This is a beautiful pub. The staff are very friendly and the food good. The photos and artwork on the walls, in addition to the history of the place, make it even more pleasurable to be there of course.

If you are looking for a traditional English pub with charm and character then look no further than the Fitzroy Tavern. We visited this place on Thursday afternoon in beautiful sunny weather and sat outside watching the hustle and bustle and had a fantastic time. The building itself is very impressive and the location is very good too. The food is excellent as are the drinks (All Sam Smiths own brewed). The staff are all very pleasant and attentive and I can thoroughly recommend a visit. Mark

It is a fantastic traditional pub where you can be surrounded with the history so easily. Upstairs there are several rooms decorated in the Victorian style, with books, pictures of historical figures who used to attending the pub and wood. The vibe upstairs is relaxing, great for meeting with friends and spending time in a nice company. Downstairs is a pub in a way how you can imagine it. They have a great selection of alcohol and food is of a good quality.

Great pub, with great beer, not a single big commercial one. Did not eat, only drank. Great place to sit outside and people watch.

A great place for food. Amazing, tasty, hime cooked delights with enough on the menu for everyone. Seriously good food with real passion and care. Beer is great and the cozy London pub offers a real nice place all year round with its outside seating in the summer and cozy fire in the winter. I highly recommend

Been to this pub a couple of times now. It’s great, always very clean and the staff are very attentive. Good beer, nice to have some different drinks to the standard mainstream choice in a lot of pubs. The pubs interior is really interesting, a lot of history in the building. Would definitely go again if I’m back down in London.

I went here with my family today to show them a traditional English pub ( we live overseas). The food was fantastic, we all had the pie of the day and my children had the steak burgers. The staff were extremely attentive and very friendly. Highly recommend!

An historic pub embedded in local apocryphal anecdotes, the usual wearisome literary and Bohemian associations providing supplementary gravitas and tone. Retains some striking original Victorian decorative folderol including an embellished ceiling and noteworthy etched glass. Pleasant staff, realistic prices, a credible drink selection and reassuringly familiar. Embellishes rather than challenges the stereotype : this is not meant as criticism

Just head upstairs for the ultimate experience. Try to get a leather chair or sofa near window. Look at pictures and read stories.

So nice to find a West End pub that isn't too trendy. This one is old school the way you want it. Good cider, food lovely. Downstairs loos were spacious and clean.

I've always loved a Sam Smith's pub! Always down for a Taddy. There was a time when it felt like the people's pub showing us how cheap a pint really could be, alas those days seem to be gone. I guess there's no such thing as a cheap drink anymore? In any case, I've always enjoyed their aesthetic which seems to get rarer with time. Surprisingly great toilets downstairs by the way.

Recently visited this pub for dinner with my family and we have found our new favourite place to eat, there was something for everyone. Favourable mention for the pie!! The restaurant had a great atmosphere and we most definitely will be returning soon, 10/10 from us.

Went for lunch and it was great food with great decor and an open fire giving it a cosy feel. Notices on the table recommend not using your phone and reconnecting with each other. Fantastic sticky toffee pudding as well! Felt like a hidden gem - it was quiet and charming. Prices are surprisingly affordable for the area and really good value for the quality you get.
