Really great Korean food - despite of Soho offering a lot of great choices, we simply had to go back the next day for more! :)

I came here last week Wednesday for my work leaving do with my colleagues as it was suggested to me.
When we arrived it seemed fairly busy inside but as it was a big group of us we got seated quickly lucky as there was a big qeue of People waiting to get in.
I got a variety of food and shared with the rest of my table
I got fish dumplings they were amazing, then for mains we ordered the Korean hotpot the meat one and it was delicious! The broth was so full of flavour and also the Korean BBQ pork belly and that was delicious also. I would definitely recommend going here and it's a different dinning experience as you get to cook your Korean hotpot in front of you with some assistance from staff if needed.

Went here today for a late lunch with my sister, we've ordered the pork bu dar ji gae with mozzarela cheese and additional spicy marinated pork meat. It was sooo good!:))) the best bu dae ji gae so far, very tasty and quite spicy:))

This place is just amazing. I cannot stop raving about this place enough. This has managed to become one of my most favorite places. The atmosphere is relaxing and informal and food is the highlight of this place! Ole no messin is the dish to try and kimchi was just fine! Do try this place!

The staff here is quite unpleasant and rude and failed to remember our request for no eggs as one of our companions had an egg allergy. A dish made of egg was still brought but thankfully, our friend avoided the egg. Other than that, the food was quite delectable. The soju and plum wine are two things you must try along with the chicken noodles. However, they have a strange policy of accepting two cards at maximum. I will definitely be returning here.

The place offers authentic Korean food. The place is usually packed with Koreans which is the true barometer of a great Korean place. The food is delicious and absolutely delectable. The portions are also quite generous. The food is reasonably priced and the price totally justifies the quantity and quality of food. There is usually a queue to get seated here. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I have visited this place a few times before but was visiting this branch for the first time. During lunch time, the place is usually empty and not at all crowded. The staff is mostly Korean and have a tough time deciphering English. The food is reasonably priced for the quality they offer. The service here is average.

The place is decent but definitely worth a visit. This restaurant always welcomes you with a long queue. Expect approximately a half an hour queue. On another downside, the crockery is dirty and it is repulsive. Otherwise, food is delicious. We had seafood pancakes, kimchi and pork stew. The flavors are just perfect!

This place offers good Korean cuisine and the meals are fulfilling as well as cheap. We often blog about the amazing note-worthy restaurants that we visit but often fail to write about the restaurants that offer us a good meal for a cheap price. This is one the places that I visit when I'm a little low on cash but it still doesn't fail to give me a good and tasty meal.

One of the best Korean restaurant in London. The queue that usually forms before the restaurant opens is definitely a good testament to how good their food is. The restaurant itself is usually pretty cramped with small tables so the comfort level of the place may be a little bit of an issue if ambience is what you're looking for. However, when I visit this restaurant is definitely just for the delicious Korean food. Their spicy kimchi squid and seafood udon are my regular choices. But honestly, literally the entire menu I can readily devour.

The food arrives promptly and quickly, it would get a little hectic at times in terms of trying to get the waiters attention as the place is usually very pact and busy, however that is a minor issue that can be overlooked. The price is amazing for the amount they give, I definitely never leave this place without a food baby.

My friends and I got in after 15 minutes of waiting time on a Saturday night in Soho.

As one of my friends pointed out, it was one of those places which would make your hair reek - one would inevitably leave the restaurant smelling like a walking Kimchi stalk. Nevertheless, the place was filled with the warm, happy and comforting aroma of Asian food which only served to entice our appetites.

Like many other cheaper Asian restaurants in London, you are there for the food, and not the atmosphere. The tables were small and rectangular, and the place was noisy and busy - not an ideal place for long conversations or catching-up, something in-common with most Asian restaurants in London. You are rushed in, you are served, you are shoved out via implying stares from waitresses.

A must-try in Assa is the Kimchi fried rice. (Kimchi 'Bokumbop') We had two plates of those but I would've been happy with two more. It is served with a fried egg atop, yolk still runny, and sigh-inducing when leaked and eaten with the fried rice. The rice was made tasty with the kimchi, and had a lovely smoky taste that all good fried rice dishes have.

Then we had Kimchi noodle soup and a Kimchi hot pot which seemed like nothing but a whole lot of Kimchi to me, but filled me up decently.

We then got a Kimchi pancake, (kimchijeon) which was Kimchi and who-knows-what-else deep fried in a golden tempura-like batter served with tempura sauce. (Or the Korean equivalent) It was crispy, warm, tasty and absolutely yummy.

After the dinner, we hung out at Starbucks until they chased us out onto the streets with the partygoers and drunken people at 11pm. Central London in the night is satisfying in a strange way whenever you are out with friends.

This was the first time I tried Korean food and it was great. We basically ordered an assortment of starters which included chicken, pork and beef dishes. Along with that there were constant refills of Korean beer on the table which kept everyone's spirits high and the moody merry. The staff is nice and unlike a lot of Asian restaurants the menu is very simple to comprehend. I don't if it was the fantastic company, the food or the beer, but this was one great meal.

I’ve been craving Korean food for a week and I finally had the best food I could ever have asked for here. Wonderful homecooking style, very nostalgic. Everything was delicious. The hotpot is great for sharing and spending time with friends/family. The decor is modest, simple and casual. Fast and attentive staff. It’s a bit noisy, but when you’re concentrated on eating food this good it doesn’t matter. I would come here everyday. Highlight of my week.

Overall is okay. Can’t say really authentic but it’s okay if you want some Korean food. LA short rib is good. Sweet and spicy fried chicken could be better, tasted a bit Chinese style TBH but still not bad. Kimchi pancake is quite soft, not my type as I prefer something more crispy. Budae Jjigae is overpriced, not worth it (personal opinion). We went around 6pm Saturday and no need to wait, but there was a long queue when we got out around 7:30pm.

Have had so many meals here. Amazing food and good service, would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. Only complaints are my legs don't fit properly under the two people tables and that the bill at the end is random scribbles and numbers.

Overall nice food and atmosphere at a reasonable price. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to assist. We arrived at 9pm and waited around 15 minutes to be seated - about three groups of people were waiting before us. Recommend trying the Toppoki (Korean rice cake) with chilly sauce.

A number one contender for the best Korean in London. I was taken back by the flavour profile of the dishes served here. We ordered the bulgogi and egg fried rice, kimchi jeon, and the seafood tteokbokki. All of which I can recommend. The amount of food was perfect and the pricing is incredible value. In addition to the above we ordered 4 drinks and the bill was around £66 total which is exceptional for the location:flavour:volume of food ratio. In addition to this the staff were all very friendly and seemed eager to help. Will certainly be visiting again, be warned you will most likely be standing in a queue to enter. We visited on a Wednesday evening and the queue was approximately 15 minutes, well worth the wait however

The food was delicious and it was a great atmosphere. We went at an off-peak time so we got in straight away but when we came out (approx 7pm) there was a queue of about 12 people waiting to get a table so it’s clearly a very popular place! It seemed like a very traditional Korean meal and there was so much choice on the menu, even the drinks menu had so many options! Will definitely go back again, sometime soon hopefully :)

Really good food and atmosphere. There was a 15-20 minutes wait and we went at 8pm. Food was really good especially the Korean fried chicken. Portion sizes also good. Costs are slightly expensive but expected for a restaurant in London.

Highly recommend if you want to introduce people to korean food. If you love cheese the cheese kimchi pancake is a must. The fried rice is always a good choice and a safe choice for picky eaters. However I highly will push anyone to try the chicken gizzard 😊
