Great little bar. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff and a great selection of whiskey. Really cosy but not too loud. Will Certainly return
Great place and fantastic selection of whiskeys. But the best was the help in making selections.....

The wife bought me an experience at Black Rock for my birthday, we had a great time tasting some cracking whiskey, the staff knew what they were talking about and gave us a load of information about the different types of whiskey we should try. Top place.

Absolutely in love with Black Rock. The atmosphere, knowledgable and friendly staff and sheer extent of unique and beautiful whiskies makes it a place that's not to be missed
Really great place to sample whisky in a relaxed atmosphere.
Shhhh! Don't tell anyone. (I am a whiskey drinker. This is by far my favorite hidden den).
Great hidden gem where you can taste some of the best whisky in town
An awesome experience !
A must do for every whiskey lover !
Simply great ! The staff are awesome too...
I was fascinated !
Fantastic selection of whiskies in a great setting - chilled, great music selection and great service by knowledgeable and welcoming staff.
The ultimate hang out! Great whiskeys and the staff know their whiskeys to a T. Can't wait to go back!
Try the house blend!
Wow! Customer service brilliant and knowledge of the whiskey spot on. I will definitely be coming back again.
Lovely, chilled place with a fantastic selection of whisky. Easy pricing structure and some very interesting sounding cocktails. The wooden tasting table that doubles as a cask for whisky finishing is really unique.

Black Rock is cool. It just is. Which is not surprising given its big sister is the Worship Street Whistling Shop around the corner.
While the Whistling Shop specializes in gin, Black Rock specializes in whiskey. In a big way. If you don’t like whiskey, you really shouldn’t bother coming to this bar – every cocktail has whiskey in it, be it highball or short and strong, and the only other option is four beers. Because that’s not the point.
Great whisky bar. What an I credible selection. Over 400 whisky’s and the staff was so knowledgeable about the flavors. The table was also incredible they were aging whisky under the glass. I had a great time with the flights and will definitely visit again to try the cocktails.
Really love this place. Very good choice of whiskies, organised by the dominant flavour profile, quirky atmosphere, and a long table which doubles as Old Fashioned cask! What else do you need? Did I mention the weekly tasting sessions with different distilleries? Definitely a place to try!
Nice little find! Loved the atmosphere, the central oak table (half an oak tree!). Great cocktails and a tremendous range of malt whisky.
A whiskey lovers paradise staffed by complete enthusiasts! Their approach is to have 3 cabinets, and that's how they sort the whiskey to flavour. Their pricing mechanism is very straight forward too, coloured dots on the bottles showing their price bracket, but only going up to about £30 a dram.
The centre piece though is an oak table that holds their cocktail whiskey for about a week and then they bottle it. Very clever! I love it!
Hard to find, but excellent whisky bar in London. They have a great selection of whiskies and the staff is very knowledgeable to help introduce you to new ones as well. It’s small, so be sure to make a reservation before you go!
Very cool whisky bar. Large selection of whiskies at reasonable prices. Lovely whisky based cocktails too. The staff were very passionate and knowledgeable about whisky and took the time to explain the concept of the bar etc. Well worth a visit.
This was hands down one of my favorite whiskey bars to check out in London! I brought a few friends who are not into whiskey at all, and even they had a great time talking with the employees, trying some unique whiskeys, and sampling some of their cocktails. I tried both the Scotch and American old fashioneds that they age within the giant Oak Table that runs through the middle of the bar, which is super awesome! They have a glass channel on top so you can look into it and see the cocktails resting in the Oak, super unique. The cocktails were excellent, and the way they had organized the whiskeys in the cases based on flavor profile and intensity was amazing! I got a chance to try out some unique whiskeys that I've never tried before, and the staff was more than kind to pick some out for me based on what I liked and don't like!
It's so much fun to see how passionate everyone we spoke to here is about whiskey! You could take someone who hates whiskey, bring them here, and I guarantee that they'll leave with a different impression on it! Huge thanks to everyone here and especially Alex for making our visit something special!
Excellent and cosy underground bar! Great selection of whiskys and very helpful staff who will happily guide you through some lovely drams.
I randomly happened across a whisky tasting by Aberfeldy! Very reasonably priced and it was a great experience!
Super nice and intimate. Really made to feel welcome. We were asked our flavour preference and got to taste. It was a really nice atmosphere. Worth a visit
Amazing little whisky s̶̶h̶̶r̶̶i̶̶n̶̶e̶̶ ̶̶ bar hidden behind Finsbury Square. New tastings every Tuesday, cases filled with bottles chosen by knowledgeable enthusiasts (rather than collectors), and engaging, passionate staff.
Highly recommended.
I know I'll be going back.
