Went to the Boathouse today with a group of friends for Sunday lunch and the experience from start to finish was absolutely fantastic.
Our drinks were on point, the service was great and the food was to die for.
We had a three course meal and everything that we had was the quality of a five star restaurant. Would definitely recommend visiting and indulging in the great menu.

We had a fabulous lunch here overlooking the river. The service was faultless and the 3course set lunchtime menu was both generous and delicious. We weren't put under any pressure to leave and thought the overall bill was reasonable. We thought the place was superb and would highly recommend it.
My son's wedding reception was held here on 10th June 2017. hard to find anything to be critical off. Loved the whole place, its staff , its location, its service, food and drinks, it seemed nothing was too much trouble.
highly recommended.
Brunch on the Sunday was good too. best of all it was still sunny!
Great food, lovely spot, friendly staff, great atmosphere, live music events are always worth a look too

I was first customer on Saturday morning so had the place to myself which was lovely, sun was shining and I sat upstairs on the balcony, the two sweet waitresses couldn't do enough for me , food was excellent will definitely be back 👍
I was there for the New Years Eve party great place great location the the chicken burger was amazing and the staff was so friendly

Held my Sons 18th celebration here. Food was fantastic,the service was above and beyond in every aspect. I believe the server was Marti, who helped everything go off superbly including bringing out the birthday cake etc.
Would book a table or event here without hesitation!
We were attending Fulham v Millwall. We were told this was an away pub . Landlord made us feel welcome ( a first for our fans ) . We also went back there after and again alll staff very hospitable. Lovely relaxed atmosphere.
They have finally lowered the prices...great position. .right on the river and a fantastic view ..would I come back. Of course . I have been coming here for twenty years. Enough said. Bye.
A first time visit and wont be a last great atmosphere.. Friendly staff,food and good selection of drinks.

The Boathouse is a Putney institution. It has been here for many years offering traditional pub grub downstairs and a slightly more refined restaurant upstairs.
The main attraction to this place from my perspective is the panoramic view of the Thames from both the ground floor and the upstairs area. This I think draws people to the pub as well as the bright and spacious atmosphere that they curated.
It is a brewery pub so you can expect the usual options on draft and bottled beer, cider and other drinks available in the cold fridges.
The food is also very traditional pub focused and resist the Temptations to Deyle open arch as a Gastro pub. You can of course get the usual fish and chips, burgers, Scott shags and whatever you might expect from a Southwest London pub. To memory it is also dog friendly which is handy for people living in the Putney area.
For larger groups I would recommend making a reservation especially as we hurtled towards the Christmas parties time of year.
A modern bar with river views, right by Putney Bridge. Great for after work drinks of a few glasses of wine with friends but it's a little pricey so I wouldn't spend the whole night there. It gets packed in summer with its outdoor seating area in such an enviable location.
There's a cosy mezzanine area, which is great for parties or larger groups, especially in the colder months when you want to stay indoors! There's also a restaurant on the top level but I've not been so can only comment on the bar menu.
Their bar food is more upmarket than most; it's heavily seafood based so a little pricier than most places in the area. There is not much in the way of veggie options so call ahead to check they can accommodate.
A colleague had a leaving do there where they offered a separate party menu, with finger food and platters. We had mixed mini pies (we had to request veggie pies on a separate plate!), mezze platters with hummus, and home-made chips which were all delicious!
It is definitely worth visiting The Boathouse in summer. The upstairs balcony provides beautiful views over the Thames and whilst I found the food to be nothing hugely special, it was fairly well priced and a qualm-free evening. We went there early for a few riverside drinks before dinner too, which I would also recommend doing.
Boathouse Riverside restaurant. Been here a couple of times recently for lunch after a friend said that it was much improved - food, service, and decor - I do agree!
Lovely pub, with good food.
We had a Sunday Roast and Bangers and Mash, the food was quite tasty overall. Starters: delicious sourdough bread with butter and anchovies.
The doc is great and the fire place makes it very cosy and welcoming. There is an outdoor sitting area.
The pub has loads of natural light and offer views to the river Thames throughout.
Great place overall.
Went for a Sunday roast. Got the beef roast which was a large plate but mostly filled with vegetables than the meat itself. Great view and nice staff.

Lovely attentive service from all the team. Very detailed around allergy requirements. The team made us feel at ease, it was a very special occasion for me and my family and it turned out to be a perfect choice as we felt everything was taken care of and the food was delicious. Thank you to all the team and apologies for not asking the name of the very kind person that led the service for us. I regret not asking the name (blond woman with a lovely smile) but I could tell that everyone was working quite well together and making sure our experience was perfect.
Enjoyed seafood papadelle, risotto and fish cake with friends. Good atmosphere to mark the end of a fantastic Coronation Day on the Mall. Fab location, food and service. Thankyou.
Would highly recommend. What a find! Lovely venue, right on the river, amazing food & great service. I met with a work colleague on a sunny day and was greeted by 2 great bar staff. The food was excellent (I would recommend the sausage roll & plant burger to every one (unusual combination, I know!)) and the service and pricing were great - especially given the location
We stopped by for a Sunday roast and it was delicious!! My adult daughter is Autistic and we requested a specific table which was accommodated without any fuss at all! The staff were professional, polite, attentive and so friendly and the atmosphere was brilliant! The upstairs terrace has a gorgeous view of the river! We often stop by for drinks and are never disappointed!
The food here was delicious - we really enjoyed our Sunday lunch. Very fresh and light. Service was exceptional with our little 4 year old being treated like a queen. The setting is also amazing - such beautiful! Overall, a lovely Sunday afternoon treat for the family :)
Very relaxing area. Staff are friendly even the dog!😍 I started loving the fish & chips this way😂 Oh Guinness!👍🏻 Oh Aperol Spritz! Cocktail a bit pricey but you can live without it though🤣

My wife and I had just returned from our honeymoon and, to be frank, we were a little bit depressed at the thought of returning to work. So on the Saturday we went to the Boathouse for a few drinks and a bite to eat to soften the blow. What an amazing place! Absolutely amazing food, polite and friendly staff in a great location. Perfect for families and friends alike. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Spent a few hours watching the world go by and enjoying the afternoon with friends. The outdoor space is comfortable and a great place to chill out
We went for dinner on friday the 7th of July.We had booked inside as specified in the website but they gave us a table on the balcony overlooking the river, which was lovely. The staff was welcoming and professional. The place had a lovely young atmosphere and the food was yummy. Thank you very much for all the above. We will be coming back.
Had the fish and chips. Hard to go wrong with a classic. Very generous peice of fish and plenty of chips. We had a gluten sensitive person with us and they had a gluten free rye bread available. I hear the gluten free rye bread burger is great for those with gluten allergies.
The service was spot on. Several beers were out but the staff were apologetic and provided several recommendations as worthy replacements.
