First time visiting the pub, and would defiantly go back. Staff were great, friendly and helpful. Food was great, the waiter was very polite and helpful. The pub had a nice family atmosphere. Would defiantly recommend to friends
We had our wedding reception here in May and really had the best night ever! The staff were so attentive and professional and so light hearted. Everything was setup for us prior to our arrival and they really made the whole evening run smoothly from start to finish. The food was delicious and the service was great. We really really really couldn't have asked for a better reception. Even the bouncers were brilliant! We wouldn't have changed it for the world! What a beautiful pub too. All of our guests commented on how great it was too.
Highly recommended!

One amazing place. Food fabulous. Atmosphere great. Well worth the visit. Can’t wait to come back. Very highly recommended. Staff true professionals and so friendly. Thank you for the experience. Wonderful 👌🥂
Excellent food at a very fair cost. Can’t wait to return.
Went to a weddding reception. Very nice
The rosendale is a large local pub a short walk away from west Norwood station. It has a good size front garden complete with a table tennis table. Inside there is plenty of seating although I would recommend you book if going for food at the weekends.
Upstairs there are 2 rooms available for hire, the larger one (can't remember the name) is beautifully decorated, light and airy. Would be. Perfect for gatherings (£750 min spend).
I came here for Sunday lunch with a group of friends. I had a Bloody Mary and a roast beef. The Bloody Mary was very unseasoned so I improved it myself with extra Tabasco, salt and horseradish and it went down very nicely. There was only a short wait for the food after we ordered which was nice as we were starving. They had a nice selection of veg and it came with 2 slices of beef and a Yorkshire pud. Some may think the meat portion is a bit stingy but I was quite happy with the meat to veg ratio. Not the best Sunday lunch in London but I like the relaxed atmosphere in here.
Great food - fine ambiance. I love to go to the rosendale for a god meal proper meal with my wife.
Great cote de boeuf, home made smoked butter and home made bread... quality for good price. atmosphere is one of newly refurbished restaurant like too many around london... that darker cream color... but hell, the staff is great and the food is excellent.
West Dulwich is an area I've always planned to explore and as usual, the thing that lured me out of my central or east London comfort zone was the prospect of a good, hearty dinner at posh gastro-pub, The Rosendale . Part of the petite Renaissance pub group, The Rosendale serves traditional pub classics but with an interesting foodie twist.
Lovely environment for food and beverage. The place itself is spacious and well decorated.
I ordered the burger and chips, which I was pleased with. If I were to be brutally critical, I might say that the burger was a little overdone for my liking (I wasn’t asked how I’d like it), but it still tasted good.
Can’t really find any other fault, though. There are meat-free options on the menu, the staff were all pleasant, and this place is dog-friendly which is a big win.
To the Rosendale!
Fabulous meal tonight - great Steak and Guinness pie for £16. Very good quality filling and excellent pastry and veggies. Followed by the fun quiz night - nice way to spend a Monday evening.
A lovely place for Sunday lunch! Portions were generous and dessert very satisfying. Highly recommend booking for Sunday lunch. Service was good but they failed to let us know they were out of certain desserts and only mentioned once attempting to order, which is always a bit annoying.
A small bar area in the front and what looks to be a very large garden in the back.
We had our wedding here back in June and couldn't recommend this venue more.
From the planning through to the day itself. Everything was just perfect and completely stress free. Oscar and his team are so laid back, yet so organised that they just made it all so easy.
The ease of having our ceremony and reception in the same venue was exactly what we were after, particularly as we had a few kids, so it was easy to just to be at one location.
Although the rest of the venue is still open to the public, it still very much felt as though a private venue.
All our guests still talk about how incredible the day was and that it was just the perfect venue. The staff on the day were also so attentive.
We had a relatively small wedding, and I found this to be the most cost effective option we explored.
If you're thinking of having a wedding here do it!
Ate lunch *and* dinner here! On the day we arrived from LA, staying at Lilac Door BnB down the street. Fish and chips at luck wee fresh, crispy and the mushie peas were delish / purée of FRESH English peas! Steak and guiness pie at dinner (daily special) was rich and delicious and I ate every bite! (Unexpectedly as I never eat that much!!) :-)
Such a fab pub! I went for the first time today with my boyfriend and we were both so impressed, the pub is really well run, great staff and service, and delicious, fresh, tasty food. We live locally so will definitely be back with friends soon!
10/10 amazing place! Sunday roast is a must! The Rosendale is worth every penny and even has a vegan option, they cater for all! The vibe was awesome and the staff were welcoming and kind!
The Rosedale is a really vibrant and lovely spot, I really enjoyed my dinner here and can't wait to go back! Great drink selection (I loved their wines), and the Sunday roast was just what I needed (I had the beef) with great sides to accompany it. For dessert I had the sticky toffee pudding and the LBV port was a perfect accompaniment for it. There was a lovely lady Robyn who stopped by the table and was super helpful with recommendations (especially drinks), kudos to her!
We came in for a couple of drinks and ended up staying for dinner. To be honest I was genuinely surprised about the quality of food first of all but our lovely waitress Seb was so attentive and not overbearing at the same time it was almost gracious. Thank you very much I’ll be back.
I went there some days ago to work there. The staff is just amazing! Specially thanks to Robyn, who prepared for me a tasty cappuccino and got me the best place to work with my laptop. Cirenia is another member of the team. She's really professional and very friendly at the same time. Their familiar vibes make you feel at home.
As for the food, I ate a marvellous steak and ale pale, which was a dream. All is home-made! Very recommendable. I'll definitely be back. Thank you, guys!
My local meeting point and all time cool place to go for a quick lunch or bite to eat for dinner!
Cosy atmosphere and friendly staff always make this a special place to go.
Atmosphere is always warm and friendly with good hot food and beverages.
If you ask nice you can get your own cocktail made to your specialty but this is not on the menu and varies depending on bar staff and experience!
Over the years the menu has changed but the excellent customer service and care is still on point, polite and very welcoming!
I hired the West Room at The Rosendale on a Sunday afternoon to host my son's 5th birthday party.
The room was bright and elegant, with a high ceiling, decorative cornice, ceiling roses, beautiful chandeliers and large timber sash windows.
The event manager was very helpful during the planning phase of the party. He was responsive to all my queries, and provided useful advice for designing the room layout and pre-ordering food & drinks.
On the day itself, the team onsite were very supportive. They arranged all tables to the layout I requested, covered all tables with white table cloths and ironed them, and provided everything I needed to decorate the room before the party. Throughout the party, they were attentive and communicated well with me to coordinate the timing of food and drinks. Lastly, the team immediately came in to start cleaning up the room, after all our guests have left.
All parents told me the next day that their children and they had a great time at the party. I would highly recommend The Rosendale for hosting special occasions and celebrations.
Good food, fresh beer but this pub is a toddler pub, it’s very parents with kids so if you bring kids it’s great.
Nice family establishment. Friendly staff, food cooked and presented well. Although they were not busy had to wait a little while for food to come, but it was worth waiting for.
I mean I do like the Rosy but it’s definitely only an eating place only in my eyes and not ‘a local’ for a pint unless you’re outside on a nice day maybe. So it’s horses for courses I guess; evening out with the other half (food is good) spot on, few pints with a mate steer clear and obviously it’s not trying to be that pub(also posh prices even for London).
**April 22 updated review and added photos**
Just been here again, this time inside the restaurant. Another excellent experience, as having a table at the back with a few family members, starting with a share of the flatbreads, sea salt and rosemary (delightful), followed by roast duck, beef burger, and veal and classic fish and chips. All were very happy!

