This gorgeous pub just got so much better following an extensive refurb. Gone are the dusty curtains replaced by tasteful furnishings and soft lighting.
They have a fantastic range of beers and the menu looks really tempting too. Best of all for me are the 2 new publicans. You'll struggle to find a warmer welcome anywhere in London.
Highly recommend!
Such a lovely pub ! Amazing people, amazing service and such a friendly environment! Would highly recommend this pub ! #5Stars #Globetrotters
I've been going to this pub for a long time, and i'm enjoying the latest incarnation. The landlords and staff are all very friendly and welcoming, the beer is well kept and the food is good value, and with very large portions. The interior is less quirky than it used to be but there is actually more seating than previously, and more chance of getting a table. The upstairs room makes a good venue for private parties.
Great hidden gem in Vauxhall, first time there and will go again hopefully to try the menu next time. The new owners were great hosts too talking to the customers great touch. Hope it goes well gents. :)
Excellent bar great food excellent and friendly bar staff management top of the class had a great time Ste from manchester
Sorry Amer. You're talking bullsh*t ! Been to this pub many times with black and Asian friends and ALL have been made very welcome. They don't discriminate or differentiate. Great staff, great food, always welcoming. Sorry you had a bad experience.
Great food and a good selection of drinks and craft ales. Friendly staff and landlords. Went on a busy Friday night had a lovely IPA and burgers. Would go again when in the area.
Great food, staff, and ambiance.
Found this place in trip advisor and we loved it. Will certainly be back when we are in London
Such a lovely place! The refurb looks incredible but it's retained the same amazing atmosphere. Kevin and Michael are so welcoming and run a lovely pub
Amazing hospitality from the guys, really great place to be ! Very friendly, great environment and people ! Thank you guys for tonight ! #globetrotters
A little gem in the heart Vauxhall with the most welcoming staff.
Food really enjoyed it especially Sunday lunch
I'll be back next time I'm in the area..
More tvs than you can shake a remote at. Nice relaxed feel. Good for a few pints and a bite to eat.
Great quiz night on Tuesday. Fantastic drinks selection at typical prices. Cool interior, very relaxed, informal and fun. Would be perfect if they had a larger garden. There are a couple of small outdoor seating areas but they're quite limited. Still, great pub with nice staff
Great pub! Love the decor, the atmosphere, and the beers on tap are pretty good.
My friend had his birthday drinks on a Sunday night, and it was lovely. I loved the pool table and the outside garden! A great little find, definitely will be going back there when I am in the area.
This is a really excellent local boozer in Vauxhall. The place has recently been refurbished and has excellent quality screens for watching sports, a good number of outside tables and a pool room that is available to reserve by the hour (£10)/half hour (£5).
I haven't eaten here yet but the food appears popular and is served quite late.
Whilst not boasting a comprehensive selection of drinks, there is enough to satisfy most tastes and the staff are friendly.
Well worth popping in if you're in the area (it's a 5min walk from Vauxhall travel interchange).
So much better now they have done it up.
The price for food is very decent with a wide range to choose from. The options for vegetarians could be imrpoved.
This is an incredible place to watch sport with lots of large TV's so you can get a good view from any part of the pub.
Pool table and a room to hire on the 1st floor. Also Has a small garden.
Excellent food and even better service. The beers were also poured wonderfully, and everything was astounding. A great place to also kick back and watch some sports on the many TV displays. Definitely worth a visit and a pint!
Great bar staff, great local pub, fantastic offers. It's a fairly average local pub with a lot of charm that makes us nice but slightly unusual guys from the local MMA club feel very welcome. Thanks guys. Will be back here a lot over the next few months.

It's lovely that the bar is open again after a face lift! We've missed it. The new owners are very lovely and welcoming, just as the previous ones were. The pub quiz continues.....hooray!
Welcome to Vauxhall Kevin and Michael. And hopefully John and Scott are enjoying their seaside home amd their new chapter.
Massive re-boot on this pub. An old (renovated) boozer in the heart of Vauxhall! I seem to remember it being renovated only a few years back, and this seems to have changed again. While it has amazing screens to watch football, I do feel it's lost a bit of its local charm. And it's the only renovation I've seen that actually makes the space feel 'smalller'. Still a beauty, in and amongst all the surrounding gentrification and I'll continue to go there!
Great place for Sunday London lunch. Very cozy local pub.
Lovely place, really friendly staff that took great care of us. We were a big group of about 25 people and we all sat outside for drinks and a couple of hours later the owner brought us some chips on the house for everyone. Amazing service!
An amazing pub with great staff, good beers and a nice environment and feel to the pub.
I booked an area for drinks after my girlfriend surprise 30th birthday event and they even bought out free cake for her birthday.
A group of us will certainly be visiting again as the Axe throwing place is just around the corner.
Well worth visiting!
Great experience will be back very soon. Conor our host made us extremely comfortable and was hilarious all evening. Hope he hosts for us again. 10/10 night out!
The Vauxhall Griffin is a hidden gem; this friendly going pub with a mixed welcoming crowd is certainly worthy of a praise or two.
Head here on a Sunday (Make sure to book) and indulge in a fantastic Sunday roast, food in the Griffin is excellent with no disappointments.
Upstairs is the Ruby Lounge which can be hired out for private events, they also run a board games Sunday (check for details) if you want to meet dice rollers.
Also the pub quiz is worth a note as while challenging certainly draws a massive crowd!
As stated before this is a mixed crowd and is one of the most openly diverse pubs in London.
I have had the privilege of frequenting the Griffin for many years on business travel from Lancaster so I've seen both the old design and new. Whilst the design and layout are different, perhaps targeting a different group, it still retains the most important features of a pub:
Fantastic ales that are kept with the highest quality and excellent staff and management that makes the entire experience refreshing and rewarding, regardless of any aesthetic changes. The food has always been good here, and I would even venture the quality is even better now than it was.
An excellent place to go after a hard days work, and worth the trip from anywhere in London.
Atmosphere great lots of screens it's now a sports bar. Food pricy but nice. Good facilities aswell.
On the price if you are looking for an old fashioned or cheaper place head to the local Nolans on weasheaf lane. Check out my review on the other things in the local area such as Nolans .
