We had a birthday party in the function room on a Saturday afternoon. Lovely buffet food (especially the homemade sausage rolls) and all the staff were helpful and friendly (even made us a doggy bag at the end). Guests commented on what a lovely venue it was. Thank you very much!

Very pleasantly surprised..As far as I can make out, the best pub around these parts..We ate some simple, but very well made food (two courses) and was looked after very well by the nice chap behind the bar..Staff great, great decor (some real effort has been made), good atmosphere and I still can't quite get my head around just how cheap everything is..Example, £6 for an Old Fashioned. Was given a complimentary homemade sausage roll, which was the icing on the cake..(And was exceptionally scrumptious)

A very community orientated pub: Penge Pong and Penge Food Assembley were happening when I was there. I've visited twice and have been impressed both times. Yummy food, great atmosphere and staff who know all about excellent customer service. I'll be back soon!

Stumbled across this pub walking one Sunday afternoon, pleasantly surprised, we had our dog and it was nice that he was able to be inside with us. We ordered 2 x roasts and they were very yummy, definitely will visit again next time we are in the location

There's a lovely mix of people. The music isn't too loud, so conversation wasn't a strain. Food was great. I highly recommend the burger. Not overdone. Bar prices were reasonable. Could probably do with more bar staff at busy times but overall I'll be revisiting for a relaxing evening.

Got lots of family together for lovely roast dinner at Goldsmiths the other weekend. Thanks so much to all the team especially Jordan Ryan & Liam for your kindness & hard work with our big group! Good music & atmosphere!

Nicest of the local pubs in the area, according to multiple sources. Nice decor and interior design that is eclectic and fun as well as purposeful. A reasonable selection of drinks and friendly efficient service, in my experience. Plenty of comfortable seating inside with lots of space, and especially in the heat of the summer, a large garden with a couple of dozen picnic benches, pop-up exterior bar and barbecue for food, when in season. I didn't try the food so cannot comment. Kitchen is open until 22.00 and they offer standard burgers for £10. Live music, jam nights once a month, quiz nights, and great nearby public transport within spitting distance (please avoid spitting at the people in the bus queue). Recommended for a great night, as evidenced by the numbers of large parties.

Thanks for such a great service. Absolutely fantastic food and the staff are just so friendly. It has a lovely chilled atmosphere that livens up at the weekends. Open mic nights are great and they welcome dogs and have a huge beer garden.

Reserved the private room for 1st birthday celebrations, the team could not have been more helpful from first email to quick walk through of what we wanted on the day, setting up the room, service, food etc. The team are just so lovely and nothing was too much trouble. They had a few new staff on the day we were there but they supported them as caused no issue to us which was lovely to see. Roasts were yummy and the private room space was a fab size for an extended family table and room for kids to play. Booking again for our next occassion.

A nice local pub. Fortunately, unlike other pubs in the Antic chain, it escaped the clutches of the Portobello brewery. Friendly service, decent prices (for London) and a big beer garden.

Lovely Antic group pub. Been a few times to this one but my first review. Great vibes, food was delicious. Big garden out the back. Great service, super friendly bar man when I came in and the garden service also really prompt. Stayed 4 hours on a Wednesday evening in July. Please do clear the plates a little faster as that got on my nerves slightly, but apart from that we loved it. Thanks for a great night!

Recommended for late bookings and walk in. Sunday lunch was phenomenal. We got 3 of the 4 roasts including the veggie wellington. Kids meals were quite big as well. Deserts were scrumptious. Neck oil and Lagonitas on tap is great as well. Worth every penny.

A real gem in SE20. A great pub with a large garden which is ideal in this weather. A good range of beers, but what stole it for me was the burger, absolutely fantastic, one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. A great pub, lovely friendly staff and fantastic food.

Generally love coming here- very family friendly, great food and beer garden. We hired the side room for a children's party and it was the perfect venue. Staff are helpful and friendly, and they've got loads of toys so you don't need to bring your own

Booked a pre wedding party in their private room. The room had been set up for us with balloons etc which was a lovely surprise and the service from the staff was excellent!

Came across this pub recently and been a few times. I generally had a great time at this pub overall! The ambiance was cozy, and the drinks were spot on. However, there was one new worker named Jordan, who seemed inseparable from his phone when working and I dunno, but is it normal for someone to wear their fedora hat whilst working? Dunno but it seemed weird to me, looked like he was ready for Goodwood Revival Penge style... or perhaps trying to organise it with his calls. Hadn't seen him there before. On the bright side... Ryan, Maddie and Helen were a delight! (I think they were the names). The always provide excellent service, made our Saturday all the more enjoyable. Apart from the occasional "hat-and-phone show" by Jordan, the pub was a wonderful place to unwind. I highly recommend visiting.

Family group of 6. All very impressed with the food. Best fish and chips I've had, and I've had a lot. Good beer selection too. A surprising find. Lots of parents with kids during the bank holiday weekend we attended.

We came here with four other couples and 4 babies, and could not have been more impressed with the quality of food and service we received. For one, the lovely ladies put us into their private function room so the babies could roam, but despite us being tucked away we had continuous service for the 4 hours we were there (including, as a result, probably more drink rounds than anticipated!). The staff were so sweet with the babies and were really friendly and patient with us splitting the bill. I would happily come here every week - what an amazing team! Also, their chicken wings are to die for!
