Amazing delicious food. Quick service and friendly staff.
The flavours could be easily tasted in the food.
Yummy kebabs and mezze. Quick service and friendly staff. The cocktail juices were good too. Great value for money and good for big groups. Definitely ine of the best Middle Eastern restaurants in London.
Great place for sheesha, opened till late so could sit there and chill for hours. Their mint tea is amazing as well. My friend had the lamb shawarma and he loved it!
Great place to grab a quick Lebanese bite anytime of the day. Great quality of food arabic service and hospitality from staff. Great atmosphere dining al fresco amongst the locals and people watching - reminds me of being in the Middle East!
Must order...
Chicken/Lamb Shawarma
Fatoush
Love Edgware Road - Sunday night still buzzing with the scent and chatter of old Beirut. Food - good portions, (mostly) attentive service. Reliable and consistent.
Food was amazing! We had 3 starters and a main between 2 people and the only item I can't rave about was the lentil soup (still good). We ate every last bite of food (soup, humous, halloumi, roast lamb with cashews and pistachios, spiced rice, melon juice) and thought we'd burst. Still found room for the complimentary baklava at the end! Service was average, but for the price I don't care!
One of the most authentic Lebanese restaurants around. Their hummus is absolutely divine! And their lentil soup is a perfect winter warmer. Not to forget their chilly and garlic sauces served with every meal and the baklava served after food, simply amazing!
LOVE. So casual so fast so easy so JUICY FOOD. Yes it's not the bestest Lebanese restaurant in terms of 'prestige' BUT the FOOD is EXTREMELY GOOD. Sometimes I feel with these prestigious Lebanese restaurants that they care and put too much effort into the show and they forget all about the food that they're producing. And with these less prestigious restaurants they don't care about the looks and show but they're passionate about delivering the the best type of menu they care about customer satisfaction. Of course I wish they could've just recreated the restaurant decor cause if they look prestige and give out food like that they'd climb up the ladder so quick!
This is one of the best Lebanese hangouts I have ever been to. The food is excellent and is perfectly cooked. The service is pretty efficient with the staff being quite warm and friendly. They also have shisha on the outside premises. The main attraction of this place is that it is open till the wee hours of the morning.
Influenced by the reviews, we happened to visit this place with great expectations. I will always be grateful we actually did try it out. This place now tops my list of places offering a good and filling meal.
As suggested, we placed our order on the counter and we were so glad we did. I visited this place with my sister, and we did have a memorable time. The sausage wrap and the lamp shawarma are things one should definitely try if here.
The service may not be the best but the food more than makes up for it!
I had a good experience dining at this place. The food here is delicious, and cooked perfectly. The food is also authentic and very flavorful. The portions are enormous and the the food is also very reasonably priced. The quality and quantity of food completely justifies the price. The service is also great. The place does nit serve alcohol, but the juices are quite good. I would definitely recommend this place.
I cannot recommend the restaurant enough. the food tastes great, the portions are generous, even the prices are low. the staff is also efficient. There is nothing remotely wrong with the restaurant. It is absolutely superb. Would recommend it to anyone who would care. Shall visit again soon. totally recommended.
I usually go to this restaurant on Sunday for dinner. This place serves spectacular food and that too at very cheap prices. The service though is pretty horrible and the décor is also lacking in the sense that the atmosphere is not quite a dining one. I have tried a variety of dishes whether it be lam, chicken or hummus. Everything in food department is top notch and I also like the complimentary staff which offer certain freebies if the restaurant runs out of anything.
A busy, wipe clean table sort of a place, this restaurant has got the carnivores, herbivores and the vegans complimenting this place in unison. The restaurant has both dine in and takeaway options and is also suitable for family outing.
The amazing menu has both great individual and bigger portion dishes. But i recommend the tappas -style dishes. The prices being pocket friendly can buy you a little banquet of your own.
The dishes are just yummy with the garlicky hummus, french beans in olive oil and okra being my veggie delight whereas the carnivore in me heavily urges you to try out the finger licking lamb shawarma sandwich priced at just three pounds.
I request someone to please go and review the fatty rich sandwich and confirm to me that it wasn't just a dream!
