If you are looking for some good pasta this is one option. Located close to Piccadilly Circus station, they have a menu with a big range of options and not very expensive. On evenings and at weekend it's mandatory to have a reservation.

I went there on a birthday party I had in London and it was my first contact with something envolving Jamie Oliver's name and I loved the experience! We had an awesome dinner with great food and good wine! I ate the Serloin and it melted like butter! I'm really excited to try the Lisbon's franchising!

If you are looking for a comfy food restaurant at the heart of London, must try the Jamie’s Italian restaurant, near Picaddily Circus. From the starters, followed by pasta and ending with a chocolate brownie, you can have a taste of all the Jamie Oliver’s flavours. Ideal if you love spicy food.

I visited Jamie's on a recent trip to London. This is the first Jamie's Italian I have been to in London - I've tried it in Dubai and in Sydney and have always been pleased with the quality of the food. Tried the evening menu which turned out to be fabulous. Really great value, bigger than expected portions, amazing selection. I selected the truffle pasta for starter, the chicken for main and the infamous chocolate brownie for dessert. I couldn't fault any of these - the taste was amazing!! As for everything else, although initially it took a while for the waiter to take my order, he was later super attentive and quite lovely. This is set in an old pub so a little different to the modern setting of Dubai and Sydney but it was still quite nice. I even tried Jamie's beer! It wasn't bad! This is definitely one to try when in London Town!

Despite the fact that you can possibly find every option available at Jamie's on Instagram, nothing equals actually going there and experiencing it by yourself, which I highly recommend anyone who finds themselves in the mood for simple, but delicious Italian food. The British cook once again proves his ability to create something extraordinary with simple products (let's be honest, Italian cuisine is known exactly for that - simplest products that combined create the best tastes!) and I can honestly recommend you each and every position from his brand restaurants menu, starting from traditional pastas and finishing with their Tiramisu (which I found a little bit too pricey for the portion as it was almost 6£, but oh well, it's London at its finest)

I had already tried Jamie's Italian last year and I was thrilled about coming back.
The waitress proposed a few things to nibble while waiting for the main dishes: Natchos, Olives and Garlic bread. Everything was great!
I had the Crispy Duck Leg and my friends the Sirloin Steak and the Angus Fillet Steak.
The duck was a little over cooked although flavourful. The sides were generous however I was hoping for something else.
I stole some fries from their steaks (they looked really good) but was a little disappointed. The fries we're a bit tasteless and not crispy.

It is an affordable chain restaurant so it's important too considere this before having a lot of expectations on the "Jamie Oliver experience".
I really loved the spaghetti Carbonara, but I was not amazed. The garlic bread was one of the bests I've ever had and the "Epic Brownie" is definitely epic.

I was in London for only one night and someone suggested me this restaurant in Picadilly. It was great! I arrived there a bit late, it was almost 10 pm and they still served dinner. I was told that i might have to wait a bit, because its always full, but i didnt! The staff was very nice and the whole restaurant mood was very interesting and cozy, i felt very comfortable being there. I thought it would be an expensive restaurant, but for the type of food it wasnt expensive at all. Everything tasted amazing! From the starters to the dessert. Would definitely suggest this if you're into italian food!

What a place ! Once there is Italian restaurants in every corner of London, I personally get very bored of this cuisine when eating out! But Jamie's is excellent and every dish seems to be reinvented.. The mussels pasta that I had was very well done and the sea food looked to be very fresh ! And for dessert.. Pavlova of apple and blueberries, oh my God!! Oh, and if you are a lover of the Mediterranean tastes don't forget the board of breads with olive oil for starter, great for share! It isn't the most cheapest restaurant in London, I have to say. But is a fare budget for the meal!!

Jamie's Italian in Piccadilly Circus isn't your ordinary chain restaurant. This is evident from the outside of the restaurant as it is actually located in an old converted pub.

If you ask me what my favourite food is, it would have to be Italian. I can eat that stuff morning, noon and night. Every morning, noon and night too if I had to. So when I was invited to come and review Jamie's Italian, needless to say I was pretty chuffed.I picked the one in Piccadilly, because of its super central and convenient location. It looks like a traditional English pub from the outside, but inside you've got that homey Jamie theme going on. I didn't get a proper good look at the upper part of the restaurant, as I was whisked down to the basement by the hostess, but apparently there are five levels and there is even a roof terrace to enjoy al fresco drinks, English weather permitting.

