A good place for asian students to eat. Food is very hygienic and give you a nice taste of homemade curries. Further it is very economical..
This is a pretty good family run restaurant. The best part is the price-very pocket friendly. I had my dinner quite often during my stint in Waterloo.
Ambiance 3/5
More than a restaurant, this place feels like an extension of the family's dining area.
Service and hygiene 3.5/5
Service is quite prompt, although if you order something that needs to be made from the start, it could take a while. Cleanliness average.
Food 3/5
Westernised Indian food! Although not bad, the fare is too bland for the Indian palate. I ate the biryani quite often and found it on the milder side, spice wise.
Value for money 5/5
Best place in the area to have a proper meal for under 3 quid, provided you are looking for an Indian meal.
I am a regular visitor of this restaurant. The daal is some of the best around, they're lamb curry dish is beautiful. I don't think they have a tandoori oven as the naan breads aren't great. Literally everything else I've had here is awesome
This place is much is much better than other indian restaurants nearby who claim to provide Indian food but taste nothing like that... It's really cheap and serves great value for money... It has a variety veg and non veg options.. Must go place atleast once!!
If you take a walk around park plaza, big ben, royal hall, Waterloo Road and return back to apt you are hungry and need more than sandwich or falafel.
After spending week with other veg items order of mix vegetables with nan was perfect for dinner. We were not sure whether we will get spice and content as expected but were pleasantly surprised to taste veg nan and rice. It was really good and in proper quantity. Meal charge was reasonable (4.5GBP) and could have dined in restaurant without any extra charge. But take away helped us to enjoy at our leisure as restaurant closes at 1130pm.
Mix vegetables was tasty and sufficient. Chicken curry and pulav rice was complementary to each other. Really good dinner after a week in London. Missing Indian food can be taken care if Shaheen maintains quality and value for money. Worth revisit.
Place is great for a quick meal stop , they have a nice menu and also set meals which are reasonably affordable. Gives a feel of home cooked food. Interiors are very simple but it's the vibe of the place so it works for it.
Best Indian food ever. The people were friendly and the place is so natural and really nice. The food came a bit late. But it was absolutely worth it
Fantastic lamb curry, naan bread and pilau rice. Easily the best curry I’ve had for many years. Good friendly service and well priced. I liked the minimal interior too. I’ll be back soon.
I popped in whilst on my trip to London. I walked past this beautiful place. It was the best food around. I highly recommend this place, Best tandoori restaurant in the UK
The price and quality of food are very fine. The sitting atmosphere was literally not bearable in this hot weather. Also, the food was not served properly.
I have a good experience in Shaheen tandoori restaurant , food was very delicious like a home made food taste. I suggest everyone must visit and enjoy delicious food.
I went for their set (one chicken / lamb dish + 1 naan + 1 canned drink) and chose bhindi gosht + garlic naan. Food was tasty and the staff were friendly too.
Best Food at reasonable prices in central London. I really relished Homemade Taste and Flavors. Most dishes had nice spicy texture, authentic preparation and freshly prepared. Matka kulfi is the best.
Best food ever. I go here at least once a week and always crave more.
Great food, decent cleanliness and good biryani.
Tasty and fresh food. Not expensive. Halal also. So recommended
Good food with great price. Good service.
Gem of a restaurant in the Waterloo area. The butter chicken, kebabs, biryanis and naan breads are mouth watering. Prices are very low and I hope it stays that way.
The only area where this restaurant lacks is its ambience. Extremely dull but the food makes up for it!
I went for a collection, ordered 2 chicken biryanis 2 seekh kebabs, and tandoori chicken and a nan bread, everything was excellent the biryanis good portions, the only issue was the tandoori chicken it needed to be cooked more as it was not tender slightly soft that's probably down to the clay oven, the mint source with chicken biryani taste really good
Found this little gem, having a wonder round as I was staying locally. Not glamorous at all but the food speaks for itself. Very tasty, extremely fresh and very good value for London. Only takeout this time but next time I'm eating in and trying more dishes!
Service was fast and food was good, just a little less oil and a bit more salt would do wonders!
The food is fresh and amazing! Prices are great and the employees are SO nice! We were in a hurry and ended up getting the food to go. They were very accommodating and got us our fresh meals to take on our adventures. Because everything is made to order plan ahead, great food takes time! Highly recommend.
