Doesn't look much from the outside, but has a buzzy atmosphere and cosy feel. Good selection of hot and cold dishes, food came out quickly, was very fresh and nicely presented.

Just by a pure chance, I came in after a visit to Chelsea Hospital. The experience was like stepping into someone home in Japan. I was not sure what to have at firat, so I decided to go for their Bento box with Slated Salmon and all the condiments. The choice was obvious, and the foods speak for themselves.
The salmon was fresh, simple but mighty. In my opinion, not all can prepare Japanese rice perfectly, however, that is not the case here at this little family run restaurant.
Miso soup was also quite delicious. I am a good real broth fan. And their Chicken romen tastes sooooooo good; a perfect balance between the soup and everything in a very big bowl.
The only thing missing from this small restaurant in Chelsea is people. If we need to support the small local business, this place would be the best to start.
FYI - A table next to me were having the large bentos, and their foods look like it come out from a Japanese food magazine.
I will definitely come back.

I came back the next day. Their premium Bento with Shashimi and Maki was beyond words. The two days experience makes me feel really blessed after a long day at work.
Yumenoki must accept my most appreciation for such remarkable experiences in the past two days.
Very simple place with cheap interior. In one of the reviews a few years ago, someone complained about the music, since then nothing seems to have changed. Music plays from a TV, which is watched by the owners or employees of the establishment. I’m not sure that they needed to be in the common room, but they didn’t bother us, and on the contrary, they created some kind of homely comfort. The food is very tasty. The prices are different from those in the photos on Google, they have risen a little, but still remain small compared to restaurants in Chelsea.

Authentic. Delicious. Very fresh food. Proper Japanese food with great service. Very clean as well. Great ambience. Must order the brown rice tea and the soup udon!
Lovely little place with authentic food and kind owners. Discovered it by chance on an evening walk around the area. Had lunch there the following two days and loved it. Hope to go back there for more one day!
Best Japanese restaurant by far. Staff are friendly, the place is beautifully decorated. And the food is delicious so tasty and fresh. A must try!!

Ordered a chicken katsu bento box, the chicken was super moist and the dressing might just make this the best katsu I've ever had! My boyfriend ordered another bento box (nigiri) and they each came with sides tailored to the other food in the set. The staff treated us with care and attention - if you are reading this, thank you! I highly recommend this restaurant and will be coming back!
This place is very good since it offers you a good food, service and atmosphere. I recommend coming here early because there is a thing called bento which is like a meal deal.
