Lovely little place in Leyton Stone. The food was good. As a moroccan, the couscous was steamed to perfection. The sauce needed a bit more seasoning. This might be my personal preference as i compare it to what i cook and used to , but the meat was cooked to perfection, and the vegetables were aldente just as i love it . The meze plater was great to start with. Overall, I had a lovely experience. I will be back for some moroccan tea and sweets 😋 . But if you are in the area, do try it out.
This place is elegant with a great atmosphere. The service here is incredible and you can tell that customer satisfaction is their first priority. The food is exceptional, very tasty and nicely presented. Finally, their baklava is quite tasty, one of the best I tried.
Authentic Moroccan Halal food: I tried mix grill and mint tea. The lamb was tender, the chicken was juicy but the best item was Merguez, Moroccan spicy sausage. The place was decorated with Moroccan arts and a very nice place to take photos. The service was very quick.
Nice authentic food. Great customer service, good price, good food. Loved the mint tea 🍵
Absolutely lovely place which has THE BEST mint tea I’ve ever had. Genuine article and I would return in the evenings for that alone if I lived closer.
Food was gorgeous, chicken and lamb were so tender and some amazing cheesecake for £2.80 and it was much bigger than a lot of places. Definitely will return!
Absolutely delicious food 😋 and Fantastic service from the staff.
Went with my family news years eve , had a reservation just in case the tables were taken.
I have been before so wanted to take the family as its right up our street the type of food we love to eat.
It's beautifully decorated, warm and inviting.
Enough space wasn't congested.
Food was divine and highly recommended.
We had the hot and cold mezze , family grill and kofta tagine. With Moroccan mint tea and complimentary dessert ( the name I don't remember) but it wasn't overly sweet and it complimented the all of the food great way to end the meal.
Will visiting again with friends
We always loved the atmosphere and the excellent traditional Marrakech food served here. We had two different tagine dishes with mint tea. My lamb tagine was excellent! At the end of the meal we were given on the house a "Recho Freta" to share. It's a deep fried desert made with milk. We loved it! It was very light! Beautiful traditional light fittings made with dried gaud are really pretty!
A great find! We were passing and decided to look in. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. Great food and super value. We will definitely be going back.
"We had an absolute blast at Marrakech Delight with our party of seven! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The service was top-notch, making us feel like VIPs from start to finish. But the real star of the show? The Lamb Tagine – it's an absolute must-try that left all of us in culinary ecstasy! And oh, don't even get us started on the mint tea – it's a delightful, refreshing sip of paradise. 🍖🍵 If you're looking for a five-star experience, you've found it at Marrakech Delight. Go ahead, treat yourself!"
This place was absolutely lovely. We were visiting family and this place was close enough to visit as I wanted some authentic food from a tagine. It was about two minute walk from the bus station. Upon arrival we noticed how bright and lively the decor was. We walked in and had the option to sit where we wanted, so we took a seat in the back to avoid feeling any cold air from outside as customers left. We ended up sitting next to the restrooms, luckily they were fairly clean although there was no napkins in the women’s room. The waiter gave us time and asked us what we’d like to drink, we decided on tea, I asked for unsweetened and regretted it, but it was still nice, we added sugar and fixed it right up. After a while he came back and asked what we would like to order. We started with an appetizer, the Marrakech traditional mezzo. It was beautiful! Olives, hummus, yogurt mint dip, a fajita tasting veggie dip, another one I don’t remember but it was fantastic, sausages(veggie, and a lamb), falafel, and loads of warm pita. We dug in and probably could have had that for a meal alone. But we decided to pig out and enjoyed ourselves. After a while the waiter came back and asked what we wanted to order. I ordered the chicken and olive tagine with bread and my other half ordered a fish tagine with couscous. They arrive quickly and pipping hot! It was beautiful, I’d never had a tagine before and the presentation was cool. He only lifted the lids for us but it was fun!
I don’t know what sauce was on that chicken but it was fantastic! I could eat a bowl of the sauce and olives with the bread anytime. The chicken was great also, very tender, fell right off the bone! The fish fish was very pretty but it wasn’t as good as the chicken, well to me at least. Needless to say I finished it with a smile. We were probably at the restaurant for a hour and a half. They stayed busy but not overly busy, some people ordered take away.
They offered dessert too but we were stuffed so we got the check and went onto our next adventure. The price was fair also. Pretty much what we’d pay at home for a meal like that. We’ll be back on our next trip to the UK. It’s locked into my google maps!
The food was amazing! Make sure to try out the lamb tagine and the mixed grill. So full of flavor, and cooked just right. We were so full, but we couldn't resist some tea and baklava, and it was all worth it.
Fantastic customer service as well.
Marrakech Delight should definitely be recommended to everyone.
Excellent staff and food, prices are also very reasonable and portions big. I go there regularly and they have never disappointed
Lovely restaurant with nice ambience. The meatball tagine and morrocan tea is excellent here. Loved it
Another big celebration I decide to invite my guests to this restaurant and I must say I think better could not be . Everyone was happy with food, impressed with decoration and most important recommendation .
I have done another big celebration and all was prepared and ready . That wasn’t my last there for sure.
The staff is courteous and welcoming. The décors is fabulous as you enter Marrakech delights, give you a sense of welcoming and feelings of being in a Morrocan restaurant. The food 🍲 was delicious and freshly cooked. The portion served is decent and at an affordable price. If you cannot finish your meal you are offered to take it as takeaway.
We were in a party of 14 and we all enjoyed the evening there. Bearing in mind there is no alcohol on sale or entertainment, but just friends and family 👪 chat. No shisha either. Soda drinks are served in can with a straw. Fresh pressed juice are available and served in glasses . The coffee ☕ was great. We were even offered free Morrocan desserts 🍰 which were delicious accompanied by a teapot of mint tea offered by the house 🏡.
As for parking, there are quite a few just outside the restaurant but mostly disabled ♿ Bay. Tesco and Matalan car parks are only a stone throw away. I would surely recommend it for family 👪, groups or even dining alone. I did not notice any WiFi connection. It seems customers also use Marrakech delights as take away.
The owner is full of warmth and thoughtful of his guests. He is always around ready to hear all types of experiences from you and the rest of the guests. As for the brilliant atmosphere, delicious food and table service, I highly recommend the Marrakech Delights, and intend to visit in the near future.
This is a nice locally owned Moroccan cafe in Leytonstone. The decor is very traditional and original. The staff are polite and helpful. The mint tea is always my go-to without sugar with some halloumi, pita bread and Moroccan olives. Also try the mix of Moroccan cakes. The vibe is great, it’s next door to the station, you also get a selection of traditional Moroccan dishes if you fancy proper dinner. The only one thing I wasn’t happy about was that their contactless machine wasn’t working and I had forgotten my pin. Luckily my friend bailed me out.
A little gem close to Leytonstone Tube station. When you enter Marrakech Delight its almost as if you have been transported to Morocco. Friendly, welcoming staff, great ambience and decor coupled with tasty food. A great place to hideaway and relax alone or with friends!
Had a late night dinner before closing and still staff were very accommodating and helpful... The food was delicious especially the mergez... Brought back memories from our Morocco trip few years ago... The ambience is quite chilled and as expected the main attraction were the beautiful traditional lighting... We enjoyed the food very much and thank you to the young gentlemen for recommendations on places to visit in Morocco 🇲🇦
Been already twice for lunch and each time the food was fresh and delicious. Staff friendly and polite. I love the tagines, really good! I will be going back again.
