Food is delicious and freshly made to order. Great service and reasonable prices for the City too. Recommend the Cajun salad with chicken and chorizo.
After having tried all the cafes & prets (inc Maya) in the Aldgate/ Leman area, for my coffee, I finalized this one. The staff are cheerful & nice. Their salads & sandwiches are really good. I am there 5 days a week for my coffee, & at times for lunch - love their wraps - usually the Leman special!
I overheard my colleagues at office discussing about a place nearby which had great salads & after a while I was intruiged to check about this place - learnt later, it was Maya's :). Well - I was already a regular!
It’s been several times since I come in this place. I find quite interesting all the paintings and pictures along the walls, it gives a sober retró athmosphere. The staff is very friendly and nice, once you make your order they will serve it to you directly to table. Prices look very competitive. A classic breakfast, which I definitely suggest for starters, is only 6£. Not bad considering we are just a bit away from tower hill. Also recommended the ‘full English breakfast’ (picture below).

This place could be so much more! The interior is stunning with lots of 50's American memorabilia, you find your eyes wandering all over trying to take it in. But why oh why do they not serve thick American pancakes with crispy Bacon and maple syrup?! I'd be a regular then! As it stands, it ends up being just another greasy spoon. Shame.
Love the food and variety, however I wish they would change the lighting. Been there several times and it takes 10 mins for eyes to adjust when you leave. So bad wife refuses to go there even though she likes the fresh food!
It's a good place for a cheap and cheerful cooked breakfast. It is decorated with 50's Americana art, although it can be noisy because they play music channels on a TV in the background.

A Clean and tidy little cafe with nice decore from old from movies, friendly staff serving tasty freshly cooked meals to your requirements if you wish. Not to mention if there is still a thought of the day written on the board at the front where you pay.
