We invited some friends from the US to meet us here. It's a nice location, in the heart of the west end, and a nice place to walk into. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and taken to our guests, who'd arrived shortly before us, before being shown to our table. The food was lovely, but the crumble, that two of us chose from the prix fixé lunch menu when we ordered our starters and mains, wasn't available by the time we were ready for pudding 😞
Oddly, the waiting staff leaned over us to pass glasses, plates of food and cutlery to our guests, rather than walking around the table!
The afternoon tea here is quite nice but nothing remarkable. I liked the sandwiches, the ham was especially nice. The sweets were tasty, but too sweet. None of us anywhere near finished them. They didn't have 2 of the teas when we went (and didnt inform us of this before ordering), which seemed like an issue to me with not a massive selection. The decor was quite nice and the seating was very comfortable
Was in London on a city break and found this spot on tripadvisor. Service was excellent. Got the surf & turf with sweet potato fries. Great atmosphere, good selection of drinks. Would return.
We had a good experience here. Food was decent, nothing spectacular at least price point wasn’t mad. Service was standard. There was a live singer playing the piano. The interior decor feels a bit kooky with strange steps and corners but fun!would come back.
We had a lovely brunch here and some excellent cocktails (Can’t go wrong with a espresso martini). We were very well looked after by the whole crew who went above and beyond to make the experience special. Thank you

The food, atmosphere and service was excellent, I'm going to repeat.
We went there to have afternoon tea. To our surprise there was live music, what a great performance.
The waiters and waitresses were friendly and attentive.
The restaurant is decorated in an Art Deco style, which I liked a lot.
I absolutely recommend giving it a try!
From the moment you enter Browns the staff are nothing but attentive. We were looked after by Leo on Saturday 28th October for a mid morning breakfast. Not only was he accommodating in allowing us to move to a more preferable seat in the restaurant, but he was also conscientious, warm, polite and friendly throughout our visit. He didn’t even need a notepad to remember the changes to our traditional breakfast order!
We paid with birthday vouchers, which he too took before even asking for the bill and then offered a complimentary hot drink to enjoy whilst our breakfast went down.
If anything it was a little noisy, but this is understandable given our 2nd visit was on a Saturday in half term.
Leo and his service with a smile is one of many reasons whilst we will continue to return to Browns when we visit London.
Was in a group of 8 people for a birthday lunch in a bank holiday Sunday. Service was pleasant but a little slow and inconsistent. They forgot one starter and a main and had to rush it out. A few minor annoyances; roast pork was served with horseradish, when we highlighted this apparently they had run out of apple sauce. Also they said they had run out of nearly every beer on tap. The overall atmosphere was nice with pianist singing and playing.
Amir and Matteo treated us so well. Highly recommend he smoked pancceta and the lobster benedict, perfectly cooked, runny yolk and salt and sweet combination on point
The venue and food were amazing and our servers Samuel and Amir were absolutely lovely. They were very attentive and the food came quickly. Highly recommend Browns in Covent Garden.
The atmosphere was beautiful, very elegant. Even the bathroom was beautiful! We had quite a wait, but the tea we ordered was worth it. I am gluten free, and the food was delicious with lots of variety of sandwiches and desserts for my tea. My only complaint, if I'd call it one, is that I would have liked 2 gluten free scones, instead of one. (I could never have enough of a good scone.) No powdery weird after taste like so many gluten free baked goods.
Had breakfast here. Service was excellent, breakfast menu was ideal lots of options. Really good coffee.
Highly recommend Browns and will definitely consider other Branches in future travel plans. Exceeded expectations.
Loved it. Went to Brown's in Nottingham a few weeks ago, so decided to try this one. Absolutely gorgeous food and very attentive staff. Matteo looked after my friend and I. After we had eaten, we asked if we could move to one of the banquette areas and they were happy to let us finish our drinks in our own time. Would really recommend this restaurant. I will definitely be going again. You will need to book as it does get very busy.
I love my local brown in East Sussex and so was only right to visit one whilst in London! As expected lovely as always! We visited on a Saturday night and it was very busy but staff were very accommodating still and really friendly! They continued to have a smile on their faces and make guests feel comfortable and welcomed. Even though the restaurant was full we didn’t wait long for service - drinks and food. Food came out piping hot and fresh. 100% visiting back again!
Nice atmosphere. Scallops were wonderful. Starter salad of fresh mozzarella and mix of fresh / sun dried tomatoes not wonderful / oddest tasting tapenade ever. The blackberry bramble (cocktail) with rhubarb tasted only of cassis — skip it. Chicken pie with leeks - chicken flavorful, pastry cracklingly shatteringly fantastic. Flavorful. Too much leek though, but I wouldn’t skip it for that reason. The pastry more than made up for it.
