So after pondering around Carnaby street and feeling like it was about time for lunch. I threw a left into Poland Street, where the usual orange YO! cube caught my eye.
I've been to pretty much all of the Yo!'s in London now, and as most people know.. They are very hit & miss depending on the store.
After entering I was greeted by a really great team of staff which got me sat and in no time had a green tea in my hands,
The shop fit in this particular store is really well set out and your eyes are constantly wondering around the room finding new points of interest
The usual chicken Katsu curry was ordered and my word it was great. Tons of sauce, the chicken was perfectly cooked and overall was incredibly moreish! Exactly what you want from a quick drop in lunch that will keep you happy until dinner time.
Fair play Yo! Poland st. Recommended.
The belt is back... pick off your plate and pay, or order with your phone or in person. Food is as you would expect, freshly prepared and cooked. You cannot book ahead, but we didn't have to wait long. Yo is a family favourite.
My first time eating at the Selfridges branch and will definitely not be my last. The servers were so nice and seated me immediately. I visited on my lunch break to take advantage of the buy one get one free katsu curry deal running for national curry week and I was not disappointed. My prawn katsu and pumpkin katsu were so delicious and came out from the kitchen swiftly as well.
Service was excellent, food variety wasn't that great. The exact same type of selection went in circles.
Great for a quick lunch. Has the sushi vibe.
Was seated very quick, placed an order and was ready in around 5 minutes. Its a very casual lunch, i went alone and the seating is laid out for lone dining or small groups.
I think a large group wouldnt work well as you can only really see/talk to people with 2-3 seats.
Some items are way too expensive in my opinion, but location may be a factor.
I took my grand daughters aged 11/8 yrs of age for a sushi treat . We all love the Japanese’ street food and the restaurants .
Yo sushi bar if more attractive as it is in Selfridges which Is on the famous Oxford Street. The Yo bar was buzzing @ lunchtime . We had a 10 minutes wait . The high chairs with the view of the conveyor belt and the staff serving the platters is interesting . The digital ordering was fun for all with contactless payment .
The service was slow but the food was fresh and appealing . As usual everyone enjoyed the fries.
The price reflected was reasonable .
I would definitely visit again and recommend the bar to all especially to the shoppers in Selfridges .
Incredible selection of Asian delights, premium price but dined in a central London location. The app ordering, conveyer belt delivery system and watching the chefs prepare the fresh food make a novel meal experience. Look forward to trying other locations. On the occasion I dined unfortunately the conveyor belt wasn’t used to it’s potential (the chefs handed the food directly to me) which reduced my expectation of the full experience.
Stopped here for a quick and tasty lunch, I love the Yo sushi belt and this place did not disappoint! Sushi was fresh and service was very quick and friendly! Will be returning soon.
Good Food. Try the sushi and It is fresh.
Beef Teriyaki is having larga portion.
Visited the food court of Selfridges. So special experience of having those food corners with different experiences. And there is a nice feeling of going to a market at the same time as you can buy some fresh cheese or ham there. Highly recommend to visit

Yummmmy.
Waited to be seated and unfortunately had one member of staff look at us and walk past and ignore us. Once seated, it was easy and quick to order food. Did have to ask where our drinks that we ordered were after waiting some time for them. Food was lovely and arrived quick. The lady (possibly the boss or head chef) was working so hard constantly putting out food and helping customers who had questions. The only thing that ruined the atmosphere was the constant raised tones of certain staff and an argument between 2 staff members right next to us.
This was my first time visiting Yo! Sushi in Selfridges, the first thing I noticed was the queueing system wasn't very clear, some people queued to the left and some queued to the right, there wasn't a takeaway queue so it was just a bit messy knowing where to go....
Anyway I think the new "delivery" of the food is AWESOME!!! You have a red bar in front of you and it turns yellow when it's on the way (on the belt) and then it's green when it is in front of you. Very cool!! The only down side to this is that your dish has to go in front of everyone else before it gets to you, which we did keep saying ..I hope no one sneezes on it.... Especially when you can't see it around corners, it would be nice to have the plastic domes on that they used to do just to keep it extra fresh and safe.
You can order to your table through the app which was really easy to do, the menu was a lot smaller than usual, I am not sure if this is because of Covid or just because it's in Selfridges but all of the favourites are still there.
Knocked it down a star for the queueing system and no cover for the food, also what happened to the big sushi bowls?? Upgrading meant getting it in a bowl where you couldn't get to the sauce at the bottom...strange choice!