Imagine my surprise when we walk to Jamie's Italian and it turns out to be an old pub that they’ve worked around to create a restaurant. It definitely helped alleviate some of the cookie-cutter feel you get with chain restaurants that all look the same inside. The decor is about what you’d expect from a pub with wood paneling and chalkboards with specials and notes. But in the windows hangs the signature pork leg, garlic and chili that you expect somewhere like this. I thought it was actually a good balance between familiar and unique.

That being said, it’s still your standard casual dining type of atmosphere. Nice enough, but not so nice you’ll be out of place if you are wearing scruffy jeans and a t-shirt.

Would I Want Seconds?

We thought about getting the Ultimate Plank (£10.95 per person), but the only extra thing I wanted was the Italian Nachos (£3.95) so we settled on those and the regular Meat Plank (£6.95 per person). The meat plank is pretty hard to go wrong on…deli meat, cheese and some nibbles.

The Pistachio Mortadella so smooth and delicious…I think it might be the . I’m pretty sure I could make a meal out of this if they’d give you a bit more of everything! The the Italian Nachos were kind of a weird twist between by beloved St. Louis favourite Toasted Ravioli and little cracker puff type snacks. They either are or went cold really quickly, but were definitely a tasty treat that I’d try again.

We also ordered the Penne Carbonara (£10.95 for a main dish size). Now I don’t know if it was because of my dish taking awhile to cook or a fluke…but when it came out the temperature on the pasta was really uneven which put my husband off a bit. In the middle it was lovely and warm and creamy and tasted like we expected. It’s a good, standard pasta and the portions size is fair…it’s just a shame it wasn’t all piping hot and creamy.

For my main I ordered the Turkey Milanese (£13.50). I found it really hard to choose a dish as part of me wanted pasta but part of me wanted to try something else. I finally figured I could always steal a bite of my husbands dish and settled on the turkey milanese. However, reading the description I was worried it wouldn’t be a complete enough meal as it was just meat with an egg basically..so I also ordered some Funky Chips (£3.85). When it came out it was huge…but I was glad to have ordered the chips because it was also pretty plain. Once I got to the cheese and ham centre it was a bit better…but I think without the other dish to complement it I would have been pretty bored with the meal.

Could I Afford Seconds?

Jamie’s is definitely your affordable, casual dining chain. You could easily eat here for £20 per person even if you did get a glass of wine. So if you’re looking for some decent food and are on a budget this is definitely a good option. I think it’s also really great the the prices are kept reasonable despite the really central location.

I’m not sure what it’s like on the weekends - but on a Thursday night they had a good crowd but also plenty of tables for those without a reservation. So if you find yourself wandering around Soho looking for somewhere to eat this could be a good option.

Overall?

Mostly I liked it. There were some hiccups with the food temperature and a large obnoxious group nearby (though to be fair that could happen anywhere). But it’s quick, easy and definitely affordable.

Although the menu is diverse and has some unique dishes I do feel like you lose some of the presentation and passion that you might get from an independent restaurant. However, you have to balance whether convenience, price and familiarity outweigh having a trendy dish served on a roof slate in some sort of pop up restaurant.

I wouldn’t want to eat here all the time - but I definitely would give it another try if I was in the area. I should also say we didn’t get to see it, but this particular location has a roof bar apparently so I do think it would be a fantastic place to go a grab a drink and maybe snack on the meat plank after work if you’re in central London anyway!

I have been meaning to try one of Jamie's Italian Resto's for a long old time since a friend of mine claimed 'it was some of the best pasta (he'd) eaten'. Being a bit of a pasta snob (DeCecco for everyday, Giuseppe Cocco for posh - trust me, it makes a difference) this claim stuck and therefore when I was invited down to try one on my doorstop for lunch I jumped at the chance...