This is a newly opened Lebanese restaurant on the Northern end of Edgware Road. This place is more like two restaurants in one. First, there is an area around the counter which is very light and not a place where you'd want to spend a lot of time. At the back, there is a much more relaxed dining area. Be sure to enjoy its pleasant view if you're not in a hurry.
I ordered a chicken dish which turned out to be very appetising. The chicken was tender, nicely spiced and cut into perfect pieces. The delectable dish and the pleasant ambience will make sure that I visit the place again.
Despite the place being very busy they seated us without any hassles. We ordered a mixture of different platters and main course to share among all. And I must say the food was delicious. They gave very generous portions. As we were so full with the starters, we could barely have the mains. They also have a lot of interesting juice options on their menu. To make it great the place is so reasonably priced.
The service was also brilliant! The staff were rather quick and efficient.
We visited this place for an enjoyable and hearty meal and wanted to have a great time. And thankfully, we were not disappointed. We were served a large variety of food with enormous portions at a great price. We left the place feeling so full and satisfied and really enjoyed our time there.
This place offers great value for you money and everything is dirt cheap while being extremely tasty. The food was yummy, and had a lot of interesting vegetarian options to choose from. Coke was complimentary and the desserts were mind blowing. Would come back here soon.
This place offers an overwhelming feast for those looking for a hearty Middle Eastern meal. We visited this place for dinner and we had a great time!
The menu is extremely vast and diverse and might make your decision a bit harder to make. However, nothing that one orders from the menu is a disappointment as everything here is over the top palpable.
It may also be noted that the drinks menu perfectly compliments with what is being offered for food. this little detail itself makes the entire experience all the more interesting.
Do visit this place!
We had a very delicious meal. It was quite fresh and mouthwatering. The service was also spot on and the staff members warm welcomed all the customers. I had hummus as well as some other dishes the names of which I can't remember right now. The food tasted great and I would be definitely going back.
A simple and nice Labanese restaurant with some amazing food and huge portions too . Everything is freshly prepared and the service is quick and efficient. The appetizers are absolutely mind blowing, should try some if you are there. Will go back as soon as possible.
The food here was the highlight and worth going here for. Everything was so delicious, except probably the lentil soup which wasn't as good as the other items we ordered. The service wasn't great but the place offers some great food for little money and will definitely go back there.
One of my favorite memories of living here was the lip smacking Lebanese dishes in my old neighborhood. I simply love their shawarma. One of my friend ordered a feta salad as a starter and it simply superb. So fresh and creamy! Every one must come here to satisfy their craving for Lebanon food.
Been to this place a couple of times. Their shawarma reminds me of the kind we get in Abu Dhabi..which is typical Lebanese shawarma that just tastes so delicious. I've tried their mixed grill and hummous and it was delicious. I always have their lamb shawarma, for four pounds it is value for money. My friend had the mixed shawarma plate which had chicken and lamb shawarma and came with moutabbel, which was a large quantity for one person to devour but yet so delicious. Service varied on the two occasions that I visited this restaurant. The first time service was good, second time we got a grumpy waitress. Nevertheless their food is amazing so will definitely be returning for more shawarmas !
Value for money acceptable, place nice, service ok. The menu goes on and on and on ... which tells you one thing food wouldn't be fresh. The food tend to be served very quick as well. The let down is the large tv in there its a bit disappointing I don't understand why some restaurant do that if i want to watch tv i will be in my sofa at home with a takeaway. The portions are generous believe me you will be full by the end of the meal. The hummus is really to die for so if you go there deffo try the hummus.
Verdict : good food, speedy service, value for price downside long menu and tv a place to check out would go again
I was actually amazed with the quality of food that is served here. I felt like I was in my home town 'Dubai'. The exact same taste and the prices quite reasonable not to mention the nature of the staff quite extraordinary.
Mashaallah, walla3i sa7. Tha'am bahut achcha. Lahm sa7 va dajaaj lazeez
I have been to Al-Arez countless times and I find it a bit tricky to write about it as I have had quite different experiences. The food is of a high quality and the prices are decent. The service however can be surprisingly poor at times. Before going into more detail, I would like to make a few suggestions:
1. Sit outside if your ordering Shisha from the beginning and are not planning to have food and then asking for Shisha as you might get asked to move inside in the middle of your meal because of Shisha customers queuing up outside.
