It’s no secret that I love enjoying an afternoon tea with friends & family, so when the opportunity to relive some childhood memories at a themed Peter Rabbit™ experience at the beautiful Terrace on Piccadilly arose I couldn’t resist!. Luckily I spotted a special offer that meant myself and the fab Curious Claire could enjoy spa access for the morning (3 hours) & potentially burn off a few calories before indulging! Situated on the lower floor of Le Meridien hotel, the spa features one of the largest indoor swimming pools in London, a steam room, squash courts & a gym.
Le Méridien Piccadilly is bringing a little bit of Nice and the chic French Riviera to central London this summer. I’m talking about gorgeous blue hues, deck chairs, fruity cocktails and a menu of delicious small plates. I have lived in London for many years now but I had never really noticed Le Méridien Piccadilly hotel – I’ve walked past it many times but not thought to enter. I’m so glad I’ve discovered this gem of a hotel in central London!
Having Afternoon Tea has been at the very top of my London Bucket List for quite a while now.
I mean, what is there not to love about a meal that's basically cake, with a few bits around it?
Nothing. My point exactly.
Beautiful terrace in the morning. Stayed at the hotel and had the breakfast here. Loved the lemon and orange pick me up served right at the start.
Really the location is simply outstanding - a light filled enclosed terrace in the morning for breakfast - couldn't stop taking pictures. Food was fresh and not greasy. Cumberland sausages were great and a range of juices too.
No demerits - service good and unobtrusive.

...which was very good value for such high quality of food. Our party of three all ended up starting with the Smoked Haddock Soup, which came with some hot, fresh focaccia-style bread which were a delicious combination together. For the main, I opted for the Grilled Whole Sea Trout, which came served with new potatoes and a watercress salad. The fish was succulent and delicious, if a tad bony. Under this offer, my carnivore friend was able to order a Grilled Rump of Red Poll Beef, which she throughly enjoyed. To finish, I opted for a Bread and Butter Pudding, which was a perfect sized portion after such a large meal. It was light, but filling. After all our food, we ended our evening
I loved the indulgent Vanilla Pannacotta with Calvados jelly served in a little glass jar and the Battenberg Cake was one of the best I’ve tasted, with a delicate layer of royal icing and not too much marzipan.
My friends and I came here for their Sunday Buffet (fixed price) and boy did it deliver! Though a bit pricey, this is not the sort of place you feel like you've over paid. I feel like I got real bang for my buck!
Amazing selection of appetizers, mains, desserts and constant flowing of prosecco. The lamb, beef and chicken (that's right, I ate ALL THREE MAINS) were amazing. Cooked to perfection, the lamb literally melted in your mouth.
The dessert table was a thing of beauty. If you have a sweet tooth, you have died and gone to heaven!
In terms of atmosphere, the decor is certainly fancy but without being stuffy. In fact, we were a group of 6 and had a fun time. The wait-staff are incredibly vigilant and your glass was constantly refilled, plates removed and cleared...and all without you noticing them too much.
I would highly recommend this restaurant's buffet. A must for any serious foodie in London.
I went to the Terrace Grill and bar at Le Meridien Piccadilly for the Cornell University's Predictions Dinner in February 2015.
The place is glamorous, fine arts displayed on the walls and amazing glazed terrace with view on Piccadilly.
The waiting staff was extremely nice and professional and the food was very very good.
I had some red Italian wine accompanied by canapés, and for dinner I was served a delicious starter of lettuce and Gorgonzola followed by a main course of roast-beef and vegetables. To conclude the dinner the chef prepared a nice pudding served in a basket made of caramel.
Very very nice and fine restaurant in the heart of Mayfair.
The Terrace Grill and Bar is a nice place to go for a romantic date. With plush decor and stunning views overlooking Piccadilly, it certainly instills an aura of romance.
I, however, went here for dinner with a few friends. The food was lovely although unsurprisingly, the portions were rather small. The staff were very friendly however service was a tad slow which meant that we couldn't really sit and have a relaxing meal as we were all rushing to go to our next engagement. In spite of all this, I was not put off my experience and I would definitely return.