We went for new year eve for have a dinner .
We always thought was a commercial , tourist place but has been a pleasure , find out that is a lovely place with a lovely service and good food.
We ordered a big plate of starter a big mix of salumi , olive , bread and other Italian delicious little starter.
Then we carry on with t-bone sirloin Steak , which was tender but unfortunately with a lot of garlic ( that wasn't mention in the menu) and a good salmon salad with good mix of vegetable and fruits.
Everything was a perfect mix for a simple and a family dinner , for a good start of the year.

Londra Serisinin 1.

Son olarak Jamie's Italian'a akşam saatlerinde gitmenizi öneririm. Nedenini bilemiyorum fakat daha keyifli olduğunu düşünüyorum.

Shame! This time there was no sauce with my steak, Luckily taste and service always good so I will still give 5 Stars. I hope the new steak menu will have some choice of sauce like before. I am a big fan of your special sauce!

I must says I like the food that i had but I believed a bit overpriced. Food is tasty, and dessert too, I had red berries merengue, which I must say, was a messy dessert as it was served in a tiny glass bowl, and each time dive in with spoon well it was slipping out of the bowl, so.om another occasion I had chocolate browny which was delicious and served on huge plate for a change ,lol. What really put me of and cost the place a star was the dirty toilet, two out of 4 in the ladies were blocked and the smell was simply overwhelming. Now I believe this should be checked regularly, after all food is being served there. Feedback given to employees, I shall wait and see if anything changes over time.

Staff are friendly, welcoming I had a very relaxing lunch . The pasta was really delicious and the portion was really big . Lunch special can’t go wrong . But if you are gonna eat desserts, choosing First 2 course carefully, they are just great size served .

We didn't have a booking on a Saturday night but just a 20 minute wait for a table. Staff were really friendly and the place has a really relaxed, retro vibe. Good for eating with kids too. Lovely menu, reasonably priced. Drinks perhaps a bit more expensive than others. Small glass of house red wine at £5.50. Enjoyed a very delicious vegetarian lasagne.

Food was excellent. Service was brilliant but toilets were disgusting. I went with my friends and we had a 2 course meal, a side and a glass of prosecco for £19.50. Not many choices on the set meal. Just 4 starters, 4 mains, 3 sides and 4 desserts. But choices were great. You can have nachos, squid, salad or tomato and mozzarella brucheta to start. Mains you can have chicken, steak, pasta or hamburger. Fries, salad and polenta as a choices of sides and few desserts. Good size of portions. I highly recommend to everyone

A beautiful historic London building that has had a great makeover inside, retaining some original blended with some modern. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The food choices is extensive and very tasty. Good choices of deserts and coffees. Beer, wines and cocktails also.

Lovely service in a great traditional pub-like location very close to Piccadilly Circus. We reserved the Christmas Feast and that's really what it was. The mixed starters plate was a dream, the main dish very good and the dessert as well. I also tried the Ginger Mojito which basically tasted like a normal one - unfortunately not gingery enough (apparently that was better a few years back when it really "burned your throat"). Nobody rushed us to leave and including the drinks beforehand at the bar and the 3-course-meal we payed 200 Pounds including tips for four persons. Fair.

I seriously loved the food I ate here. I ordered a meatball papardelle and loved it. But I love the brownie with vanilla ice cream and caramel popcorn the most! Really delicious and affordable Italian food. Definitely check it out if you're in London.

Stopped into Jamie's for a one last drink before setting off home for the evening. Bar staff were happy enough and there was a good selection of unusual craft beers to try. The bar area wasn't crowded and we were able to perch on some high stools with a view out onto the streets of Soho. Definitely a branding Mecca for all things Jamie Oliver - as is to be expected.

The service was good and the overall vibe really cool. I waited at the bar for like half an hour before getting a sit. My big complaint would be portion size. I ordered the lasagna which was awesome, but I wish there was much more of :( Being to Jamie's here in Brazil, I was expecting more. I did have their seasonal lemonade also which was very good!

My first visit with a group of 10 friends was pleasantly surprised as heard mixed reviews about the restaurant..The service was good and it was a Friday night and they were busy and the food was good with a big choice on the menu ...we saw some one fall down a step near the entrance which wasn't clearly marked so needs addressing...perfect location for pre dinner before the theatre...
