I don’t know what it is as of recently, but I’ve really developed a little bit of a crush on Canary Wharf. During the week this part of the city can be very boozy and rather busy but as long as your game – so is Canary Wharf. The best time to visit this part of London is at the weekend. No city workers or tourist – just you, fellow diners and empty streets to wonder around. It’s rather sun drenched too and has so many places to sit outdoors. We hoped on the boat from Chelsea Harbour to Canary Wharf just after 5pm. A smooth 45 minute boat journey into the city while enjoying a cheeky beer on board the riverboat service.
With summer teasing us this year and the opportunity to dine al fresco being a rare occurrence, I was extremely lucky to have been asked to sample Ibérica La Terraza on one of the warmest evenings of the year so far. Located directly opposite the main Ibérica restaurant in Canary Wharf, La Terraza has taken over a leafy corner of Cabot Square and offers a taste of Madrid’s famous ‘terrace culture’ in E14. In fact they brought in renowned Catalan designer Lázaro Rosa Violán to give it an authentic style. As soon as you step through the iron gates you feel as if you have entered an enchanted garden, with the smell and gentle sound of the neighbouring fountain making you feel you are in the middle of the Mediterranean rather than the middle of London’s banking capital. Latin music plays softly in the background and the staff have thick Spanish accents, all adding to the authenticity of the surroundings.
Good place, friendly staff, a bit too expensive for the quality which they serve food/ drinks. We order wine glasses and there was not more than 100ml each for 9.50£.
Nice view, and quick service.
Fabulous experience. Food was fab. Vibe and location amazing. The only problem was the paella was on the indoor menu and not outdoors
Excellent service and the food was lovely just a bit pricey for what you get
Excellent food , drink and atmosphere, many thanks to Morgan for the attentive service and great product knowledge, many thanks again 5Stars
I've only been for drinks so can't give a food review but the drinks and service are second to none, one of my favourite places to come in the Wharf. The fountains behind you provide an outdoor experience you don't get much here and the people look after you so well, it's great. Best in the summer but I've been here in the winter too and the many heat lamps make it much more comfortable than any other outdoor places in the area. Enjoy!
Good quality 🌟 beautiful terraza
Went couple of days ago with my girlfriend, nice atmosphere and delicious tapas! Went there just for couple of drinks and something easy to eat. Sweet potato was something extraordinary! Sheery Negroni not bad at all.
I'll surely come back.
Great little spot and a very romantic feel. Fab cocktails and the food menu was good too
Great place for nice weather lunch get togethers or after work drinks. Lovely environment, secluded and almost hidden. You sit under trees, not feeling you are surrounded by high rises. Try to sit a bit sweaty from the water coming from the fountain as you may find yourself shouting as you compete to the sound of falling water. Difficult to find place after work with warm weather. The cheese and meat platters are great. You can have done small dishes to share as well along with your wine. The service is friendly.
Nice spot for a coffee. On a Friday night it seems to turn into a night club. Music was amazing but more importantly, the dj played every single one of my three obscure requests. And also the cocktail guy fired up the coffee machine, which had been cleaned and shut down, just to make us espresso martinis.
I adored this terrace: the decoration is very minimal and cosy, and the food is proper Spanish. I highly recommend la pluma ibérica, which is a ree-range pure Ibérico pork, hasselback Josper potatoes and mojo rojo sauce and the Pear and La Peral Blue Cheese Salad. Thank You Ibérica Team!
The place is super cool,
Staff very friendly.. food is delicious!!
But HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT A PLACE LIKE THIS, DOESNT HAVE A TEQUILA TO MAKE A MARGARITA?! The drinks menu is really limited.. which is sad to say, I will definitely come back.. but hopefully next time they will do something for the menu..
Our waiter Daniele was fantastic and the bartender Nazzareno too!!
