One of the best tasting coffees in London. I always treat myself to one from this place before having treatment in the hospital as it makes the day that much better. Especially with one of their delicious cakes

Started visiting hear 5yrs ago when my son was taken to gosh. The espresso room is small but perfectly formed. Coffee is great tasting with no acidic taste but a bitterness that is moreish. Staff are always very friendly and they are great with my children too. It's not a sit in more of a sit out or takeaway but I never miss it when we have an appointment. Thank you.

Went to their cafe in Covent Garden. Ordered a small latte and watched the barista preparing the coffee. The way they made the coffee was very precise and clean. Coffee was very nice, the chocolate flavour of the Brazilian beans could be tasted and love how 'creamy' the latte was. Good coffee = good mood.

I am a caffeine fiend and find it very important to source cafes with good coffees, good service and good ambience. I look for a nice drink, yes, but also somewhere that is appropriate for both a drink as well as a catch up with a friend.

Working only a stone's throw from the Espresso Room, I decided to check it out and was curious mainly due to the stories about the size of it; it is reputed to be one of the smallest coffee shops worth visiting, and it was indeed just that!

Very tiny with simple wood decor and some indoor and outdoor seating, it is literally a room in which two friendly, hipster guys created that fluffy, almost sweet coffee that is often found in independent coffee shops around East London, heated to the right temperature and served with a smile.

There's a limited supply of sandwiches and sweet treats available, made fresh daily.

There are no toilet facilities so it is a good place just to stop off and sip foamy, fresh caffeine whilst passing, rather than lounging there for half a day on your laptop; save the space-hogging for Starbucks!

Cute staff, very thick and yummy coffee with real flavour and location wise, nice for a stop off but not ideal for a long sitaround. Worth a try for a coffee hit!

The espresso room, is literally just that, actually maybe more a cupboard. Located just opposite Great Ormond Street Hospital, space is clearly a commodity in this part of Bloomsbury. But that hasn't detered them from making one of the best coffees in London. Like a lot of independants they serve Square Mile, but for those in the know, good beans is only part of the equation to serve great quality. Time again though they serve consistently good flat whites. The staff here are really friendly as well without pretense, as every coffee shop should be, and they certainly know their stuff, especially when recommending me the virtues of an aeropress!

Absolutely amazing coffee, full of flavour. You can tell the difference in quality between their blend and others. Great service from Sebastian, always happy and friendly! Highly reccomend to visit if passing through for a coffee fix. Nice selection of fresh croissants.

I love independent coffee places, and this place did not disappoint. The tea I ordered was given a correct amount of time to brew and the white coffee wasn't drowned in milk like is often my experience. It's cosy inside, so more a grab and go type of place. There is quirky bench seating outside when the weather permits.

Great little espresso joint across the street from GOSH. The “winter cookies” are very nice and the service is always friendly. We come to GOSH more than we’d like to, but this place is an oasis on long days here.

Really really nice tasting coffee. Smooth and delicious. Staff were super friendly too and the baked goods looked very tempting. Exactly what I needed on a drizzly Monday morning.

Small but nice, great coffee and nice people. Listening ear. We stayed with our daughter in GOSH and had our moment of peace here as parents. Thank you.

Ever since a fellow student suggested having a flat white at this place, I've been frequenting it as much as possible. The coffee blends are amazing, and everything I've tasted so far, has been fabulous. Whenever I have the time, I always have a macchiato in addition to my first drink, as I simply can't get enough of it - so tasty and beautifully decorated with creative designs. Yes, I do get a little shaky but it's just too good to miss out on. Staff are always friendly and I love hanging outside regardless of the weather for a chat over a delicious hot drink.

Espresso Room is quite a fitting name, the place is tiny and one has a couple of sitting options, so it's more of a take away place, but in summer there are a couple of additional loungers outside, but don't let this put you off. The time I went there the owner who's a super friendly and vastly knowledgable person (about all things coffee) made me the most amazing cup of single estate espresso that is still in my mind to this day. I even bought a bag of this variety of beans to try to replicate at home and the price tag was well justified. For sure it instantly made it's way into my all time favourite espresso bars. If you are looking for a espresso experience, this should certainly be on your list of places to try!

Multiple visits to this little coffee shop have confirmed my initial impressions. Attention to detail, friendly & competent staff but most importantly, consistently high level coffee. I've not tried the pastries and snacks but it all looks delicious and reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

This was the original location before Espresso Rooms popped up everywhere. :) It's still very good, it's still very tiny. Once upon a time this was the only reliably excellent espresso in Bloomsbury. So glad they're still reliably excellent. :)

Blink and you'll miss it. This is exactly the type of place I love to find in London, little independent place that does what you need with no fuss. Few months when I saw this place, I just thought it was an office with people sat outside but going in, I found a little coffee shop with a good selection of coffees. It is a bit small to stay inside, if the weather is nice, you can sit outside. Can't really remember the inside of it to say about seating or Wifi. If you are looking for an amazing coffee, you should come here as they seem to always get awards and everyone seemed really friendly, there is also a small little park not far and Lambs Conduit to window shop on.

To me, coffee is not merely a liquid produced by the extraction of ground coffee beans. In all of its aromatic forms, combinations and rituals of serving, it is an uplifting experience not many other can rival. And nothing lifts my spirits higher than discovering people who appreciate and value it as much as I do. I've been fortunate enough to find such people at The Espresso Room. They serve, definitely, one of the best coffees I've ever tasted. I like an espresso in the morning to get me going and throughout the day I appreciate all forms of coffee/milk combinations. Their espresso is smooth, rich and well textured but without any trace of bitterness, and the flat white is simply heavenly with rich foam and sugar poured in advance so you can enjoy the beautiful design created by the amiable baristas.

Very light and creamy. Barista is a kind person who can lead you through a short journey of coffe taste. Advise: try it pute, without any milk, you won't regret.
