All the food except the tempura was great. Prawn tempura had way too much batter, and the meat felt rubbery. So taking a star off for that.
Service was fast, and atmosphere was excellent as well - nice and quiet even though the place was full!
M&D Japanese restaurant is located at the Deford High Street and with 3 minutes walk away from the train station, a very easy to find place. π
The chef and staff are friendly and always smiling, making everyone feels welcome and comfortable. π
What's more comfortable are the soft sofas and big tables, making the restaurant ideal place for evenings and weekends hangouts. π

Amazing presentation of food and excellent flavour too. Nice squishy sushi rice and plump biteable fish on top.
A good selection of sushi, sashimi and a bento box were tried all of which were excellent. There is no photo of the Bento box sadly which was beautifully presented like the rest of our food. Portion sizes were generous and plenty for the three of us and I dont think we topped much more than Β£10 a head. The taste of the food was very good and equal if not better than some of the sushi chains in the UK. Portion sizes were larger than the the chains in the UK. Definitely an authentic tasty Japanese experience! The only down side with the food was not enough wasabi or ginger and not quite spicy enough for me.
They were very allergy conscious which was reassuring. I adore sushi and Japanese food and hate to be excluded but I could eat the sushi with ease. I would have loved to eat other items on the menu too so just a little bit more allergy consciousness would be great such as making other dishes available to nut and seed sufferers.
This isn't a restaurant it more resembles an authentic Japense sushi bar so it looks somewhere between a takeaway and a small but smart cafe. It is a lovely intimate and yet informal setting to have fun with friends, family or dates. It could be the pit stop you need before visiting the games cafe nearby.
When I lived locally, their Pumpkin korroke rice and curry was a staple in my diet. Since I've moved, I always make it a point to come for lunch if I'm in the areaπ

This place is the most accessible small Japanese takeaway ever been to! Really good and there is a ramp up to the entrance. The food is amazing please come here it needs more people! Such cheap sushi and really good curry. So happy β‘
Food was delicious and very cheap. Service was great and waiting times were not long at all. Sushi pieces are enormous, noodles run aplenty. Loved everything, only wish there was a wider selection of drinks

M and D is always perfect. Nothing to complain about. If you are a Goldsmiths student, 1 hour is enough to have a meal there. It's better food than on campus and you'll get your money worth.
Friendly Japanese takeaway in Deptford, price is actually quite good and I checked their food hygiene rating is 5 so actually decent. You can get a box of sushi roll for 4Β£
Nothing to complain about really
I do love the place, I do love the food. Do not expect a posh place, but you will definitely eat very delicious and tasty food. Price? You can have a dinner spending less than Β£ 10.00. Eat here and you won't go wrong, eat local!

Absolutely love this place, the food is so yummy and affordable, staff are friendly, I absolutely love their Gyoza's, special fried rice and Spicy chicken ramen soup, the sushie is good too π

The staff there are extremely kind.
I ate tofu udon soup and it was very filling and tasty.
But usually I have tofu katsu curry which is also delicious.
I get a regular itch for their yummy teriakyi salmon, and the spicy ramen soup is pretty tasty too
