Walking in Hyde park is a pleasure . At one edge of the serpentine lake is the serpentine bar and kitchen .
More important then the food is the most beautiful location of the large restaurant.

What a welcoming haven this cafe is after tramping the London streets then strolling through Kensington Gardens looking for coffee & cake. Great location on the water & the food freshly prepared on site. If it wasn't for every other man & his dog being here I would score it a 5!
My favourite place when tired from walking in Hyde Park. You can have a seat outside if doesn't rain, and enjoy the fresh air ( but mind the flying ducks!) or inside, and you still can enjoy the view of the lake. Food is good, there is a good choice of cold and hot one.

I just come here to grab a coffee and relax a bit on nice days, reading or studying. The place is cool and the staff is nice but everything seems so dirty all the time. There's always tables with empty dishes and cups all over the floor. I think they should pay more attention to this. Also, the price is not friendly.
This was our little stop pre-winter wonderland adventures began... We popped in to this self order and take a seat on the pond kind of beautiful vibe. It was hustling and bustling until the close ... We fortunately made it in time and unfortunately it was a bit late in the evening to have missed the exquisite view of the lake outside ;) none the less the food was really delicious we ate well. The deep fried fish in beer batter with chips was amazing. The cold mashed peas on the other hand not great at all ... Definitely a must remove haha!!! My friend enjoyed the pizza and said it was okay.. I greatly enjoyed the experience and the food for the amount of time you wait (seriously minimal) was awesome as we were ravishingly hungry!!!

An amazing place to unwind after exploring Hyde park. Situated in an amazing location at the end of the long river within Hyde park. The outdoor seating offers the best view. One needs to be careful of the over eager birds when seated outside.
We tried their crossaint and muffin along with hit chocolate. All were great. The hot chocolate did not require any extra sugar and the blueberry muffin was really filling. Even they do have a monopoly in the area the offerings are at par.

Beautiful location in the heart of Hyde Park facing the Serpentine. Perfect place for contemplation. Good selection of easy eats and hot drinks. Plenty of outside seating. Watch the paddle boaters and ducks but note no feeding allowed on the premises.
When the place is so beautiful - the food takes a back step.. Located in Hyde park, along the lake - this place is bustling in the summer with jam packed crowds, beautiful sunshine and some magnificent birds (ducks, seagulls, swans and pigeons) for company.
We started with the traditional Pimms. And we're bowled over. Though the garlic bread and pizza were average, we were already in love with this place by then.

To begin with, Hyde Park is quite an amazing place to visit. Add to that this glorious oasis (amid a garden oasis) that serves up decent fare and boasts of a great view and setting to boot, and I believe you will have a super chill and lovely time.
Serpentine cafe has a fantastic view with glass on all sides and both indoor and outdoor seating. Must visit for someone going to Hyde Park- whether to grab a beer/coffee or to eat!!
on a nice english summer when the sun is shining who doesn't want to be at this place...it has a lovely setting by the lake .....seating is both inside and outside...people are waiting for seats outside when there are empty seats inside...such a view it commands with the ducks swimming by ...they have daily specials in addition to the regular menu...fortunately after waiting for a long time we got a table outside...we ordered the margherita pizza which was passable from the regular menu and a blackened wish with oysters from the special menu and it turned out to be decent enough..the fish was haddock if i remember it correctly...more than the food it is the setting of the place which makes a memorable experience....worth a visit..however it is quite expensive

Every time there is a little sunshine in London, this place gets impossible to get into. Although it is very big, this is the one spot that everyone wants to go to when it''s a little sunny. I know that because I am one of these people. However, this place is beautiful all year round, even when it's grey and gloomy, there is something about this place that makes you feel peaceful and relaxed. Maybe it's the amazing view on the serpentine , maybe it's the ducks and swans, or maybe it's its location right in the middle of the immense hyde park. You really go there for these things, not actually for the food, but fortunately, the food is also very good. I ate there twice, I had a spring salad once, although it was simple, it was delicious and satisfying. The other time I had a four-cheese pizza. Their pizzas are delicious, by the way. As soon as you walk into this restaurant, you smell the pizza, and it makes you immediately want one. They also have a wide variety of drinks and desserts. It's a self service restaurant, so you go and order yourself at the till, and then your order is brought to you, so I really don't have anything to say about that, it's fine, and it's the only way that could work when it gets really crowded.

I went to the Serpentine Bar and Kitchen a few days ago to celebrate my father and sister’s birthday. I personally believe it is a an excellent, second to none, place to have breakfast. Especially if you are an early bird who enjoys to go out for walks in the park. Being located in one of London’s most beautiful naturalistic environments (Hyde Park), Serpentine Bar and Kitchen is an ideal place for those who enjoy being surrounded by nature. Both the food and service were impeccable; offering you a wide range of things to chose from. It does not matter whether you prefer to eat something sweet or salty; the’ve got it all, including a few special selections for children! The scrambled eggs I had were deliciously delightful and the hot chocolate was a sweet, delicate touch to my salty breakfast. Although it was extremely nice to eat whilst observing the over-lake views, I have to say that if you like to eat outside you might have some difficulties in preventing pigeons from eating your food; it is therefore best to watch out! Last but not least, although it is not really budget-friendly, it is definitely a place to go eat at least once.
Probably this place serves you the best fish and chips in England. .. its lakeside's view inside Hyde Park is breathtaking. Moreover good food with a variety of beers is a good combination. ..little difficult to find a table on Sundays otherwise on weekdays perfect.

