I had a takeaway were I ordered stir rice and chicken with sweet and sour sauce. Honestly the price to value is really good as the portion is really big and enough. With the packaging it might look small but when you open up everything you will see plenty of food & it can get you full for the whole day. My order was ready in 5 minutes and it was hot fresh and tasty. I advice anyone to try.
I ordered on Monday the 28th of August ( waited for the place to open for a take away ), the service was tremendous, the food was absolute delicious will definitely order again .
Purchased Special House Noodles, Spare Ribs Peking Style, Plain Chow Mein also Sweet and Sour Hong Kong Style , all the dishes were superb .
Above average Chinese takeaway. Friendly front-of-house staff. You can view their kitchen+prep areas from where you wait at the reception - these guys have great teamwork., their two wok chefs are masters of their art! Would love to try their aromatic lamb next time.
We discovered this restaurant by chance, as our local closed down. We are super happy the are super friendly on the phone. Food is amazing and delivery is also great :)
Lovely members of staff from the front too the chefs, the minute we stepped in the reception was very welcoming and saw us straight away even though they were very busy the process was quick and easy and very friendly. It was very clean and members of staff around, very big shoutout to all the staff and delivery drivers always quick and never no hassle to change anything !
They home deliver in the local area, have great variety on the menu and they are happy to make modifications to dishes. Very good quality food, generous quantities and excellent customer service make them stand out.
I called them once and described what I was craving (and couldn’t find on the menu) and bless them, they customised one of their preparations for me. It was delicious and I was charged the same amount as other similar mains.
Surprisingly, when I called several days later to place the same order again, they remembered me and what I had asked for and were happy to prepare my choice of main again. It was equally good as the first time they made it. Definitely my single most favourite restaurant for Chinese food

Loved the food from Golden Place so much we went there 2 days in a row. Yesterday on our first visit we got the prawn toast, Singapore fried rice with shrimp and extra curry powder, Thai pancake rolls and king prawn chow mein. On the second visit we got the prawn toast and Singapore fried rice again and we also got the salt and pepper chips and Singapore fried noodles with shrimp and extra curry powder and the kung po king prawns with chilli.
The prawn toast was the best I have ever had and the Singapore fried rice was delicious and packed full of flavour. The kung po king prawn was also amazing.
The dishes with the king prawns had huge prawns and a minimum of 10 prawns in each dish.
The food is a good portion size and excellent value for money.
We will definitely be back!
Recently moved to London from the other side of the country but really wanted a Chinese take away shortly after moving. Thought I’d try Golden Place as it had the best hygiene score and loads of good reviews on both Google Maps and Just Eat. Ordered again tonight; the food was just as amazing as the time before and the delivery was super quick. Ordered around 5pm on Just Eat and the food was here around 20 minutes later. Both times the delivery drivers have been really friendly.
Not only has Golden Place become my go to Chinese in my new home but has become my favourite ever.
We've ordered takeaway from here a lot over the past couple of years and they never disappoint. Food arrives hot and is tasty. Tonight I had the best king prawn sweet and sour dish and we also had Singapore noodles and pork dumplings. Dishes were generously portioned with lots of prawns. Hope they keep this quality up - we will continue to order from here.
Best Chinese in Wimbledon, affordable and food never disappointments. Only negative is no free prawn crackers despite a £40 spend
Pretty good taste, i would like it more spicy. Special fried rice wasn't as good as I was expecting it. Crispy shredded chicken , BBQ ribs with Thai sauce, and special chow mein were very good.

We have only ever ordered from here since moving to Wimbledon 2 years ago! Such a reliable chinese, always hot, always tasty and the customer service is 10/10 - lady on the phone and delivery drivers are always SO friendly! I don't have a bad word to say... wouldn't ever order from anywhere else!
What can I say, delivered in good time, super hot, friendly driver. Food absolutely amazing!. Lemon Chicken is divine! everything just perfect. This place never disappoints. Well done!
