Great atmosphere and view! We had the tasting menu and we were so happy. Food full of taste, portions size were great and to complete thw experience we had a nice view from our table.
I definitely recommend you to go for dinner and then enjoy a cocktail by the terrace.
The environment and the service were great. The lunch set menu is good value for money.
The dishes take a surprising combination of ingredients but all taste very good, a bit too salty for me though.
Amazing gem of a place we had the tasting menu which was fantastic value for money, Chef Elliott explained what things were really delicious and tasty
Good food and great wines. Some outstanding dishes that were of the highest quality ingredients and actually tasted great. No style over substance here. Only some minor points, the sharing steak was on the small side and the side dishes were equally small just not enough for two people and the price tag but all tasted great . The desserts were rather dull and didn't deliver much on flavour. Good wines. Definitely worth a visit.
Outstanding meal and exceptional value every time I visit this restaurant. The food, drinks and atmosphere are all top notch. We enjoyed fantastic set menu that allowed us to taste so many aspects of the overall menu which was great! We had lovely and unique wine pairings provided by the sommelier too. If you’re coming from west I recommend catching the Elizabeth line or fast train from Kings Cross - you can get there very quickly!
Fantastic meal. Every dish was great, and the seafood mains were incredible accompanied with the bisque.
Good attentive service as well. Need to come back during summer to check out the terrace.
Had a wonderful meal here recently. The interior is beautiful, service is friendly and unhurried, and the menu is thoughtfully composed. We also had a birthday in our party which the restaurant took into account.
The only points of improvement would be the cocktails (the ‘Nutcracker’ and ‘One More Time’ were a little underwhelming), and for a little more attention to the vegetable side dishes - the wedge salad was simply two large dressed wedges of lettuce. However these do not detract from a lovely experience overall, and I would not hesitate to both recommend and revisit.
Went to Allegra a month ago. Exceptional. The staff are extremely polite, ready to help with all decisions and questions. I wish there was a 6 star to rate the food because it was absolutely amazing. We had the tasting menu, I couldn’t recommend it enough
We’d certainly heard a lot of good things about Allegra so it was time to finally experience it for ourselves. I am now very delighted to say that after thoroughly enjoying our lunch on sunday we will definitely be making more visits in the future.
The restaurant itself is located on the seventh floor of The Stratford Hotel adjacent to stratford international station. You enter the hotel and make your way round to the lift. Then you just simply press the seven and before you know the doors open and your in the restaurant. We were given a delightfully warm welcome before taking a seat at the bar for an aperitif. This also gave us a chance to have a look around.
The bar is on the right with bar stools and a seating area. The far end turns into counter seating where you can see the chefs in action. Then in an L shape you have the restaurant which has a very spacious and modern look. We then ordered our cocktails the Remember The Name of rye whiskey , cream sherry , raisins and the Clementina featuring mezcal , fino sherry and clementine cordial. They were both an absolute delight.
After our drinks we were escorted to a lovely round table in the corner of the dining area giving us a fabulous view of the entire restaurant. Once settled our waiter Rodrigo who’s service throughout our lunch was impeccable. He first gave us a description of how the menu works. This is designed for sharing that includes snacks , starters , mains sides and desserts but you could also quite easily create you own three course meal as some mains are smaller than others.
We decided to start with a couple of snacks. The Fried Oyster , malt vinegar , sea perslane and yoghurt along with the Pistachio Choux liver parfait , preserved clementine and black garlic. The flavours were amazing leaving us eagerly waiting for what was to follow.
Next it was onto the starters where we ordered the Potato Rosti with whipped cod brandade , pickled onions and seaweed , Crab on Toast with elderflower and shellfish sauce. Lastly was the amazing Duck Neck Sausage with poached egg , sauce ravigote and bitter leaves. We were washing these down with a fantastic light red wine from Greece. The Xinomavro 2020 from the Thymiopoulos Winery was full of strawberry flavours.
Now it was on to the main course. Here we shared the Aged Sirloin of Grass Fed Beef with a bordelaise sauce that was heaven. We accompanied this with side dishes of Crispy Potatoes with pickled onion and wholegrain mustard , Roasted Carrots , harissa , almonds and yoghurt , Purple Sprouting Broccoli with hazelnut butter and toasted yeast. We really were enjoying all the fantastic flavours and each dish was perfectly cooked.
