A MUST HAVE when in London! Honestly the BEST meal out we’ve had in a long time! - Situated round the back of Covent Garden, this little hidden away restaurant boasts a fabulous menu and attentive staff! This restaurant really is value for money; especially the side dishes they always come in such generous portion sizes!

Had an amazing meal here - definitely go for the chicken Milanese! The interior design of the place is very cool and the service was very quick and helpful. Will be returning in the future!

Excellent. Booked a table for 2 and confirmed my reservation. The decoration is sublime, and the staff top notch. Our food was delicious! (meatballs and the salmon). The spinach was also very, very good. Highly recommended!

A classic - wanted to visit for a long time since hearing about it on LBC from one of the presenters. White table cloths, classic American fayre in the middle of theatre land. Well worth a visit and will return. The team were really nice and although we were one of the last seatings of the day, there was no rush and the food was really good. Worth visiting...

I give this place five stars for atmosphere alone. We came in to try their London Cocktail week cocktail which was really good actually (they have two choices they've made and we tried both.) The bar is so cool and definitely decked out with a lot of fun NYC and Theater memorabilia. It feels like you're in a celeb fave hidden gem spot just steps from Broadway. Our service was a little lackluster, but we had a lot of fun sitting at a table by the piano and being serenaded by the talented Lee. He made our night a true gem! All in all this place is lovely and I would def come back here again when I get to visit in the future.

I met with an old friend in this cozy spot near the play we were seeing later. The staff was right on top of everything and made sure we got our food in a timely manner. I had the Caesar salad with chicken and the banana cream pudding (just so-so) it was a satisfying meal for me. My friend got the steak- well done. Overall, good service, decent food and a warm atmosphere!

After a long overdue visit we had the most fantastic night in Joe Allen. The cocktails, the food, the service, the ambience were all perfect. It was the best meal we've had in London in a long time and we can't wait to return.

I heard about Joe Allen from the LBC radio presenter Steve Allen (no relation) so was very excited to try the restaurant with my friend for her Birthday. From the outside (and from when you walk in) you feel like you're actually in New York with the American flags and exposed brick/dark wood décor and the traditional American fare on the menu ranging from BBQ Ribs to Grilled Salmon and Italian style meatballs in tomato sauce. I also have to mention their amazing desserts (we shared a delicious and very naughty Chocolate Brownie Sundae) and were tempted by the superb sounding cocktails. If you're looking for a really fun and great value for money experience then I'd highly recommend Joe Allen. Big shout out to our lovely waitress who looked after us so well and even kindly arranged for a surprise "Birthday Ice cream with candle" for my friend's birthday.

Thank you for a wonderful experience at Joe Allen. We originally booked for 7pm to come after a show in the west end however the matinee performance was cancelled. We went to Joe Allen and asked staff if we could move our reservation as we didn’t want to wait almost 5 hours and they were extremely well accommodating. The service and food was amazing. Thank you as well for bringing out the dessert with ‘Happy Birthday’ on it for my nan. It was a lovely surprise for her. We will be back again.

Joe Allen is my go-to place for dinner with colleagues when I'm staying over in this part of town - theatreland/Westminster. The atmosphere is buzzing yet relaxed and the staff are super friendly and helpful. And the food - really good quality and a good range to suit most budgets. Fish is particularly good but so are the ribs, salads and I hear there is an off-the-menu burger... A really welcoming place to wind down after a busy day!
