Wonderful retreat in the heart of Soho. Great food and the best staff in London.
Fabulous quirky venue situated in the heart of the city! We provided Music & Entertainment for a wedding at The Union Club. Very friendly and accommodating staff and knowledgeable events organisers. Highly recommended
Intimate little venue. Very friendly staff. Quirky building right in the middle of town.
Great food. The warmest staff. Best Members' Club.
An oasis of calm and coolness - staff are fantastic
What a fantastic place - loved every minute there .
I've been a member for many years and love it there.
It's my haven from a crazy world
I went for the first time as a member, (id been once before for someone's birthday bash) as I get a social membership through my Royal Television Society membership.
Right from the off I was greeted warmly by the lovely and charming blonde lady at reception, and led into the warm red bosom of the bar, which was incredibly cosy.
All the staff were very charming and friendly, our waitress sasha in particular, who kept thinking I was calling her as I was talking about my girlfriend of the same name but was patient and charming throught, despite the fact my idiot companion toom an hour to choose from the menu.
We came mainly for drinks, but also had food, all of which was very good. My terrine was splendid as were the super crunchy hand cut chips.
I thought the bill very reasonable, the decor and ambience interesting and full of strange quirks (I'm still wondering how they had gotten the infamous barred list from the Herne Hill pub) including pictures of many a deceased former member, thr staff cheery and engaging and the food and drink top drawer.
Fabulous, I shall return!
Gorgeous place for drinks or a meal. Fantastic atmosphere with decor that feels homely and non-pretentious
Just the best experience you could ever have. Superb food, really welcoming. I'm in heaven when I'm here.
Such a warm inviting Club. The mood is always up with room for a smile. I love the crowd of portrait paintings or photos on all the walls; it’s a people place. Soft colours, I enjoy coming; it lifts my mood if it is not already buzzing.
As a Member I receive zingy Club emails from Cat revealing, virus compliant, stories and adventures, recipes, new jams, she says,
“I'll tell you one thing - we never thought that hot water bottles would be a big news item at the Union (more on that below...)”
“JAZZ PIANO AT THE CLUB
We are thrilled to welcome our old mate Ceri Evans back to the Union to tinkle the ivories in the ground floor bar on Thursday 22nd of October.
Ceri – better known as ‘Sunship’ – is a producer, DL, remixer and Jazz pianist,”
And the energy in the huge art pieces exhibited in the Studio on the first floor.
Zingy is the word! Wherever I am when I read one of her emails, whatever my mood, Cat brings back moments of pleasure at the Club. I plan my next visit.
On Wednesday 21 October at lunchtime I wandered in; all tables booked, a sofa and table was found...perfect for me, as from my low dark corner I could see everything and everybody and the food...my goodness, please look at my photo of the Plaice. Cut to shape, very thick flesh, crisply finished and served in a light stock with cannoli beans...beyond heaven...all the flavours melded beautifully.
And I was looked after in my corner never forgotten.
Crime brûlée.....and many delightful conversations.
The Club is open to guests as well as Members...why not call to arrange to pop in.

This place is great! The food is great and the staff are great, the decor is great and all of it is just great!
Just love the vibe and literally everything about this place. I will never not recommend.
Really lovely evening; Dinner and drinks with former work colleagues, a great atmosphere with a pianist and the whole place was buzzing. Thanks to Maria, Katie, Paul and the rest of the team for looking after us. Food was fantastic too!!!
Great service and lovely interior. Didn't have food this time but I am told it is oh so delicious. They have a lovely roof terrace too
I've been coming here for nearly 30 years it is dear to my heart. The staff and atmosphere are amazing
Feel SO incredibly privileged to be a member. A very special place. From my first visit was made to feel I had been going for years. If you could drip feed me the sublime Pear and Chocolate tart please.....
The Union Club is housed in an old Soho building with a mercifully unmodernised interior creating a really comfortable environment for meeting people and having drinks and food. The food is unpretentious, well cooked and presented, at surprisingly decent prices - it's very enjoyable.
The service is exceptionally friendly.
This really is a great place. Once you're hooked it may be difficult to stay away!
