Reviews Konditor And Cook

Very convenient for me as I work in The Gherkin. After reading lots of positive reviews, I tried their hot chocolate and it was, hands down, the BEST hot chocolate I've had from a coffee shop, even to take away. The chocolate brownies are tasty and you do get a big slice so it works out quite good value for money. The staff are quick to serve you and gave me the option to join their cake club. This is a loyalty card scheme where you collect stamps for every cake or hot drink you buy. 8 stamps in total mean you get either a free cake slice, free hot drink, or free whole cake on your 9th visit depending on which side of the card you complete. Well worth joining if you go a lot. Will go back soon - can't wait to try their hot lunches!

Konditor & Cook are, without a doubt, the best bakery in London. My favourite purchase from here has got to be their brownies, although the raspberry chocolate tart is a close second. There are several K&Cs all over London, but the one near the Gherkin is my favourite, mainly because it's spacious and the design of the outlet is just amazing. Totally worth a visit if you're in the area. Don't miss out on the three for £5 brownie offer!

In the city there are so many places which look good from the outside but actually are really terrible when you try their food. It makes me angry enough to yell shenanigans at their counters but then I would look crazy and still be out £7 for a jazzed up tasteless sandwich. Konditor&Cook will restore your faith in the fact that there is good food in the city! Whether it is savoury or sweet their food is made with care and is absolutely delicious. For me it's about a 15 minute walk and I will make that walk because it really is that good. My favourites are the brownies, the fudge packer used to be my favourite but the Boston brownie stole my heart like a thief in the night. I don't even like Brownies and yet I can be sat at my desk craving it like nothing else. The curly whirley cake is delicious but a little bit sickly - have a cup of tea on hand to balance it out. Also, keep an eye on their FB page / Twitter as they often have cake deals on a Friday. Definitely give this place a go as the staff are really nice too.

variety of interesting cakes- red velvet; carrot cake, apple crumble and variety of brownies to choose from. Service was ok. We were there early morning. Lunch menu looks interesting.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Everything that I've tried has been first class, that's nothing that I've tried that I disliked from the fabulous cakes to coffee, tea and chocolate.