The Terrace Grill and Bar at Le Meridien Hotel, Piccadilly is one of my new favourite London restaurants. Its décor is sophisticated and spectacular; a sun filled, spacious glass terrace overlooking London’s Piccadilly, with a modern yet relaxed vibe making it a perfect place to dine. A seat by the window is ideal, since the restaurant overlooks London’s Piccadilly.
I visited the Terrace Grill and Bar for lunch as a 21st birthday treat from my good friend Tania. The restaurant is renowned for its meat and fish grills, however there are options available for vegetarians too. The menus vary slightly between lunch and dinner; I assume that the high quality of food carries through to dinner as well. Every dish we sampled was cooked to perfection, extravagantly presented and fairly light, making a three course meal easily consumable.
To start, I ordered the confit chicken, which I can safely say is one of the best starter dishes I have ever had. The chicken was moist and well complemented with the chutneys that dressed it. Tania ordered the squid, which was served with a side of mango relish. Both blended together perfectly. (photos of starters) For our main course I ordered the chicken breast with chive mash from the Market Menu (which changes regularly) and Tania had the grilled lemon sole, which was lightly seasoned which allowed for the true taste of the lemon sole to prevail.
The deserts were fantastic, refreshing and light. I had the chocolate tart which was served with a scoop of ice cream and Tania had the lemon syllabub. Both were extremely enjoyable, (high praise coming from someone who doesn’t usually have a sweet tooth!)
The staff were friendly and attentive, contributing to the extremely enjoyable dining experience we had. When we visited, the restaurant was fairly quiet, however, we were informed that crowds do start to appear around dinner time, therefore booking in advance would be a good idea, to avoid disappointment. The dress code could be described as smart-casual and the restaurant would be a nice place to visit for a special occasion. I would definitely recommend the Terrace Grill and Bar since their food, service and ambience was exceptional.
Sunday Brunch is quickly becoming an established London ritual with so many different cuisines and concepts to choose from.
For a truly indulgent Sunday, the best luxury brunch can be found at the Terrace Grill & Bar at Le Méridien Piccadilly. The three-course brunch is set out as a bountiful buffet with hot and cold options and a live carving station. As it that wasn’t enough, a free-flow of Prosecco makes the experience even more decadent.
When we arrived, brunch was already in full swing and almost every table in the main dining room was taken up by ‘in the know’ brunchers. It attracts a well-heeled, convivial crowd of local couples, families and friends as well as hotel guests.
Our table overlooked the elegant Moet & Chandon Summer Terrace, with striped deck chairs, striped deck chairs, white and gold life rings and parasols.
A talented singer performed acoustic jazz and soul classics with her guitarist while the lovely Valentino worked the room, topping up the glasses of Prosecco and chatting with guests. What could be more fabulous for a lazy Sunday!
The different brunch courses are divided into separate stations with the dessert table on its own on the lower mezzanine. We started with a few bites from the salad station station, which offers poached salmon Nicoise salad, cured hams and salami, smoked salmon, pickled red cabbage, potato salad, spicy cous cous salad and a choice of dressings.
The roast turkey and prosciutto ham were delicious and I couldn’t resist adding some Brie and Gruyère from the dessert station to make up a charcuterie and cheese plate.
The tapas and bowl food station includes hummus, marinated olives, sweet tomato confit, peppered mackerel spread and Caesar salad.
I particularly liked the fresh and tangy crayfish, asparagus and mango cocktail. The Italian-style tomato, mozzarella and pesto salad was also summery and light enough not to fill you up before the hot dishes.
The highlight of the brunch is the live carvery station, where you can make up a Sunday roast with a variety of slow-cooked meats straight from the oven. The chef carves slices of roast sirloin beef, roast leg of lamb and roast chicken to order and you can even choose which cuts you prefer.
The roast sirloin beef was tender and juicy while the roast chicken was succulent and infused with fresh herbs. I accompanied the meat with some fluffy, crispy Yorkshire puddings, aromatic lemon and herb stuffing, herb roasted potatoes, slow-roasted carrots, creamy carrot and swede mash, steamed mixed greens and a generous amount of rich gravy.
