Great proper Irish pub with well kept beers and excellent Thai food at great prices. A proper neighbourhood pub - unlike others less than 50 yards away....

A great pub to visit that I recommend to all my friends. The food is delicious, the service is always excellent and the atmosphere is lovely. They have a Thai chef so a lot of Thai dishes or traditional pub dishes with a Thai spin to them. And they have a really cute back garden to sit outside if the weather is nice. On top of it all the prices are really reasonable. Whenever I visit this place, it makes my day and leave with a big smile. It's one of my favourite places to go to if I want to eat out.

My favourite pub in London. They have in my opinion the best Guinness I've had in the country. Unbelievably they also have the best Thai food I've had in the country as well. Been back many times and will always be a returning customer.

Great English pub! We came in for lunch and a beer. The beer was good but the thai was better. While there the locals all showed up to watch a game of rugby on the big screens. It was a great atmosphere and everyone was very friendly. If I'm ever back in the area I'll be sure to pop in for a quick pint.

Where do I even start with this pub. It is THE BEST pub in London. Let me set a scene, it’s a cold, dark, winters night in south west London and you stumble across a rustic looking pub with blue emerald doors. The walk inside to a perfect atmosphere of laughter and music. In the background is a live string Irish band and in the foreground is the oval shaped bar as the centre piece of the room. Both young and old folks flood the bar with stools (they will soon play Pulp on the jukebox), with groups of friends surrounding the tables on the outside and the few who stand up to socialise. The food. The food is simply exceptional, a Thai kitchen born from Bangkok and makes you feel as if you’re eating a pad Thai on the beaches of Krabi. It is simply excellent Thai food, some of the best I’ve had in the UK and there is not a single dish that is over £10. The English section makes me feel like I’m at home again, I can only describe it as my mothers cooking. Lasagne and chunky chips made from scratch. Chips, fluffy and crunchy like the perfect pub food they are, and all for £9.50 - what a bargain! The drinks are the highlight of any pub and wow does it live upto expectation. Singha on tap! Where on earth would you find that? Let alone in a little pub in Wandsworth. The Guinness is simply outstanding, the best I’ve had in London and the selection of wine does not disappoint. Every drink is below £6 - a tear falls from eye everytime I say that. This pub is simply outstanding and my favourite in the UK. I wish for my ashes to be spread here. God bless The Hop Pole.

I go to this pub not for drinking but the Thai cuisine. It's so delicious and served piping hot. I love number 34 on the menu the fried fish Phad Thai... Not sure if i have spelt it exactly.. And served with homemade sweet and sour sauce. 10 out of 10!

Feel blessed that my local pub has one of the best pints of Guinness in London. Lovely Thai restaurant at the back with excellent prices. A pub with tonnes of character and zero pretension.

Quiet local pub with a good amount of character. The real surprise is the Thai food. I was recommended it by a friend and it’s delicious. It feels very much like home cooking and is reasonably priced as well. A starter, a soup and main course each was a total of £30.

The Hope Pole is located in the heart of Wandsworth, just a couple of minutes away from Wandsworth part and Wandsworth town center. The Hope Pole is a typical pub British pub. It is well decorated and it feels cosy. It has a small but nice beer garden and it is fantastic for having a bite and for drinking a good beer. When it comes to food, the pub offers a fantastic Thai menu and the classic Pub food. This time I went for the Thai menu. The menu offers a good variety of Thai dishes, all freshly made. Portions are decent and price is OK. When it comes to service, staff are friendly and chatty. Always happy to help. I do highly recommend to visit this pub.
