Watson's General Telegraph - London - Photo album

A friendly local with plenty of space. Cosy interior and plentiful garden. Menu does the job, head for the generous portion of Parmesan truffle fries :) even better at weekends with bbq specials
Good pub on Forest Hill Road. Classic building retaining Truman's exterior detail and decoration. Previously known as the Forest Hill Tavern. Disappointingly, the pub usually has only one cask beer on handpump these days (there used to be 3 or 4). Very large garden most of it covered by a canopy.
Really lovely pub, with a relaxed atmosphere. We visited for a Sunday roast and really enjoyed the veggie / vegan option. Finn looked after us, and was really attentive with the service. Thank- you, we will be back :)
Food here in the last few months has been consistently really tasty. Burgers are great, and bbq is worth heading over on the weekend for too. Excellent beer garden, this pub is a great local to have.
Becoming a fan of this place. Smiley service. Huge selection of beers coming out of the wall! Burgers are huge and delicious. Plus BBQ themed menu. I had the smoked pork belly, wife had the spicy chicken burger. Large garden looks like a real bonus for the good weather. Recommended.
Love this pub! We use it to catch up before a local festival in Peckham Rye Park every year. Great food, amazing beer garden, wide selection of drinks, good party atmosphere on the weekend evenings too. Wish I lived closer, would go there all the time!
I had my wedding reception at the Watsons this week and it was an amazing experience, the staff went above and beyond to handle our needs from start to finish. Drinks and food were lovely, atmosphere was phenomenal and the new manager Dom is just so dedicated to making the pub the best it can be and
Nice local pub - very spacious , staff were really friendly and helpful. Good selection of drinks and food - the chunky chips were sooooo crispy and fluffy inside and the portion was massive. Pair with the sriracha mayo for chip perfection The menu has a lot of variety - quirky BBQ dishes to delici
Really great beer selection, plus a couple of cans in the fridge. They used to have Gosnel's mead on tap (but now it's just in a can). Their food game is pretty good as well!
We called on a very quiet Sunday evening and it was fine! It's a big barn of a place so we rattled about! The staff were sweet and friendly, choices were many. We didn't eat, so I can't comment on the food.
Great pub! Was served by Kai and liv who were always super friendly / great garden and loads of space for private events! Love hanging out by the fire pit with a bigger group
What a fantastic pub. Great selection of beers on tap and bottles. The decoration is lovely and gives the place a warm comfortable atmosphere. The music is great and the beer garden is charming. Ordered a Mac and cheese and it blew my mind. It's the best mac and cheese I've ever had, and that's com
Lovely pub garden, bbq menu, spacious seats and garden. Would definitely return. My friend had a 🍔 burger which looked delicious.
Friendly atmosphere with staff willing and eager to share knowledge of an extensive range of IPA. Lovely outdoor and indoor spaces. Have docked them a star for not having anything dark either on tap or bottles/cans except the obligatory, "We've got Guinness?" Prices are also a bit too central London
Great place but sadly had no Telegraph history. Loads of beers / ales on tap (15?) but only 1 cider - 2 more in boxes. Limited larger. Great atmosphere and beer garden .
Nice London boozer with a wide range of drinks. Won't comment on food menu, as it is restricted at the moment. Currently you need to book in advance to get a table.
Great pub, great vibe, amazing food. Really enjoyed our evening highly recomend. The burgers were just divine.
Absolutley lovely evening dining and drinking with friends, staff service was amazing. Great atmosphere, friendly and welcoming will deffinalty be coming back!
