Really lovely and cute cafe/workspace. Chill music, nice atmosphere. If you come here to work, take headphones as you will be surrounded by cafe sounds and people chatting :-) had smashed avo on toast and a flat white, yummy!
My local to home Saturday go to! Great coffee, unbelievably good cakes, the portion size of the avocado on sourdough is unreal value for money (I’ve often ended up eating half and taking half home) and most importantly the staff are always on point! Love the little £1 easy tip point (which the staff more than deserve) too!
I used to live above this cafe when i was still studying at uni. Owners are very friendly, coffee and sandwiches are great! ☕️ I used to come here all the time to study, it's a great concept! In my opinion, one of the best cafes in South London to get some work done. I no longer live in Brixton but still visit whenever I am in the area. Can't recommend it enough 😋
Absolutely obsessed with this place. Team are exceptional, coffee is incredible (my day job is floating around coffee shops and this one is up there at the top), and the toasties are INSANE.
Only bad part of this space is it's not closer to me, but I always make the trip over when in the area, it's a must.
Big fan of cafes that offer a dedicated workspace too. Means you can grab a shorter term coffee in their main spot but you also can make full use of the space round the back if you're looking for the long haul, and for a very competitive price compared to other working space.
Half of me doesn't want to write this as I want this hidden gem to be mine - but ya'll need to know about it.
Such an amazing cafe in Brixton! Everyone that works here is super lovely and make the best coffee around. Also the cakes are so good! The whole team do such an amazing job, they support the local community and do the hospitality industry proud! Keep up all the amazing work you guys do x
Fabulous cafe with additional pay by the hour co-working space. Wonderful coffee, food and smoothies. Staff are delightful. They also sell juice made locally from wonky fruit ensuring less goodness goes to landfill. Loved it!
CAYA not only serves the best coffee in South London, but the atmosphere is fantastic and away from the noise and chaos of Brixton Central, whilst still being a short walk away.
A great spot to recharge, with lots of food options and drinks! The staff are all lovely and will always welcome you with open arms.
It's also a great place to work if you need to get out of the house! For only £9 you get a desk for half the day which includes unlimited coffee (caffeine addicts, unite! )
It's a shame I moved out of Brixton because this was my regular spot and I genuinely miss it ❤
This place is a real gem on the Brixton map - drinks and food are delicious, the dedicated coworking zone is an amazing and affordable solution which comes with more than just the access to power sockets. Unlimited specialty coffee, quiet and comfortable space and super chill & friendly vibes - I doubt one can ask for more. Well done, guys, keep it up <3!
A lovely cafe for working - spent a fair few days here when I was having trouble with my own WiFi. It’s affordable daily with free tea and coffee, especially with the “pay as you go” set up which was flexible and convenient if you don’t want to tie into a permanent or regular coworking space .
The only thing that would make it would be better would be some slightly comfier chairs!
Good food and the best toastie we’ve found in SW so far. The service was a little off when we went (in my opinion- though there was a heatwave!) but otherwise good. Nice vibe not too pretentious but not run-down either.
Randomly popped in ahead of my hair appointment next door as was starving. I had the granola with yogurt and fruit and OMG, literally the best I've ever had!! Turns out it's homemade. I'm planning to go back just to to make my mouth happy again. Sunshine in a bowl....and it was very filling. Great service. 👍🏽
5 stars across the board! My fav local coffee shop that’s serving delicious coffee and tea (including my fav matcha) and a great selection of breakfast/lunch snacks. The space is very welcoming, staff always very sweet and I love visiting especially when feeling a bit down…they have the magical pick me up effect on me :))
My favourite place to get coffee in London. The banana bread is also to die for! Friendly and efficient staff. Good music selection which offers some background noise without being overbearing. Independent business owned by two super hard working ladies, so still like to go back and support even though I have moved to Streatham.
Amazing coffee shop, with amazing atmosphere! If you need a coffee, cake, sandwich, salad or even just a chat! They are always amazing and would say they are the best coffee shop in Brixton! Love Caya!
London Coffee Shop for Digital Nomads-2 CAYA
Randomly, I went to try this co-working coffee shop near Brixton station. And it is a good choice for people living in Brixton. Here I attach my review report for your reference.
Category: Artisanal Independent
Wifi: Reliable and fast, free to use
Seating: Two separate areas, a cafe zone at the front with sofa and 3 tables, and a workspace at the back with 2 long tables and 3 small tables, 28 electrical outlets, and a small sofa space divided by a folding screen.
Toilets: 1 for unisex
Cost: They provide sandwiches ( £3.8-£5) and baked goods, and the coffee (£2-£2.6)
The price of using the workspace is £2 per hour, £15 per day and £180 per month with bottomless coffee or tea, quite reasonable, isn’t it?
Ambiance: no loud rock or pop music and the smell of food to distract your attention. And people in the workspace are quiet and focus on their staff.
Surroundings: Brixton, located in the South London, is 30mins far away from the central London by metro, but it is a lively, multicultural area with Afro-Caribbean style. In the centre, there are banks and brand shops, cinema, shopping mall. And in Brixton market, they have diverse street foods, grocery and vintage booths, and lots of Caribbean or South American restaurants.
Something special about the cafe:
(1) They provide printer in the workspace, which you only need to spend 20p each page. It is much cheaper than that in a printing shop (normally they charge minimum £5).
(2) You rent space in the back by the hour (£2 per hour) or the day (£15 per day) with bottomless coffee or tea)
Address: 344 Coldharbour Lane, London, SW9 8QH (7mins walk from Brixton underground station)
Opening Times:
Mon-Fri 7.30am-5.30pm
Sat-Sun 8.30am-5pm
Peak Time: 10am-12pm
It is away from the centre of Brixton (not in the central London), so it is not that crowdy and normally there are enough vacancies.
Generally, it suits digital nomads living nearby and is value-for-money, particularly you like Caribbean style. However, if you live in other areas of London, it may be not convenient to access.
Amazing cafe with coworkers space at the back! £9 for half a day whuch I definitely got ROI on with the free coffees ;) gorgeous chill space x
Friendly staff, good atmosphere, delicious food and drink - went during the week and most of the space seemed to be reserved for people working remotely, and so we had to wait for a table but was worth it!
Great coffee and top quality produce on offer. Love the atmosphere and the most reasonably priced coffee in London! Love it!
My lovely local cafe! Always so welcoming and delicious coffee/cakes - recommend to anyone in the area!
