There is no question, Aubergine is by far the Best Italian restaurant in Tooting! Authenticity is key here. They use top quality ingredients sourced directly from Italy and you can really taste the difference in their food. Fantastic pizzas- perfect dough, well seasoned tomato sauce and light and fresh cheese.. the base itself ticks all the boxes! Then really you are spoilt for choice on which pizza to go for. Classic and original options, leave plenty to choose from. All cooked in a wood fire oven too! The pastas are to die for as well. You can really taste the freshness of the pasta, made in house and the sauce is seasoned perfectly. Good portion sizes leave you feeling fully satisfied. Delicious wine too.

The creator of this little gem in the heart of Tooting, Abramo, is one of the friendliest and most humble of people that I have had the pleasure to meet � Thank you for introducing Tooting to real Italian cooking!

LOVE this place!! We have been a couple of times in the last month... Super friendly staff, amazing food (spianata pizza is the bomb!!) and really reasonably priced. Highly recommend :)

Our first visit to Aubergine and it's safe to say we'll be back. Best seafood linguine I've tasted outside Italy and my husband loved the paccheri with lamb ragu. Pizzas next time! Grazie mille.
Cute, cozy and authentic Italian gem. The staff is friendly and the oven in the back floods the place with freshly baked pizza. Only thing I would recommend the restaurant is to find a different way of getting delivery drivers to pick orders up. A opening and closing door during winter is a nightmare.
I'd give 10 stars to this and all the places I have reviewed.

Superb focaccia and the latte is real latte.
The service is superb. Excellente. Brilliant. Etc. Etc.
That's not all. The surroundings are exquisite. The music soft and soothing. Congrats.
Also you get a few olives (really quality olives) and ice cold water without requesting it.
I just had a latte and a focaccia. It's fine to eat something small here.
If you want to try somewhere special, you have to come here even if just for the latte!!

Loved the food and the cosy and homey feeling of this Italian restaurant. Both starter and pizza where excellent, and the wine Alessandro recommended was really excuisit. Will definitely come back!

Been there once 4 months ago, I had filled pasta was really tasty and well prepared. Tonight I have tried their pizza and is the best pizza in tooting and surrounding! The ingredients are fresh the dough is well raised (very important factor and very rare to find a properly raised pizza) avoiding any digestion problems. Courgettes and aubergine are grilled not pickled 🥒 another star ⭐ only for that! Staff is polite! Well done ✅ 6 stars🌟

We had a fantastic time yesterday evening. The service, excellent and the food, unique and made with lots of love. Some of the finest ingredients aswell (lemon infused olive oil...mmm).

We were a group of five, with one vegan. The service was exceptional - friendly, efficient and well-informed. The pizzas were perfect, with the best sourdough base I've eaten in London. The vegan in the group was able to substitute vegan mozzarella on any pizza, which opened a variety of options. The pasta was perfectly cooked. The wine list was all Italian, with a breadth of reasonably-priced options for every taste.
We will be returning again and again.

The best pizza in London, la migliore!! A perfect combination of crunchiness and chewy dough. The toppings are generous and they use good quality ingredients. Difficult to do it better at least accordingly to my taste. They are truly mastering the art of pizza! Consigliattissimo
Fantastic service. We ordered a take away pizza and the restaurant made it straight away but then Deliveroo took 2 hours to find a delivery person. There were clearly something wrong with Deliveroo's system. This was not the restaurant's fault. The restaurant very kindly made us fresh pizzas as clearly the original ones were cold by the time the driver arrived. We were very grateful to received warm pizzas after waiting for so long. Thank so much to the Aubergine team for being so kind.
Wonderful restaurant pizzeria with a very cool atmosphere. Delicious pasta and amazing pizza, you can properly taste all the fresh ingredients that they use.
All the staff is very friendly and well trained.
What a delight this place is! We dined here on Good Friday and was given such a warm welcome. Everything here was so beautiful, we had the aubergine and the sourdough garlic bread to start and had the duck gnocchi and black ink liningue for mains. All reasonably priced and tasted so fresh. Will definitely come back here soon!
Best pizza I've ever had - the taste of the basil was just right - not too empowering but really flavourful and so goooood.
Their pasta was also amazing, as is the atmosphere.
Tiramisu is ok - quite light and fluffy.

Haven't had a chance to eat in the restaurant, but every time we get delivery the pizzas are amazing. Lived in tooting for over ten years, these are the best pizza's around here since 'Serrento's' was open. Used to get pizza from Franca Manca in the market. Not anymore
My favourite Italian restaurant in London! One of the best pizza ever (and I am Italian), they also produce their own pasta!! Great service and sought atmosphere. Good value for money.
Look the pizza is brilliant and comfortably one of the best you can get in Tooting in terms of quality and price - proper Neapolitan. Despite this I think this place performs better as a takeaway/delivery than eat in restaurant.
Why Aubergine isn't mobbed yet is anybody's guess - maybe because they have pizza, and Tooting already has a lot of choice for pizza? Go to Aubergine for the pasta, not that their pizza isn't delicious. It has light, crispy crust and fresh ingredients, but good pasta like Aubergine's is scarce in Tooting. I've been to Aubergine twice, and both times, the experience has been excellent. The pasta is handmade on site and paired with fresh and innovative ingredients. The chef has clearly thought a lot about the food and what goes into it because every time I go in the menu has changed but it's always delicious. Service is consistently excellent. Great place.