2. If the outside tables are full and you want a Shisha as well as dinner, just go inside, leave your name with the person standing outside and ask them to make a table available for you while you have your dinner inside.
3. Be nice to the person outside if you don't want to wait for hours!
So, the Hommos Shawarma is an amazing starter, do not miss it if your going for a starter. Two people can share it as it is quite heavy. I usually get one chicken shawarma sandwich and one lamb shawarma sandwich which adds up to £7-£8. It makes more sense to do this rather than going for the shawarma dish, you get more for your money.
It is also worth mentioning that they offer complementary olives, which are quite nice. One last thing, if you don't mind smelling a bit garlici, ask for the garlic sauce, it goes extremely well with the shawarma sandwiches!
Amazing Lebanese food, probably one of the nicest lamb chops (cutlets) I've ever had.
Their sauces are nice also, you can pay by card and they even allowed us to split the bill.
Recommended.
Overall a solid experience.
The starter was the strongest dish we had (a little over salted but if you had it with rice it would have been perfect).
The mains themselves were good and portion size was generous, however the meat was a little dry.
We were there for a hookah session and some shawarma. Hookah performance was amazing, lasted long enough..vegetarian options were delicious. Best part was the tea pot, it was like an Akshay Patra, we just kept pouring and it wasn’t getting empty..enjoyed the taste of tea
Used to love this place when I lived in London and was worried the restaurant might not be what it used to be. Was very happy to notice the food was still amazing, very fresh and full of flavour. The juice alone is a good reason to visit this place!
Very good Location and food delicious, Shisha as well. London UK 🇬🇧
Best hummus I have ever had so is the vine leaves. We also had shawarma and it was very tasty as for the fries I thought it was very good and tasted like home cooked. We were treated to a nice fruit cocktail and tasted really fresh. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a good authentic Lebanese food
Nice friendly fast service. Big menu lots of options of delicious Lebanese middle eastern food. Chicken was nicely made and juicy. Bamya tasted like homecooked very nice.
The place is nice - specially if looking for a reasonable budget. Food indeed is good - however the service levels can be slightly improved (not saying its bad). If the majority of your customers are seated outside at that part of the day, be a bit more attentive for people seated outside. Mind you - if you are an Arabic speaker, the service levels are through the roof.
The food here was great! It was ridiculously busy and while there was zero line up I kept getting bounced around from water to waiter telling me they don't seat people.
The line cook told me to sit on the stools and just order which I did but then no one would take my order. The owner took charge and made sure I was taken care of and helped me. And after that the service was great. I did the mix grill, fattoush, and hummus. And all were exceptional like my grandmother used to make them back home.
Would definitely come back, but probably during a less busy time.
Good food spot on the bustling Edgeware road. Good shwarma, kebabs, hummus, chips and rice. All round enjoyable.
Sisha , fresh orange juice ,falafel, chicken wings & barbecue platter was amazing but the curry I ordered was bit bland .. services and ambiance was good I gave 4 star because of that curry apart from that grilled food lovers must visit
I recently visited Al Arez Express on a Saturday and had a wonderful experience. I ordered the shish tawooq and chips, and I was delighted with the flavor and the way it was cooked. What impressed me even more was their shisha. It was made greatly and had a great flavor. I thoroughly enjoyed it while relaxing in their comfortable seating area outside. The service at Al Arez Express was outstanding, particularly from the young guy working outside. He was friendly, attentive, and provided us with blankets to keep us warm on the chilly evening. It was a thoughtful gesture that made our visit even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Al Arez Express. The food is delicious and cooked to perfection, the shisha is top-notch, and the service is exceptional. Whether you’re looking for a tasty meal or a cozy place to relax with friends, this restaurant is the place to go.
I highly recommend this restaurant, the food was amazing and the service was fantastic. Best lebanese food I had so far!!!Special thanks to chef for a delicious platters ( hummus is something extraordinary!!) We enjoyed lovely food and the evening was everything we hoped it would be.
When you're thinking of having a perfect meal, remember this restaurant's name!
