Visiting London for the day. Thirsty and after a long drive needed a decent pint. A typical lovely boozer with a great atmosphere. Decent ales to hand it was rude not to have another. Decent service and friendly staff. Also any establishment who sells scampi fries goes down well with me. Can't wait to visit again. From Lou and Liz Swindon.
The staff and management here are lovely, always happy and helpful, I would recommend this pub. 5 stars.
Great Pub, with even better atmosfere !
Staff very friendly .
Excellent food ( steak and ale pie & koftas)
Good selection of beer
Will recommend to everyone
See you soon Cock and Lion
Great pub. Usually go to watch Newcastle United as they show all our televised games and it's a lively atmosphere! Decent range of ales and fabulous staff.
A lovely pub with great food, A very warm welcome from the landlady when we visit. The staff are pleasant and friendly. I would certainly recommend a visit .
Nice place. A Guinness and the Steak and Ale Pie went down a treat
Been drinking here for years and I absolutely love the warm welcome I always get from Myda and Vesna. The service is always on point and the food is really yummy. What more could you ask for?
Our local- we adore this place! Friendly, welcoming & a nice escape from the bustle in the city! Excellent anniversary celebration!

Nice pub, very nice poepel. One of the best pub in London for me.
Nice atmosphere and decor. Great photos of slogans all round the walls. We had a couple of lite bite mini baguettes with chips and two drinks each. Very reasonably priced . Would call in again if I was in the area.
The best: It's crew and the ambient. Great place to watch a match while having dinner and/or just enjoy a pint. Not the fanciest pub in London yet a pub I'll definitely go back.
Update: the ambient keeps no being incredible but if you come can’t not order the hummus (a bit spicy ;) it goes along soooo well with a guiness, just saying :)
Nice service.
Good beer.
We stood outside and drank on a Thursday at about 5pm. The server collected the beer glasses left outside.
Went in late in the evening after a disappointing visit to a certain piano pub nearby. Staff were quick to serve and friendly. Pub had a nice traditional pub atmosphere but was closing soon so i wish I'd have just come here instead. Beer was about on par with other pubs in the area. Not very big inside but has a nice feel of an old style pub interior. Would like to go again when it's a bit earlier and busier.
Small pub downstairs but a big function room upstairs with its own bar. The food was pretty good, I had the sausage and mash and the mustard mash was really tasty. The beer range is as expected for a central London pub. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Lovely little pub. Just stopped in for a beer before going out for a meal. Would like to go at a different time to see how the atmosphere would change when the crowds came.
Bar snack available with ideal bud tasting real ale.
Resturant on first floor with male amd female toilets on ground floor.
Atmosheric decor.
The atmosphere is breathing Genuine English pub at it's best as a great hideaway from the rush on oxford street. Great service, food and beer. I had my 6 year old daughter with me which was no problem at all. This is a place that takes a piece of your heart which tells you to go back next time you visit London.
Brilliant quirky old time pub.
Staff are friendly and smart.
Nice place, good food, fast service, friendly staff, good prices. No tea or coffee, though.
Wonderful little pub; great pub experience for us American visitors. Great staff, delicious food, and very tasty booze.
Stopped in for a quick drink on a Saturday afternoon and were lucky to get a table as it was busy. The drinks and service were good.
The barmaid with the pink jumper ran us through a dozen samples until we settled into a great afternoon buzz.
Very cosy pub. Love the inscriptions on the wall. They're so cool!
We visited for lunch on a Monday lunch a week b4 Xmas. The atmosphere is good, and there are some great quotes around the walls linked to drinking. I had the morrocon aubergine dish which was fresh and spicy and my Husband had the burger which he said was tasty. The pub is just off Oxford Street so may not be the first place you see if in the area but we will definitely revisit. Staff were also warm friendly and welcoming. The only thing I would add is it is an old building and the ladies were overly damp as it was a very wet day.
