Super friendly staff and the best hot dogs this side of the pond. This was the first pub we experienced in the UK and it left us with the best impression. Thank you for being so welcoming and understanding of this Canadian who thought the Hackney lemonade was a hard lemonade or some kind of wine cooler, a term which also generated a quizzical look.

Visited yesterday and flipping loved it. Bar staff are total babes and the food from Wild Dog Kitchen was absolutely amazing. Jordan you’re a wizard. Wings, burger, fries- all stunning. Will be back soon

I came here with friends for a meal and it was amazing! Everything was so delicious i didn't want to share any food. The chef also came out to ask how our meal was - he's a lovely man and very accommodating. I would love to go again in the future and stay later for more drinks and music.

Having come from cafe oto we cheekily asked if they could serve us 2/3 pint... And the amazing staff were willing to oblige! We settled on a lovely pint of local brew instead but all credit to an accommodating response to a ridiculous request ... Lovely atmosphere ... Lovely beer

I really like this pub but it loses half a point for being so far away from everything else! I dragged my friends up Amhurst Road, cajoling and promising them all the while that it wouldn't be much further and that it would be worth it when we got there. It was with some relief that I discovered my promises were true, and they seemed to agree with me.

This has a bit of a wild, pagan theme - lots of wicker and animals, though the rest of the decor is quite clean and cool, with slate grey walls. They have several craft beers (of course - this is a new pub in Hackney, it's practically mandatory) but they also have a few ciders as well - including the 'Deadly Ciders', packing a punch at 6% and above, which pleased me greatly.

After dinner at nearby Oslo, my next stop was a little further north up Amhurst Road at the charming new Hand of Glory pub, part of the Jaguar Shoes collective (whose Old Shoreditch Station café has apparently just launched the first Bitcoin ATM).

The decor & drinks nod to British folklore with flagons of cider, maypoles, trees, wicker masks and a terrifying (adorable) straw bear. A lot of love and attention has gone into making Hand of Glory look fantastic, and I would adopt this as my local in a heartbeat if I lived anywhere near here. The awesome honey monster lookalike in the corner will apparently be scarier when he has arms - I hope they leave him as he is!

The beers are great with draught offerings from Weird Beard, Crate and Five Points and a solid bottle selection including Pressure Drop in the fridge. A barrel aged "Ents Blood" Negroni sits proudly on the bar top, along from an imposing stone tom-cat apparently made from a chunk of St. Paul's Cathedral! In the days of bath tub gin, tom-cat plaques used to be placed outside gin houses & would dispense gin when a coin was placed inside its mouth. This one isn't up and running yet, but they hope to create a Mouse Trap style coin run that will eventually find its way to the cat.

On the food front, they have brought in popular street food team, Fleisch Mob (run by Mark Edwards), who are serving up a range of rural "Folk Mob" British dishes with Austrian twists. Go for "Pork Life" pictured below- smoked pork sausage stuffed with emmental, wrapped in Old Spot bacon, served in a roll with fermented cabbage. The roasts sound pretty special too - big tables will be able to pre-order a chunk of meat (e.g. 60 day aged Shorthorn topside) which will arrive ready to be carved with a load of veg to share. Finish off with Sorbitium ice creams for dessert.

This is an absolutely beautiful pub. The people behind the bar will make your night. Drinks are good, prices too. Food will sort you out for what you need. Open late for the guys who need a late night pint or two and Also some pretty cool dj sets. Will be here for years to come. Big love to Emanuel outside ❤️

Stumbled upon this bar by accident, came in for a drink and the bartender told me that there was another selection in the back bar. I wandered through and found a rock/metal band playing. It was a great experience and i'm glad that i came into this pub! Would definitely come again for some interesting music and a drink. The pub has a very dingy feel to it but it isn't it's just atmospheric which I really liked.

Quirky but cozy with great craft beer selection. Check this place out if you’re tired of the regular beers served at most pubs. Food looked and smelled great, especially the paprika fries. Will be back!

Made a really unplanned stop and stumbled upon this pub as a nice surprise. Have to say the Sunday Roast is really good and the services are spot on. You get a bottle of water and drinking glasses as standard on the table. Atmosphere and deco are good. Fresh flowers on each table is a nice touch. Overall will definitely recommend.

Good Sunday lunch. Whacky decor. Friendly staff. Part of the Jaguar Shoes Collective. Could do with a new couch. Beers are odd. Found a nice pilsner.

I generally hate pubs and I love this one! The staff are SUPER nice, they always make an effort and actually smile all the time; their burgers are banging; the other day I tried their Sunday roast for the first time and it was delicious too; they offer music nights and the venue is always nicely decorated and feels very cosy :)

Often eclectic pub, can have a quiet pint and catch up with friends. Later on a little dance floor forms and the music is great. Big fan of this place

What a blessing to find such a beautiful pub open to a decent hour on weekends! Reminds me of so many wonderful pubs in Melbourne I used to love - beautiful, great vibes, great music, great beer. Yet to try the food but looking forward to it!
