Australians visiting London should definitely visit this Pub. It’s host understands the word host, he is welcoming, accomodating, and a wealth of knowledge which he imparts freely, a well travelled man himself. A brewery Pub selling a unique product. We met Australian friends here and it was a highlight of our London visit.

This pub is tucked away, just off of Rathbone Place, but a real find and a half. Or perhaps just a half. I say this because the pub is tiny. But it is incredibly charming. A small bar area downstairs, with a cosy, large lounge when you head up the stairs. There is a second bar up there too, though I can't ever remember seeing it open. Perhaps when it gets really busy? Quite a nice place to take a date, providing as you don't go on a Friday afternoon or a summer's evening. It can get very busy.

Screw Flanders.

The Bricklayers Arms is hands down my favourite pub in central London. Like the Fitzroy, which I have also reviewed, it is a Samuel Smith pub and enjoys the same unique variety of deliciously brewed wheat beers, ales and ciders at extremely affordable prices. The atmosphere is what makes The Bricklayers Arms for me, as its upstairs is filled with comfy armchairs and real, frequently used fireplace next to which you can warm your feet. The tables are clear glass and filled with different books and tools of the bricklaying trade and there's a dartboard downstairs if you fancy a little bit of beer related exercise. A beautifully relaxing and charming pub.

Fantastic boozer. Lovely old wooden panelling. Good bar staff. Darts board. Brilliant Samuel Smith ales. When you think of a london boozer, you think of places like this. Quiet outdoor spot too + reasonably priced drinks. Charming.

Such a cool little pub in the middle of retail madness. Small but super friendly with the cutest of dogs to make you feel at home. Only stopped by for a drink, but would highly recommend this little haven in a busy area.

A lovely small pub near Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road. Good selection of beer and, unlike some other pubs in area with steep staircases, has ground floor toilets. Friendly bar staff and no annoying music.

Good place for a quiet break during sightseeing London. Classical English pub appearance. Beers fine but just fine. Not a place for beer geeks.

🚇 Tottenham Court Road 🍺 £4.60 Double Four ❤️ A gorgeous Georgian Sam Smiths pub. . Tucked away in a quiet side street not far from Tottenham Court Rd you’ll find The Bricklayers Arms. The nearest tube is Tottenham Court Rd and Goodge St is also close by. . This Georgian pub is as pretty as a picture, the timber and brick frontage make this a very inviting pub. . The Bricklayers is a small pub divided in to three areas. At the front of the pub is where the bar is, the bar area has small tables surrounded by stools and sofa benches. The walls are clad is Sam Smiths trademark dark wood panelling. At rear of the bar is another small room which has a dartboard and is decorated in floral wallpaper. Upstairs is a cosy affair, there are winged chairs, sofas and a fireplace to warm ones cockles. . As with all Sam Smiths pubs there beer choice is all in house brews. I usually go for the Double Four lager, it’s is a good session pint and retails at under a fiver. I couldn’t see any evidence of food being available. . The atmosphere was calm on this Saturday afternoon, I sat in the back bar as the front bar was full with tourists, day trippers and a few locals. The back bar is tiny and intimate, I sat close to two American chaps who had an in depth conversation about where they’ve visited around the world. One fella was explaining to his friend about his family tree and that his great great grandfather was an important figure in the American civil war. I was being so nosey and couldn’t help but listen in on their very interesting conversation. . The Bricklayers Arms is one of those pubs that when you look at it you immediately get that urge to go in. It’s a cosy intimate pub full of old world charm and has a lovely ambiance to it. This pub can be a lure for tourists but overall it’s definitely worth a visit. . 📊 Information correct on visiting 28/05/22

Absolutely amazing. A truly hidden gem. Staff so friendly. The charcuterie we had was really good! And so was the alcohol they served. You can see the love they pour into their business!

Easily one of the best pubs in the area. Full of charm & character. Excellent selection of beers, ales & stout. Welcoming, friendly & efficient staff. They have 2 smaller rooms on the ground floor & a bigger room upstairs on the 1st floor (wether ladies toilets are located). However a lot of customers prefer to drink on the street outside during warmer days in London. Love the decor of this English pub. Very cosy.

Lovely pub just behind Oxford Street with loads of pints below £4. Taddy lager is £3.90, there's another for £3.50 and they have a 2.8% Alpine lager for £2.80. Can't argue with those prices. Went on a Saturday and it was pretty quiet, but I imagine it's a lot busier on weekdays. Nice room upstairs with a log fire, but we thought the decor and fairly silent atmosphere did make it feel a bit like you were in a country hotel. We went to another Sam Smiths later that evening (aforementioned prices) and it had exactly the same quiet country hotel bar vibe. Signs and coasters everywhere rather aggressively advertising the no phones policy, although it didn't seem too strictly enforced whilst we were in either pub. I think it's a pretty good idea and it made us notice how often you automatically reach for your phone without particularly wanting or needing to. It didn't seem a massive problem to be honest, but perhaps just change the way the policy is advertised/enforced, as it seems to be upsetting a lot of people.

Love this place the cheap drinks and the full range of Sam Smith ales! I like particularly the different rooms where you have a drink with a group of friends or more intimate meeting in a very cosy ambience…staff is very friendly including Juliet and Paul, the two managers and food is nice too particularly Fish and Chips! The place is hidden just at the back of oxford str/tottenham court rd in a very quiet corner. I would definitely suggest it for any occasion.

Great pub hidden away from the extremely busy Tottenham Court Road. A slice of (relative) calm in an otherwise chaotic part of town. Digital detox zone also so no phones and tablets (so you shouldn't be reading this if you are there!) Decent beers as it's a Sam Smith's pub (which also means they are good value!) Highly reccommended.

Quaint hideaway with great range of Samuel Smith's beers. Animal friendly and plenty of space upstairs and round the back of the bar. A real country local in the heart of London. Like this review if it was helpful.
