Live music on a Saturday with a great singer! Staff were normal-nice. Food was ojay-good! Particularly enjoyed the sushi, fried chicken, prawns, tempura, crab etc. We had many dishes but we did not like the pork bao buns, lamb chops had a burnt but spicy flavour (couldn't decide if I liked it or not) and the brocoli was plain...no garlic or soy with the weird mayonnaise sauce many restaurants give you... Nice spot though all the same!

Stunning food! Ian, our server, has such passion for what he serves. He describes the dishes with poetic beauty and they tasted that food, as well. We got the sashimi (so fresh!) a volcano roll, a mango avocado roll, bao buns and chicken appetizer, and we enjoyed all of them. My favorite was probably the bao buns and the mango salmon roll. Take a look at their cocktails! So unique and delicious! Every detail is perfection! Thanks for the amazing meal!

This is a great place with delicious food, friendly staff, and live music. The seating is extremely comfortable. It’s a great place to relax in the middle of Portobello Market.

I can't praise this restaurant highly enough. The food and atmosphere are outstanding. We are slowly working our way through every dish on the menu. All the dishes that we have tried so far are absolutely YUM. And hats off to the bar staff who all make a mean Amaretto Sour. The star 'host' is Ian though. He is friendly and efficient, with a fantastic knowledge of Japanese cuisine and recommended many tasty dishes for us to try - Manager - a pay rise for Ian please!! He is absolutely amazing. Additionally, there is live music on Saturdays afternoons. Overall, a very pleasant establishment in which to spend an afternoon or evening. Highly recommended.

A late dinner with a dear friend. Fantastic interiors , dark and luscious. Lovely atmosphere with friendly talk to customers / locals? Service was lovely and the food and cocktails fantastic. Highly recommended. The bathrooms also have a charming gentleman who keeps them spotlessly clean and provides aftershave etc. Will go again soon.

An absolute must! Worth the trip from wherever you’re staying in London. The bar manager, Dan, is so passionate about his craft. Very engaging and hospitable. Cocktail Menu was KILLER! Only 4 nights in London this time and we make the trek to Notting Hills 2 nights in a row for this. We felt like royals with all the attention despite them being full. Ambiance is perfect for a romantic dinner, fun ladies night or mature family. The wagyu is amazing and the mushrooms are dreamy. Don’t skip them! Tuna sashimi to start was perfect. Best we have ever had. And we live on the coast! You will not be disappointed!

The saying is true… ‘you get what you pay for’! Absolutely delicious sushi and the BEST prawn tempura i have ever tried. Service a bit slow, its understandable as restaurant is very busy. Can be very loud with live music on weekends- cocktails delicious and strong ;) overall a great experience, will be returning !

I’ve dined here on a number of occasions. The Japanese food has always been great - fresh, tasty and well presented (washed down with a cool and crisp pint of draft Asahi) - and the service has always been attentive and polite. The squid tempura and lobster tempura are recommended!

Sat at the bar and had drinks and nibbles for the majority of my visit. Loved the Japanese fried chicken and dumplings . Will go back again to have dinner in the restaurant .

Beautiful place with really tasty food. We ordered 'red shrimp carpaccio' , 'miso soup' , 'Ukai deluxe' and 'Uk Wagyu Ribeye'. You should really drink 'hot sake'.

Great food in the restaurant. Great service. Completely different vibe on the other side of the bar. Not sure vibrant house music is the right choice for dinners.

As far as I know this is the best sushi in the area. Service is, if anything, a little too attentive. The fake flowers on the veranda let the side down but the bar feels fun & glamorous & the live bands give back so much it’s almost embarrassing

Food was great, very pricey for small portions though. Also the waiter didn't actually write down what we ordered and we were missing a couple items. But good food and clean restaurant

We had Waiter Service which was very professional and very friendly. They knew their stuff which was very impressive.. The security where very helpful as I use crutches to get around and they were so helpful. The cocktails where fantastic and the finger food we ordered was delicious and tasty.. Even the tea that they served us, was laid out with elegance. Everything was so personal and fined tuned.. It was really nice..
