Extremely satisfied with my recent trip to the The Great Southern we and my partner ordered a chicken burger along with the dirty fries. A good burger is hard to come by these days but the bun was lightly toasted and the patty was well seasoned and crispy. A good amount of topping and sauce. Dirty fries were nice and not over powered by the topping which many places tend to do. We also ordered a sticky toffee pudding and apple and blackcurrant crumble which were both excellent. I would recommend the sticky toffee out of the two. Will definitely be coming back !
I think it's a great pub in general. Both in winter and summer thanks to the garden. A good atmosphere, family friendly, a good place also.under Christmas. Nothing to do with the previous pub at the same site. I usually go with my daughter on Friday afternoons as she is home . from nursery and she loves it. Only thing to improve is the menu in my opinion, which is not bad, but had it better options it would be great. But still it's good to have it in the area.
We’re local and have been meaning to come for lunch for a while. Today we did and we’re SO glad we did!! Super friendly guy on the phone to book with, lovely refurb inside, great mix of people (locals, footy fans and families) and very good food. We both had the roast and the toddler had a roast too! Great value. We’ll definitely be back!!
Friendly helpful staff, great beer (including gluten free) , wonderful food including the best roast dinners. Children friendly.

Lovely pub with an outdoor terrace and good vegetarian food. Everything was amazing except the pitta bread which could be better. The vegan roast is highly recommended.
This is a great pub located next to gipsy hill station. It's also at the bottom of the hill, so if you need some energy for the ascent into crystal palace a pint and food here is perfect.
The staff are amazing, it's a clean and comfortable pub with plenty of outside seating. The menu is small but I've never had a bad meal. It's pub grub but I would say consistent and the roast is great.
They also have a happy hour which in these expensive times is very unusual and very welcome!
Popped in with my partner and daughter this afternoon. The service was great from the start, the barmaid was so attentive of our daughter and made sure she was entertained.
The food was top notch, and a great selection of beers. We will definitely be back!!
Really good service, the manager is so lovely, food was nice (although I wasn't hot on the wings as they were a bit fatty). Portions were a good size too. Had to order online but the system to do this is extremely long winded. All in all though had a good experience. The burger was to die for! I'd recommend that every time.
The second we walked in we got a warm welcome, burger was 10/10. Very clean toilets .Definitely would bring Mrs B here 😁
