I have eaten a lot of Turkish food in my time, Nothing compares to the freshly prepared traditional dishes they make here. The staff always greet you with a smile and the service A+. If your idea of Turkish food is just kebabs then you really must try this place it will blow you away. Thanks everyone at Somine. It was delicious again.

All i can say is that i am in love with this place. The food was amazing everything was on point! The mix grill was out of this world, everything was perfect nothing under cooked or burnt just fresh tasty meat!. The lamb kebabs were my favourite if i was to choose but it was hard to as everything else was just too good! The service was really good fast and friendly approach which was perfect and everything is kept clean. After my 1zt experience will defo be coming back for another 100 times more and beyond! Excellent food with affordable prices, also the service was great too. Booked a private room downstairs for over 20 people, everyone enjoyed their time and had a good laugh. Thanks to the owner, a lovely warm lady, will definitely recommend!

Currently my fav Turkish on Kingsland. Not many better lunches in the world than a big bowl of Turkish lentil soup and loads of Turkish bread. Decent dinner option too - got the mixed kebab platter recently and it's quality. More than enough for 4 people, great price, great meat. Wash down with an Efes obviously. The staff are brilliant too - out to the waiter who is a bit like the butler from The Adams Family, gr8 service and cheers for the complimentary baklava. Top.

It was back to Dalston a couple weekends ago to try more Turkish food in that hood. It was snowing that day and we hustled our way up Kingsland High Street and I eventually pulled Blai into Şömine. I’d been wanting to try some of their homestyle food for a while though the waiter who greeted us first warned that we couldn’t get kebabs there! They must get that request a lot. While still choosing between the five or six dishes on the steam table by the window, my attention was drawn to the back of the restaurant where I noticed two women folding pasta. Turkish manti! It was decided – an order of manti had to be part of our lunch as well as a dish from the steam table that came highly recommended by our waiter. A huge basket of bread and a generously filled pickle plate came immediately to our table which I nibbled on while I watched the women make manti. Roll out the dough, slice it up into little squares, a dab of seasoned lamb mince on each and then press press press to form the uniqu

I first checked this restaurant out because many Turkish people I know recommended it, so obviously I was going to take this on board. I’ve been going to Simone regularly now for about 10 years, and in the last year or so about fortnightly, so you can traduce I like this place a lot. Mostly, I visit there on my own and this feels OK because it had a very relaxed feel, and is not a formal dining kind of place. It’s a very relaxing place to sit and watch the world go by outside as it has large glass windows onto the street on two sides. When you sit down you get served immediately, and you don’t have to wait long for your food to arrive. I confess I’ve never eaten from the fixed menu but choose dishes that are on display under glass at the front of the restaurant. These include various meat and a vegetarian dishes. I often go for the lamb shank which is always beautifully cooked. Today I had aubergine stuffed with minced lamb, served with red bulgur wheat, salad and plenty of warmed bread. It was delicious. The meat is so flavoursome. The salad very fresh and crisp, and it comes with a complimentary Turkish tea if you request it. The restaurant is also extremely clean and the tables always clean. The above mentioned meal by the way came to £12. If you like good quality tasty authentic food, served in a diner like environment in the middle of hustle and bustle Hackney, this is it.

I went to Somine after a stand-up gig at Earth and the food was definitely a incredible ending to a good evening. The staff were welcoming and funny and the food was delish ! We had the mixed grill which was juicy and hot - perfect for a rainy evening. The meal was meant to be for a single person but the portion size was so generous that two of us enjoyed it and there were still leftovers. It was the first time I had pickled veggies with my grill and LOOVED IT, needless to say I will always order the side now. I'm still on a student budget and love how Turkish meals come with complementary hot breads ! One last shout out to the staff who were as funny as the comedian we watched ! Absolute legends !

Meat soup "paça" was very tasty and filling. Also Adana kebab(mince kebab) was juicy and medium cooked inside, well cooked outside which is perfect balance for this kebab. Loved the fast service, friendly staff and reasonable priced high quality Turkish food here. Highly recommended from Turkish foodie person ;)

An excellent meal...good quality meats ,breads and salads..plus they have a good vegan menu as well. . They always seem to be full with locals which is a good sign. Not too expensive either. They do sell beers and other alcohols. Worth the effort

Stumbled upon Somine one evening after a show at Earth. From the moment we entered the staff made us feel very welcomed and provided great service. Quickly found the dishes we were interested in. After have traveling to Turkey and living mainly in the states, I can say this Turkish food really proves to me the wonders of kebob in London. Somine in particular is a great unassuming place with unbelievable value. Cheers Eric

The food is decent but certainly not the best value in the area. However, the place is very nice, service extremely friendly and they let you sit for food until midnight which is a treat. The perfect spot for a late dinner

Good quality basic Turkish food. Helpful staff, varied clientele. Two if us paid £30 for a starter, a main dish and a shared desert.

Somine is the most authentic, real, flavoured, value for money turkish spot there is in London. They are there from morning to early morning. To serve you what your hearts content. Soups, stews, kebabs, salads you name it they have it all thanks to the chefs. The men in the back cooking up the meat and the Turkish women in the back cooking up a blessing just how your mum makes at home. I used to go 3/4 x a week for years. If you haven’t already been and you’re from the area just try it. Try the stew options. The lamb/ meat stew was my favourite. Sides, pickles, bread and stew all come together.

Turkish Manti deliciously served with garlic yoghurt and chilli. The soft shell of the Manti breaks gently in your mouth with mouthwatering lamb bursting out. This is followed by the smoothness of the garlic yoghurt with the hint of chili 😋 An absolute wonderful experience for the taste buds 👌. - 8/10-
