Visited with a friend after a workshop in Shoreditch, and happily discovered this neat little Caribbean hole in the wall! The grilled lobster tail and tiger prawn was great, and I like the inventive plating and presentation. They didn’t have the starters I wanted, but the food overall was of good quality and the flavours were thought through. Worth a visit for sure!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pineapple Xpress, and I can't say enough about the delightful experience. My wife and I decided to go there for a special date night, and it turned out to be the perfect choice.
We ordered the Jerk Chicken Aloha meal with Jollof rice, seasoned with coriander and spring onion, and it was an explosion of flavors. The dish was beautifully presented inside a grilled pineapple, which added a unique and tropical twist to the meal. The jerk chicken had the right amount of spiciness, and the Jollof rice was incredibly flavorful.
What really stood out, aside from the food, was the attentive service. They made sure to accommodate my pregnant wife's needs and preferences, which we truly appreciated. The staff went above and beyond to make our evening memorable.
The ambiance at Pineapple Xpress is top-notch. The music selection, a blend of amapiano, R&B, and Hip Hop, created a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. It perfectly complemented the tropical vibes of the restaurant.
And let's not forget about Chef Matthew. It's clear that he loves what he does. The food was prepared with a lot of care and attention to detail. You can taste the love in every bite.
Bubz was really welcoming and accommodating! Food was amazing and cake out in good time! Atmosphere was great! I will 100% be coming back here!
We booked the rooftop for my birthday just to have a private space with a few friends. Matthew was a fantastic host and provided great tunes and drinks in the heatwave. Was a vibe! Food is also outstanding, we loved the prawns.
If you're trying to find vegan food in the area come and try their mushroom rice bowl! The jollof rice is super filling and flavourful, the crispy fried mushrooms are a godsend. Definitely my new lunch spot! Some tables inside for eating in, and the presentation is instagram gold. The guy serving me today was lovely (sorry forgot to get your name!) Nice small business to support ❤️
Chanced upon this place by luck. Lovely chicken wings drizzled with their speciality Aloha sauce (Sweet and slightly spicy/sour). Give this place a try!
food was bomb, flavours were great. i order a few starters and the main was the big mermaid. it had a good kick and loads of seasoning. the owner was lovely also, always checking that we were good and was enjoying. only thing i’d say is the group dining next to us we’re a bit loud at times, to the point i couldn’t hear my friend opposite me. other than that great vibes and the cocktails were strong but sweet. will defo come here again 💫
amazing food not overpriced friendly staff great place 10/10 good people. Perfect little terrace upstairs to rent for little surprise parties and stuff you cannot go wrong here 👍🏻
This has to be one of the best meals EVER! Firstly the staff were friendly and so helpful but the food and cocktails stole the show! My husband had the lamb and my sister and I had the jerk chicken! So AMAZING. 5 stars is not enough 10/10! Definitely going back!

1000000/10!!!! I have never been out to eat and everything on the menu is delicious! We had a table for 5 and ordered a variety of starters and mains including the prawn bao buns, plantain, prawns, jerk chicken loaded fries, jerk chicken wings and lamb chops and absolutely everything was DELICIOUS!!! The cocktails were fantastic, and the venue and customer service were both amazing! The rooftop was such good vibes and the owner Matthew is so lovely, will 10000000% be returning! - thank you!!!