We then needed a little rest before moving to desserts. What was to follow were three delicious treats consisting of the Fig Mille Feuille with epping honey ice cream , the Milk Chocolate , speculoos and fig leaf and also a clever Ricotta Ice Cream with preserved cherry and olive oil.
We finished with a coffee to bring to an end a fabulous dining experience and one that I can’t wait to repeat. I would also like to visit at a different time when their tasting menu is on offer. I highly recommend a visit here as the food was fantastic and matched by excellent friendly service. You can also enjoy a fabulous cocktail at the bar or outside on the terrace while enjoying a great view of the surrounding area.
Thank You all for a fantastic lunch and look forward to seeing you all again soon.
Allegra is worth a trip even if Stratford might be a bit out of your way. We were greeted by super friendly staff which did an amazing job throughout the night. The menu is seasonal and everything we had was bursting with flavours. I can definitely recommend the bread service which was simple yet still stunning as well as the roasted quail. Can’t wait to be back!
Went to the Allegra restaurant in the hotel, for a meal with friends and family. The atmosphere was awesome and the service was top notch, the staff were very friendly and professional, the food was amazing and the wine selection was also very good, it had an extensive list of wine from all over the world. Overall it was a great experience and I also recommend the bar on the first floor of the main entrance.
This is a really nice restaurant, great interior and very friendly and helpful staff.
The food was very well presented, and mostly tasty. I did feel some of it lacked a punch. Perhaps slight lack of seasoning.
The breads and butter were delicious. I really enjoyed the beef tartare, it was great quality beef and some well balanced flavours. The whipped cod with crisps was a tad bland. The chicory dish was very bitter, not enough grapes to balance it out.
I had the lamb which was nice but slightly boring. The potato rosti was delicious, perhaps the most flavoursome dish of the meal.
The desserts were slight underwhelming. The chocolate one was a bit rich and the ice cream didn’t have enough sharpness to cut through. The Apple baba was nice, but perhaps not sweet enough.
Decided to celebrate my birthday 🎉 in one of the best restaurants in London and I would like to say that I had the best time ever. Stunning restaurant with delicious food, friendly staff, beautiful terrace where you can enjoy the view and get lost in a beautiful garden. Thank you very much to the Allegra team to make me feel special. 💥💥💥🎉🥂
We had the tasting menu and paired wines. I would rate the food above its price point. I believe smaller pours but higher quality of wines would elevate and justify this upsell. The service was obviously led with passion, was not quite on point yet, several easily avoidable mistakes were made. Overall we very much enjoyed our evening.
Allegra is a hidden gem restaurant in Stratford.
From the decor, to the staff and the food, all is just exquisite. This is why it remains one of my favourite restaurants in London

So this is the first Michelin star restaurant that I've ever eaten at and I have to say all the hype is Greatly deserved. I was in heaven eating a crown of chicken with pork loin I can't remember the name of the sauce I just know I wanted more. The Brussels sprouts fried with Parmesan crisp was absolutely divine, the carrots with almonds on top amazing was fabulous, cubed potatoes was absolutely delicious, with a very good crunch. Oh and before I forget even though this is something I shouldn't really forget the dessert that I had I can't remember the name but it was absolutely delicious so delicate and full of flavor. The service was excellent really accident I don't have to come back here again You would have to beg me If anything If I wanted to be bougie and I wanted to be taken somewhere This would be one of the places that come first mind.
An interesting place.
Next to Stratford international, with a rooftop and a view. It takes you out of the crowd and makes you relax.
The food is descent with some explorative flavors.
If you are in the area, it’s worth dropping by.
Great place for a lunch, we went there on a Sunday it was not too busy.
However, nice atmosphere with great view, with live music and really good food.
(The only dish that we haven't really liked was the crab that for our opinion was too full of curry flavour so we couldn't really taste the delicate crab)
Service was attentive but not intrusive with a marvelous selection of wines.
We really enjoyed our experience, thank you for the great hospitality to all the Allegra team.
