Me and my partner found this place today by chance, while we were wondering around the market, and couldn´t resist to try the menu. It's a little cozy place full of details and the chef is very caharming. We tried the miso soup and sushi set and we loved it. The portions are very generous and the sushi was super fresh. For dessert we had the black sesame pudding and it was amazing. We'll definetly come back for more.

Best sushi in London! Humble, friendly owner and staff. The food is absolute perfection. I am so proud of Zen, they have been growing steadily from a 1 table small stall in a market to charming little restaurant and I feel so lucky to have discovered them! Everything here is made with skill and love!

One of my favorite places in London. Unique, authentic, great quality, great service and great taste! I've been going for over a year and the chef always treats me and my friends with care and familiarity, so we always want to come back. I just tried the new menu and they have added amazing dishes such as my all-time favorite chicken karaage! Go and try it for yourself if you get the chance!

Amazing sushi from a really lovely chef, and for a great price. I'm not sure what the 1 star review below is about to be honest, my nigiri set was incredible, and the soy sauce isn't even made there, it's the regular branded bottle you'll get anywhere. As for the lack of tuna, there are notices in a few areas of the restaurant saying that this is because there are no sustainable places left to buy tuna that they have found, so they won't be buying any in until they find one. In any case, we'll be back soon for sure!

This is truly a hidden gem inside the small community market. Unexpected level of quality food and totally blew my mind away. The friendly and interactive owner has Japanese heritage and do really good specialty dishes - especially the eggplant dish - I’m not an eggplant person, but his eggplant starter wowed me. The food serving size is also adequate. Highly recommended.

A very cosy and intimate experience. The food is lovely, the best Japanese place in the area. Fresh sashimi and a very home-cooking feel. Definitely try the Oyako Don.

If I ever fancy sushi, I almost always come here. This place is a real gem in the sand, don't let the location of this place fool you. Sure, it's a small stall with essentially an airing cupboard for seating (which actually feels nice and cozy to sit in)but it produces extremely high quality and amazingly fresh Sushi, for a fraction of the cost that most sushi bars charge these days. There is no real dish I can point out to you and say 'Get this' because it all just tastes so damn good. If anything, try the Oyako/Tamago Don. Easily a staple order everytime I come. You must not forget to try some of the sushi as well, because it's easily the best sushi I've ever had. It's fresh, sustainable, and super tasty. Kudos, especially, for not sourcing Tuna or Eel as they are endangered and not a sustainable fish. I cannot review this place without mentioning the absolutely lovely and charming owner! He's so friendly and welcoming, and very traditional too; he welcomes you and says goodbye in Japanese, and does so by thanking you and giving a traditional bow. Such a lovely guy! His staff must be bitten by his infectious happy spirit as they all seem so nice and cheery as well. Please do visit this place; I have been multiple times and never have I been disappointed.

I really rate this place. The best Japanese food I've had in London as of yet. It's got a really warm family vibe and they obviously take great pride in what they do.

Absolute goldmine of a place, in an up & coming food hall. Don't be put off by the market - all the places in here are ones to watch! However Zen in particular is the best Japanese place in London. The quality of the food & ingredients is a real passion project for the owner. The tamago don, ramen & udon are just brilliant - so fresh & light whilst still incredibly hearty. It's an absolute blessing having this place in the neighbourhood... but in reality it's worth a trek from anywhere else in the UK.