Every Londoner must have a list of places to visit/things to do on sunny weekend. Serperntine MUST be on that list. I absolutely love this place and have been there a million times - the outdoor seating area by the pond is incredible and a nice jug of pimms or a decent rose takes the experience to the next level. Very relaxed atmosphere and lovely surroundings! For all park lovers who want to have a chilled out day in the sun - this is a must!
I would rate the Serpentine Bar & Kitchen just on its location. No matter what you eat or drink here, you will have the best time, if the sun is shining brightly and it is a good day to be out on Hyde Park.
But, food does matter. The prices are on the expensive side given the quality you get. However, they make up for it in variety. A chilled jug of Sangria or cold beer and plates of finger food is what they do best. Their desserts are quite nice as well and the pizzas mediocre. Somehow the view of the Serpentine, a refreshing breeze and the sun on your back makes the food taste better. Somewhat like picnic food in summer.
I haven't been to the Serpentine Bar & Kitchen on a cold and dreary day so I can't comment on what it would be like. I suppose, their main attraction is the outside seating and that is what you should go there to enjoy with friends.
If you want to take a break from all the noises of the city, the Serpentine is what you're looking for: you can reach the Serpentine Bar&kitchen quickly from Hyde Park Corner and finally relax yourself in the middle of Hyde Park. Sitting on the lake, you can have lunch or just drink tea with some sweeties.
There is the possibility to eat both inside and outside: if it's not too cold, eating outside is much better, but if you're scared of pigeons it's not exactly the right thing to do (there are a lot of birds all around). Moreover, during summer time it's difficult to find a place because it's crowded.
Inside there is a quite wide room that remembers a bit a canteen, although it's much better than a canteen: a bit noisy, high roof and windows all around that allow you to see outside.
We had a really nice and tasty Feta salad and a quite good mushroom risotto.
The service is ok. The Serpentine is a bit expensive, the bill includes the outstanding view and great atmosphere.
We ate here yesterday, having spotted it last time I was in London and remembering how nice it looked.
We arrived just before 3pm - I didn't expect we'd get a table but there were quite a few available which was great.
We scanned the QR code at the table and ordered online. Food & drinks for 5 came to just over £70, which we didn't think was bad at all! Not much more than we'd pay at home, saying we were in London.
Food was amazing, really, really tasty. Super quick service, and friendly waiters. Location is fab.

Great cafe at any weather although I find it more useful during winter as it is cold outside. Fairly good selections of cakes.
Seats are hard to get during peak. Great view overlooking lake Serpentine.
We went there for Sunday lunch, ordered pizza and burgers, the pizza wasn’t too impressive, could have more toppings. It was very busy so it’s understandable that some order took longer than usual, but their service was great. Love the view by the lake, we sat there for a few hours and had a few pints ! The bathroom line for the ladies however was extremely long…
The view & location are both amazing. Multicultural café. However, it is very busy in the weekends, so their service may change, as well as, it is pricey & the quantity is small.
The view is wonderful from the bar. We ordered a burger and a veg felafel wrap, whit chips, delicious. A bit disappointed about the drinks price, £17 for a “medium” (not really a medium a want to say as an Italian point of view) plastic glass of Aperol Spritz, I think I never pay not even in Mayfair £17 for a Aperol Spritz. Also, you cannot have the food out, because birds are going to attaching you 😅🤣

This place is ideally located by the lake, ,, whether you’re looking for a light bite to start the day right or a long, lavish weekend brunch. I tried their sumptuous breakfast on a Saturday morning ( they open early at 7am daily, Opening times : Monday to Saturday: 07:00 - 22:00, Sunday: 08:00 - 21:00 ) – chose an outdoor table right by the lake and had their Full English Breakfast. Whoa..!! Cumberland sausages and smoked bacon with basil tomatoes, baked beans, mushrooms, poached egg and slices of toasted sourdough bread. Nice!!
Nice view and great location. Could be a lot cleaner overall. The food is good but takes very long to arrive! Not cheap but worth the price. Good vegetarian options.

Serpentine bar had my favourite drink too. I can eat the pizza as I am coeliacs but I can definitely recommend it. It looks delicious Italian pizza!
Ordered the full english. The sourdough was greasy from all the food being put on top of it. It was good but could have done with more beans. Think I only got a fork full!
Pretty busy place during the weekends. Long queues outside for the ice cream while we had to wait around 15 mins. for our food which was delivered to the table. You need to pay beforehand and mention the table number. Drinks and brownies can be self served directly.
