After a busy morning, I found myself in need of lunch in Camden, which is not something that happens every day. Rather than use my usual wandering method, which served me very poorly on my previous recent visit to London, I consulted Dr Google and soon came across the amusingly named Edinboro Castle. It sounded like the place for me.
The Edinboro Castle, claims to be "Camden's most welcoming pub" and is tucked between Camden's center and Regent's Park. It has a big beer garden or courtyard out the front which was packed on the Saturday evening we visited, but we managed to find some space inside. We were primarily there to meet up with friends, but we did eat too.

This is a lovely little pub to visit both during the day and in the evening. The venue itself is beautiful and the food is great. Especially when the weather gets better you must take advantage of the beer garden and enjoy your meal out in the sun. I would particularly recommend the pork and chorizo burger and you can complete your meal with a glass of Pimms. At night they have some beautiful lights in the garden and it can be a great starting place to your Camden night out. That's what spring is for after all.
A beautiful spot in the heart of Camden that maintains the sun, if you don't mind the standard cost of a London pint. Six quid per Pravha and a very acceptable range of food and drinks, including a tasty vegan range. Staff very accomodating.
Nice pub in Camden just by Regent’s Park that also has screens for sports etc.
The garden catches the sun for most of the day in summer so obviously it can get very busy at times due to that. Generally slightly above average for prices too but you can get a Pravha for £5.90 so not too sad!
We used the app on a Sunday afternoon and the drinks came out about 2 minutes later so the staff were on point, 10/10.
I have been there a few times now with the lads after football, I can't comment much on food because we usually only have peanuts, crisps and drinks but from what I see with other customers, the food looks delicious. The service is very good and the staff are friendly. The atmosphere is usually good, not too noisy, apart from us of course. You have the choice to sit inside or outside. So for me, a visit to the Edinboro Castle is always a pleasant experience.
It was not too busy, and the garden had a relaxed atmosphere. Reservations were easy to set up. Orders were easy to make in person or on the phone. Heaters were perfect for the cool outdoor evening. If anyone wants regular table service, e.g. clearing up empty glasses and dishes, I would tell them not to expect such things since staff is only around to serve a drink or food. Alternatively if you like to be left alone for a nice, long gathering in the garden, this is a fantastic spot for any size group!
Really nice pub with excellent outdoor space. Plenty of room for us on a Sunday evening even though we were walk ins. The food is very decent pub grub and not at extortionate prices for the area. There is still an option to order everything through the app which made things really easy. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The Edinboro Castle hosted my student group for a meal while in London on study abroad. They managed everything for 15 of us flawlessly and the food and service were wonderful! My colleague and I went back on our own a few times to watch F1 and enjoy the great food and atmosphere. The beer garden is great (and it's HUGE for London) and the people there are top notch. We had other group meals and pubs while we were there, but EC set the gold standard and we will be back!
Fantastic place. Service was very friendly and easily accommodated our large party (15 people). Great beer garden. Lovely decor and atmosphere. Food was delicious and reasonable. Great chill spot for an afternoon.
Decent pint. Great outside area, multiple sport screens. Some nice history also
Decent spot. Food was nice and waits weren't too long at the table or the bar.
Seemed pretty pricey to me, but I don't come into London very often so it's probably typical.
Someone took my coat from under the bench where I was sat there a couple nights ago, so it'd be nice if someone there could answer the phones so I can follow up on that and see if it turned up afterwards. It just keeps ringing out.
Other than that, good experience. Would go again, and tie my coat around my waist next time.
Lovely outdoor space - loads of tables. Quick service and great for drinks with friends. The food was good - just the portion sizes were a bit small for the price. Overall great pub, especially in summer!
One of my favourite beer gardens in London. Great place to stop off when walking the regents canal or as an afternoon destination. Food is great. Garden is superb and always seems to have a good atmosphere
