every steps.
Really excellent food and service is incredibly helpful. Couldn't find a dish I'd loved online (the mango chicken - recommend!) and the staff were very happy to arrange for it over the phone.
This is take away only but YUMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Delicious
Served in recyclable card round containers, the kitchen looks organised and clean in full view
Lovely staff
Was so yummy
Good takeaway Indian food, a bit flat from taste, but very clean.
My favourite Indian takeaway for many years - superb quality food, really tasty. I've ordered for parties and all my guests loved it too. Always fresh ingredients and spices, never too much fat, very balanced. Great portion size too.
great customer service and the tastiest most authentic Indian food in the area! my go to ♥️
Amazing food. Try the salmon curry. Not our local but we drive 15mins to collect every week. Fresh ingredients always and outstanding customer service. Very friendly!
We have been ordering food from Tiffin Tin for a few years now Absolutely delicious Indian takeaway food. Every dish a winner. Freshly prepared to a very high standard and really enjoyable. Service is first rate and they deliver on time. Highly recommend.
The best Indian takeaway ever.
In fact better then most non takeaway Indian restaurants.
I like going to pick the food up myself rather than having it delivered because I enjoy watching the guys cooking. And everything is scrupously clean.
All the people serving and taking orders on the phone are so friendly and efficient
The food is of a very high quality; hence the price. But you can't get anything cheap and good these days, at least not in London. So, don't complain about the price.
The only reason I've given 4 stars instead of 5 is because they use mutton and not lamb in their Badami Pasanda. This is what 99% of standard Indian restaurants do, but as this place is several notches up from the average, I was hoping for lamb and not mutton. For those younger people who don't know the difference. Mutton is old sheep and is much tougher than lamb, which is tender and easy to cut, and really better quality.
So owners, any chance of using proper lamb?
If not, I will stick to your delicious chicken dishes and fabulous vegetable sides.
Also onion pakoras are marvellous, even cold the next day for breakfast. Why not?
Great place, highly recommended
Best Indian restaurant for the price. It is good, simple and efficient. Always quick (I live super close so I can Pick it up myself.)
People who said it tastes flat are probably British who think cheddar is the best cheese in the world or fish and chip is a real dish for a Michelin restaurant.
I've been ordering for 10 years (since Autumn2009) and it's amazing how consistently good it is. On many occasions, the food has been absolutely fantastic and a few times I've phoned them up the same evening to ask them to pass on my gratitude to the chefs. I live quite close by, but even so, it's great how it arrives hot every time. What I love are the veg curries, I always get one of those to accompany a main dish (and usually a side or two as well!) My favourite dish is the Goan salmon, when the chefs get that one exactly right, it's absolutely stunning, a delicious dish. Another thing - the attention to detail. In the many times I've ordered the veg curry, not once have they missed out any of the ingredients, whether it be aubergine, cauliflower, or whatever else. That says something about Tiffin Tin's approach. Great food!