Just look at this photo! It says it all….One of the best Sunday Roasts we’ve had in ages. Situated in the quirky West Dulwich area, the Rosendale Pub is the perfect place to spend your Sunday afternoon.
The atmosphere was lovely both inside and out, and the staff were extremely welcoming, especially our waiter, William, who was helpful, smiley, and friendly - precisely what you need after lockdown. The quality of the food was spot on and the portion; look at the towering Yorkshire pudding.
The pub is both family and animal friendly as we saw lots of bowls of water scattered around for the dogs. The pub is located on the corner of Rosendale Road and is just a 5-minute walk from West Dulwich train station. We sat outside in the garden, which was spacious and comfortable.
Inside was warm and friendly, full of both couples of all ages and families. For me, this pub ticks all the boxes, food was tasty; staff were friendly, suitable for all, children close, animal-friendly and not too tricky to get to, plus free and easy parking if you’re driving….(don’t drink and drive)…. worth a visit.
Solid A****

Lovely characterful airy pub. Excellent food and service. Will be coming back! Highly recommended.
Pub put on a Halloween event for the children and it was fantastic! Lovely staff - especially Robin! My children loved it.
Came to the Rosendale for Graduation celebration. The locations is perfect, plenty of side roads to park for free. The Rosendale it self is lovely relaxed environment. Food was amazing and is reasonably priced. The kids meals are filling and the deserts were delicious. I would definitely come again because portions are decent and service of the staff was brilliant so much so everyone agreed. I would definitely be again for the Sunday roast. Even the pizzas were delicious.
