I always knew the chips were amazing, but I couldn’t believe it’s just as tasty via UberEats delivery. Thank you for packaging it really well. It’s a rarity to find a decent fish and chip shop nowadays. Keep it up!
Wapping fish bar was just what I needed after a long a day of travel and being famished. John, the owner was kind and made sure I was taken care of with some of the best fish and chips I’ve had. I really recommend this low key casual spot for some delicious fish and chips at a fair price. I would go back!
Very casual local spot. Serving size was very generous and almost more than I could eat. Definitely a bigger portion than Burroughs markets and the owner was very friendly and fries the fish fresh. Would definitely recommend coming back here!

10/10 all round - come here regularly for wings, which are great. The chips are also excellent, and I've had friends who got fish and/or sausage and they loved them. Fantastic service too, genuinely nice people. Highly recommend coming here!

Visiting from the US - Best fish and chips I have had that I can remember - staff was incredibly friendly. Food ready in less than 10 mins for take away - piping hot - Get the cod - chips - load with Vinegar and salt - > enjoy. 5/5!!
Amongst the best fish (cod) and chips I’ve had anywhere in the UK, and, believe me, I’ve sampled this nation’s favourite food for many, many years throughout the length and breadth of the land. Wonderful, friendly proprietors too. Excellent.
Just landed in London. And we were so hungry. The guys at Wapping came through, even though it was close to closing time, the fish and chips were fresh! We're Canadian so we like tartar sauce, they didn't miss a beat and offered us some packets.
I loved the haddock and my partner loved the cod. Giant portion and we were travelling, had to save it for the next day (cant waste!). We just refried it on the pan and got it crispy again. Still held up.
Make sure you pop by! They're great!!
Ps: battered sausage was also very yummy and we ate that while waiting. They were considerate about how hungry we were and gave us a few chips to munch on too haha
Do yourself a favour and go see bossman for value you can't beat. Don't waste your money getting a pub burger, save your P and try bossmans spicy chicken. Chips are also excellent, and he's got a custom spicy Indian tom sauce. Highly recommend.
Lovely Southern fried chicken and chips. I will have lump of cod next time. Nice owner. Had a good chat with him about fish n chip trade!
Actually pleasently suprised at first visit although passed by on many occasions. Friendly welcome from behind the jump, food was well cooked and tasty. Thought the price was a little steep but I'm thinking of the Wapping I knew as a kid, as it was in the Alf Garnett days.
Excellent food, amazing service and probably the best fish + chips I've ever had - such a solid staple to Wapping! Staff are always super friendly and fun to chat to and the food has never disappointed!

Delicious fish and chips! Cooked while we were waiting, it's crunchy and tender at the same time. The owner is very kind and the shop is open till late. Recomended.
My local fish and chips - it never used to be that great, so I understand the poor reviews, but has really improved over the past few years. It's the first time my partner and I have order the fish and it was delicious. A real post Veganuary treat. Chips were excellent too. You have to wait for the fish to be freshly cooked, so it takes a little time, but the wait is well worth it. I guess you could always call ahead and order. I'll certainly be ordering this again. Fantastic Monday night treat.