The hot buffet also includes a soup of the day, mushroom risotto with truffle oil, gnocchi and breakfast items such as sausages, bacon and hash browns. It’s tempting to overload on the roasts, or even go back for seconds, but the other main dishes are ever so tasty and worth trying.
Be sure to save lots of room for dessert, as the generous array of colourful sweets is just so tempting.
Start with Chef’s Mum’s recipe Apple Crumble with lashings of fresh custard. It’s a classic done extremely well with plenty of juicy apples stewed with cinnamon and an exemplary, crunchy crumble topping.
The main feature is the selection of exquisite éclairs in flavours including lemon, chocolate, coffee, pistachio, strawberry and vanilla. They were delicious and perfectly bite-size – a nod to the hotel’s contemporary French style.
Those with a sweet tooth will love the home-baked cupcakes and the velvety smooth strawberry and chocolate dessert pots. Of course, you can still work towards your five-a-day with luscious, exotic fresh fruit.
The Terrace Grill & Bar is a perfect spot for a stylish Sunday Brunch with excellent food and a lively, warm atmosphere. I liked that you can get up and walk around between courses and set the meal at your own pace. It’s a relaxed style of brunch that I would happily go back to again and again.
Beautiful dinning area inside with modern and bright decor which will satisfy most of the young and upwardly mobile Londoners that are expected to frequent this place and will serve the guests of a central London hotel very well. My companion was late by around thirty minutes but I was kept more than occupied with nibbles of wasabi peas, crisps and honey roasted cashews, too much for just one person though. The meal was to a high standard, a poached duck egg with hollandaise to start was well cooked and the sauce was delicious if maybe a bit overbearing although nothing to turn your nose up at, clearly made from scratch by an expert in the kitchen. The sirloin steak was excellent and full of flavour, it came to me hot and yet still rare as requested, the side dish of vegetables was too well cooked the way I would prefer with a little bit of 'crunch', so you know what you're eating still, but a little too much butter as is the style these days. There was plenty of attention lavished upon us, although we did go on a Sunday night so this was expected. I would happily go back if only to show off to a friend although it has to said now that I have experienced the atmosphere and decor nothing really sets this place apart from the rest. A solid contender to have on your list of good restaurants but I would keep shopping around if you're looking for that oh so special, 'keeper' restaurant. The price is what puts it down from 4.5 to 4.0.
*Amazing cocktails with live piano music and singing, attentive service and cosy / classy vibe
We went after dinner on Saturday 8:30pm - plenty of tables. I will definitely revisit soon, highly recommended.
Amazing! The Terrace bar is located in The Chesterfield Mayfair. We stayed there a few years back on our anniversary. This time we just popped in the get a drink and share a snack and some nibbles. The bartender was attentive, friendly and efficient. The bar itself has a wonderful, inviting, classic feel to it. I highly recommend and will definitely return on our next visit to London.
This little hidden gem inside The Chesterfield Hotel is relatively small and cozy. The staff is great and they serve several unique cocktails that are worth trying. They also do a Gin & Tonic tasting (3 gins each paired with a different tonic)—reservations required. The club sandwich was fantastic and prices were reasonable (for London posh bar food!) Live piano sets the mood; live band on Wednesdays.
Great live music and quality drinks, highly recommended! Could have a few more whiskies if I was being picky
Came on a Saturday night to enjoy some live piano playing. Asked for 4 different suggestions from the pianist, all which were accommodated beautifully. Lovely drink list too. Can’t wait to come back. Such a cozy atmosphere.
Vast selection of gin and really well made cocktails. Live music was really good as well.
A very nice atmosphere and we were treated to a pianist playing some old, current and requested songs.
We enjoyed some wonderful cocktails here.
2023 started off with this amazing stop. Please visit and enjoy.

Shoutout to the Galician bartender! Professional and attentive. I do however feel that the cocktails can be improved, start with using big ice cubes when stirring! Makes a world’s difference. Love the decor and the armchair, I could sit there forever.
